Chapter 44 - Sudden Ordeal

"Then? Mind explaining what happened?"

"Ahaha... Lily, I told you I just got overwhelmed by my own emotions..."

Lily, Luna, and Seia are currently at the living room and are having some sort of girls meeting. It's currently 6:30 right now and this time, I was task with cooking. Rina-san was also with me helping me to cook. Although I told her I can cook on my own, Rina-san insist that she help me so here we are. Luna also insists that she take over me, but I refuse her offer since she also have a problem to face at the moment.

"Luna, I can't believe you've betrayed us when we just have that talk last day..." Lily said.

"That is..."

"Mhm! Mhm!"

On the sofa, Lily was scolding Luna crossing her arms in dominance. Beside her is Seia who was only nodding to what Lily is saying against Luna. Luna in the other hands, was sitting in opposite side of them explaining what she did.

"Fufu, popular, aren't we?" Rina-san quipped.

"Stop it, Rina-san... But well, they sure were very aggressive. They were even having that girls meeting out of all the places that I can clearly hear..." I said and let out a sigh.

"Maybe that's intentional. They clearly want you to hear it so that you're ready anytime" Rina-san replied.

"W-what does that even mean..."

It kind of made me uncomfortable so I just shut up and continue cooking. It probably has never been invented in this world, but I decided to cook a Filipino cuisine called "Chicken Adobo" from my homeland. Fortunately, this world has every ingredient and spice I will need in order to cook it.

"Here then here..."

The girls were having a heated moments over there so having a delicious food to fill them later will make their problem disappear even if only a few.

After a while, the "Chicken Adobo" I'm cooking started to emit a delicious fragrant which gathered Rina-san's attention.

"Hm? Ara, I didn't know you can also cook Sai. Fufu, you really can do anything" Rina-san said.

"Yes, I'm sure you all will like it. Expect it later" I replied with a confident tone.

I have Rina-san cooked some rice since it's paired best with "Chicken Adobo". Although it can be paired with other side-dishes, as a former Asian, rice solos.

Since it's taking a while, I was curious to what the girls were talking about, so I tried to eavesdrop and listen to their conversation.

"Well, it's not like we mind at all you know... Sai is really kind after all..."

Hm, I can hear Lily's voice. I also heard my name got mentioned. I wonder what it is...

"Yes, in fact, if we tell him, he might accept us all..."

Well, I like being with them so no matter what happened to them, I can acc—

"But......... who.......... wife?"

I was surprised to what I've just heard that I twitched after I heard what Lily said. Although, I didn't hear it completely, I heard a word "Wife" which got me surprised a little...

Looks like Rina-san notice my flustered response to those girls' conversation and whispered something in my ears.

"Eavesdropping is bad you know"

"Eek! I don't know what you mean Rina-san, Haha..."

"I wonder about that, fufu"

Man, Girl's instincts really are scary...

Finally done, Me and Rina-san put all the food at the table and called the three in the living room.

"You three, the food is done. Stop what you're doing and eat here" I told.

"""Yeeeesss!"""

After hearing my word, the three went into the kitchen in a cheerful manner. Lily and Luna sat beside each other while Seia sat beside me. Rina-san who was the last one standing took a seat at the middle of the chair.

Each of them took a plate of rice and took some "Chicken Adobo" whose dish was still unknown to them. Curious to its delicious aroma mixed of soy sauce and vinegar, each of them took a taste of it.

"Uwah! This taste delicious. I've never eaten a food like these before" Lily cheerfully said.

"Y-yeah... I wonder what this is..." Luna said her curiosity.

Seia didn't react and kept eating the food in her plate. Looks like she likes it, given how she eat it like she won't get another one...

Tying to see their reaction, I didn't touch my food and kept watching them to hear what they think. But it looks like everyone loved it which made feel kind of relief.

"I'm glad everyone likes it..."

"Eh?! did you make it Sai?!" Lily said in surprise.

"That's right. Fufu, Sai did it all by himself. I only cooked the rice which she told me to do" Rina-san said.

"Heh... So, Sai even know how to cook. Y-you really can do anything huh" Lily said.

"I don't know everything. I only know what I know" I quipped.

"But well, this is the first time I taste a food like this in my whole life. Master, I'm sure no one has ever made this dish on the Mansion, where did you learn to make something like this?" Luna asked.

"A-ah! Haha... I just learned it from someone when I'm doing something alone... You know..." I nervously explained.

All of them were doubtfully looking at me. Such awkwardness that I turned my face away to their doubtful gaze towards me in embarrassment. Man, stop it.

"W-well, Um Master, if you have time, can you teach me this dish?" Luna said trying to change the subject.

"O-of course! Anyways, aren't you all going to eat now?"

Seemingly convinced, the girls finally left out the topic and continue to eat our dinner. I'm really having fun with these girls who never runs out of topics to tell. To tell you the truth, I mostly hang out with Sora when I'm with the academy, so the three telling their stories on our dinner are sometimes new to me.

After we finished our dinner, The three was assigned to clean the remaining dishes. Although we have a few maids in these Villa, Rina-san doesn't want to spoil us too much, so Rina-san often gave us some tasks to do for self-discipline. Luna and Seia don't have much a problem since they always do this on their own. Lily on the other hand, were still kind of a bit spoiled thanks to her father so the two were currently helping her. As for me...

"I'm gonna go into my room. I'm feeling tired right now, so I'll go rest early" I told.

"Yes, we'll take care of it here, Master" Luna replied.

"I appreciate it. Goodnight, everyone" I bid farewell and went to my room.

The girls continue their task by washing the dishes and sweeping the floor. Doing with it with friends makes it fun so the three didn't have much of a problem doing it.

"Hm? Did you guys see Rina-san?" Luna who is sweeping asked.

"Ah, mother went outside. She left just before Sai went to his room" Lily replied, cleaning the dishes.

"I see"

"Haha, I kind of enjoying doing this with you two. Luna, Lily" Seia said, washing the dishes along with Lily.

"Right, it feels better than just doing it alone" Luna replied.

"I don't really get it, but your kind of right" Lily said after Luna.

Suddenly, a loud destructive sound can be heard near the Villa. The girls who were doing task stops what they're doing and went outside in a hurry.

"What's that?" Luna asked.

"I don't like that sound. It's coming just outside the Villa" Seia said.

Finally outside, the three became surprised seeing Blonde-haired Rina-san with a few cuts from its body. Holding a 『Platinum Bow』 pointing at the mysterious man wearing a black hoodie and holding a white sword with a black blade that is probably the cause of the explosions earlier.

"Careful everyone! this one is strong"

Rina-san is not in any means a weak person. Even in the world of nobilities for the elves, Rina-san is considered one of the strongest. But for her to get overwhelmed by this man...

As Rina-san kept her bow in ready, the man in hood starts to move very quickly that made him instantly get closed to Rina-san.

A range fighter should never let his enemies get closer to him. Knowing this, Rina-san backsteps from the fight and tries to keep her distance to the guy the same moment he gets closed to her.

Thanks to the dash boots and her overwhelming stats, Rina-san managed to distance herself to the guy and kept shooting him with sheer precision.

"As expected of one of the strongest elves, you sure know not to disappoint"

"I'm sorry but I'm not here to enjoy our fight" Rina-san replied while shooting at a safe distance.

"Well, that's unfortunate. And here I thought I— !!"

The guy stops his sentence when he noticed the presence of someone behind him, he immediately leaped sideways to dodge the large swung behind him. When he took a glance, he saw a black-haired girl holding a large white greatsword with her. It was Luna.

"That was close..."

Is what he thought but while midair, there was another presence coming for him. He quickly responded to it by spinning himself midair. He didn't fully dodge the projectile coming from him which leaves a cut in his cheeks.

(A fast, small projectile, It's a bullet. One of them is a Gunslinger, I see...)

It didn't stop there. Another round of arrow showered him with sheer precision as he barely dodges it. He hid in one of the boundary walls of the Villa he destroyed and used it to block the raining arrows. He knows it was not Rina-san who shot those arrows. With good precision setting aside, the arrows are faster and more destructive than before. He got hit with a few of them which unfortunately pierced through his body, leaving a hole in it.

"Man, I think didn't think this place was a lair for a monster like you all. Color me surprise"

"Getting full of ourselves, aren't we?" Rina-san quipped. "Everyone, be careful. His attack is not normal"

"Eh? What do you mean by it, Mother?" Lily asked.

"Then, how would you take this! Ora!!" the guy swung his sword in a large arc.

"!! Everyone! Dodge!"

In response to Rina-san's alert. The three girls quickly leaped up just as Rina-san said. Suddenly, a wide wave projectile coming from that guy's sword sends a destructive attack and went past straight to the wall.

"Eh?"

"Wha—?!"

The projectile emitted from that guy's sword was supposed to destroy the Villa, but it didn't. Meaning...

"It can pass through walls?!"

"That's right. That's why she got me earlier, hence, the cuts that you see on me now"

Little did they know, another round of wave projectile went into their direction. They didn't know that sword that the guy is using can unleash a round of wave projectile at a fast pace. Didn't have time to dodge, Luna who was in the front got hit on his arms and leaves a deep cut afterwards.

"Guh!!!" Luna groaned and dropped her great sword in pain. "He got me..."

""Luna!!""

The man in hood took the opportunity of his panicked opponents and close himself into them while releasing projectiles at the same time. There's too much that they can't dodge all of them.

"This is bad...!"

"Die!"

Suddenly, an opened 『Grenade』 falls into where the guy is heading and exploded directly in his face at the same time. The guy didn't react fast, so he flew away from the small explosion.

"Guh! What the?!" The guy said in bewilderment.

"Is everyone okay?! Sorry I'm late. I was taking a nap, so I didn't notice the uproar"

The girls smiled in relief when he finally came. The guy was wearing a pajama holding a 『Hellsing Blade』 on his hand.

""Sai!!""

"No, it's okay. we're holding him, but he sure got us good" Rina-san replied. "Sai, can you beat him?"

Sai gave the man a look as if assessing her entire body.

"Hm... I see, a 『Demi』 set armor huh... So, the 『Demi-Twins』 have already been defeated..." Sai muttered. "Tsk...! I doubt I can win this without taking a scratch..."

"Man, you all just keep coming and coming aren't you" the man said. "And you, you feel different from the others"

"You can tell?" Sai asked.

"I don't know why, but you feel dangerous... Well, never mind. I'll just have to kill you quickly"

Without saying another word, the guy let out a continues projectile from his sword while aggressively closing himself to Sai.

Sai also dashed toward the guy while dodging the sword's projectile with minimal movements, clashing their swords with each other.

After a while of clashing, their blades lock into each other and is now a test of strength. But little did Sai know that the enemy has a plan beforehand.

Sai later realized it when he saw the guy was displaying a creepy smile.

*Bang!*

It was the sound of a shotgun which the guy shot Sai in his stomach.

"Guh...!!" Sai spew blood in response.

"Sorry lad, I already knew quite about you, y'see? It was thanks to the guy you didn't kill that you're in this situation" the man said. "Naïve brat"

"SAAAAIII!!!"

Everyone shouted his name in panic.
