Chapter 11: First day of school

The night of that same day Shin and Rei returned. Shin was working on his enhancing his uniform with magic in his room while Rei was busy with his breathing exercise in his room

"That is gonna be all for today. I should go and check out on Shin"

Rei stood up from his sitting spot and went to Shin's room

Knock knock...

"Shin, it's Rei I'm coming in"

He opens the door and found Shin arranging his bed to sleep

Shin was already done imprinting magic seals on his cloth

"Ah... nii-san what brings you here"

"Well I just said I should check up on you"

Shin dresses his bed making space for Rei to sit

"Shin tomorrow we are going to begin our journey of life, and honestly speaking I don't have any ambition in that school the only ones I care about are people close to me and my friends, and because of that, I want to get stronger. I need more strength to protect those close to me so. So shin will you lend me your strength for this purpose"

Rei asks in a low tone

"Nii-san I too want to protect you all grandpa, grandma, nii-san, Cecily, Maria, Aug I want to protect you all too so I'll lend you my strength in return also lend me your strength"

"Shin...? Well we are brothers after all so we got each other's back"

Rei grins

"Well I'll be leaving we got to get enough rest for tomorrow, good night Shin and by then make sure you protect Cecily"

"I will definitely do that, Good night nii-san"

Rei stands up and left the room and went to his room

'I guess I should do more breathing exercises

He sits down cross-legged and begins to absorb natural energy

Chirp... Chirp...

Huh...?

The sound of chirping birds woke Rei up from his sleep if he did had one though

"Morning? But how? I just started my exercise a while ago. This must be a dream, let me go downstairs and check"

He stand-ups and went downstairs

"Good morning Rei sama, late, as usual, your breakfast is ready"

"Vivian san could you do me favour?"

"Anything for you Rei sama"

"That's great could you please slap me or pinch me"

"What for Rei sama"

She asked curiously because that was above her power

"I seriously need to wake up and I know I'm getting late for school"

"Ara that reminds me Shin sama was waiting for you and became tired so he left with Merlin sama and Melinda sama"

"So this is not a dream"

"Yes Rei sama, and you should also hurry you're running very late"

Rei dashes off and went to his shower.

After having his bath he forgot to eat his breakfast and went on ahead to school and that will pretty sure affect him.

At the school hall

"On this joyous day, I am very happy to join this prestig...."

BAMM.....

The sound of the door reverberated causing the entire hall to drop into peach silence

"Huh, Nii-san?"

"Rei..?

"Rei kun...?"

"Humm... sorry I'm late o had to save someone that was in trouble"

'LIER!!"

Shin screams in his head

Rei walks toward the S class seat trying to avoid the deadly stare of the people.

After some hours the ceremony was over all the students entered their classrooms for introduction

In class 1-S

"Settle down you guys"

The homeroom teacher enters

"I'm Marcus Alfred the home, I just came here to introduce yourself as well as myself to everyone and we will start with

The honours student: Shin Warlford

2nd rank: Rei Warlford

3rd rank: August Von Earlshide

4th rank: Maria Von Messina

5th rank: Cecily Von Claude

6th rank: Thor Von Fregel

7th rank: Rin Hughes

8th rank: Yuri Carlton

9th rank: Tony Freide

10th rank: Julius Von Littenheim

So I'm going to be leaving you guys to get along, there shall be no class today due to being the first day of school, excuse me"

Alfred left the class, and not long after that

Murmur... murmur...

The class erupts with noise

"Hey Rei why didn't you tell us that you were the Magi's grandchild"

Maria rants

"Yeah I told you I can get you an appointment with the Guru but you didn't believe me"

"Well yeah, you did mention that but still..."

"I can still get you an appointment"

"I don't any"

She pouts cutely

After some couple of hours, it was time for lunch

The student were already familiar to their self. They talked about things like their strength and weaknesses.

The atmosphere was full of joy until...

"So you're saying that this certain man goes to this school and his also bothering you"

Shin, Maria and Cecily trying to settle some pressing issue

Rei was also present but none of it concerned him, he was just looking outside the window starring at the clouds

"Yeah she is betrothed to him but she doesn't want it anymore"

"I'm sorry for bothering Shin kun I should settle this for myself"

Cecily bends her head in sorrow trying to apologise

"No Cecily, I'm glad you trusted me enough to come and ask me for help"

"Hey, you guys are getting all lovey-dovey here"

Rei remarks

Bamm...

The slams against the wall

Hmmm?

"Hey!!! Cecily, you're my fiancee, what are you doing with another"

Kurt barks at the top of his voice

"That him Shin kun"

"Hey you get your hand off her"

Kurt tries to remove Shin's hand but Shim ended up twisting his hand around his back lightly so as not to break it

"Shin!! let him be"

Rei ordered Shin, Immediately Shin left him.

Rei walks close to Cecily looking her in the eyes

"Cecily this doesn't concern Shin, it's your own personal issue, but if you want Shin involved, you have to make Shin part of your life. Do you understand?"

The air around them became heavy

"Ye.. yesss I understand"

"Very well"

Rei walks closer to Kurt

"You've heard her, you should be going now"

"Ehh? screw that"

He tries to touch her neck but was interrupted midway

~Pressure~

~ignite~

Boom...

Rei uses air magic [pressure] to slam him against the wall forming a huge crater

While Shin uses fire magic [ignite] to produce a fireball on his hand ready to set him ablaze

"Stop that Rei, Shin!!"

Aug came in before things get south

"Why are you guys fighting"

"Don't get the wrong idea Aug this isn't a fight, it's a lesson that he must learn"

Bwagh...

Rei increase the pressure on Kurt

"And what is this lesson talking about"

"It is a lesson that will give him the idea not to ever try us again and for him to know his place as an insect"

"Rei I order you to release him at once"

Aug orders Rei

*sigh*

Rei sighs

"But you will regret this"

Rei releases h and Shin extinguishes his fire

"Shin I'm ditching the class"

"But why?"

Rei was about to jump out through the window but was abruptly stopped

"Well... I wanna go get supplies"

"Supplies?"

"Don't think about it too much"

Fwossh...

Flickers away with unbelievable speed

"Wow what was that"

Aug stared at the window astonished at what Rei just did

"I don't know he just doing it at the age of ten"

Shin scratches his head

At a nearby village. Or to be precise, at the village of the Mountain levelling accident. Rei stood on the clear land which was formally a mountain

Bingo

"What a strange sword, I guess this was what was keeping this mountain balanced or the foundation of this mountain but how"

He inspects the area

"I should give this to Shin, he needs it more than I do"

He opens a storage dimension and stores the sword

Fwoosh...

He flickers away

In the evening at the Warlford mansion

Rei appears in the living room of the mansion and sees the entire class in the house and Shin working on something in their middle, both nobody noticed him.

"I'm home"

He calls the attention

"Ahh, Rei come see what Shin is working on"

Hmm...?

He walks closer to the group to get a clearer view

"Hey Shin what are you..."

He stopped midway through his sentence because what he saw he couldn't believe it

"Oi Shin is that kan..."

<DON'T>

'Huh? what was that sound just now

'Was that voice inside my head just now'

"Hey nii-san what do you want to ask again"

He was brought out of his mindscape

"No don't worry just continue"

"Ok"

Shin continues to enhance the uniform with magic

'Wow I can't believe this, Shin knows kanji, did he get reincarnated too'

"Shin I'm going to my room if you need me just call"

"Nii-san I can enhance your cloth anytime you want

" I don't need that, it will just end up making me lazy"

Rei waves his hand in disapproval

"If you say so"

Rei moves upstairs to his room

"Shin? Are you sure Rei is alright"

Maria asks Shin

"Yeah of course he is"

"Well he didn't seem alright to me, Can I go check"

"If you insist, but don't go doing something reckless with him"

Melinda grants her permission

Reaching the door of Rei's room, she finds it a little open and tries to peek inside. She finds Rei sitting on the floor meditating, a yellow-like aura surrounding him gushing out rapidly.

"You of all people should know that you're welcome to come into my room anytime"

Heek...

"I guess I was caught red-handed"

She opens the door and enters and was amazed by the sight she saw

Rei opens his eyes and stops his exercise and sat close to her

"So why are you here instead of down-stairs"

He asks her scrutinising her body and giving a satisfactory nod

"Well I said I should come and check on you you didn't seem all that happy"

"And what makes you say that"

"I don't know it's just a feeling"

She sighs

"You see it's our love bond for each other that is so strong"

"Don't get the wrong idea, I'm just checking on you like how a friend should do"

"Oh? is that so, well do you mind holding my hand"

"What for"

"Just hold it"

They both hold hands

Swoosh...

Grin...

The environment change

The area was just plain white no clouds no floor just white with three orbs at the centre. The three orbs had different colours one was just transparent, one was red, and the last one was brown the three of them absorbed natural energy nonstop.

"Where are we?"

Maria asks looking around

"This is my mindscape, and every being as one"

"Wow and why do you want to show me this"

She asks still looking around in astonishment

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm not who you think I am"

"What do you mean"

She stops and concentrates on him

"I mean I'm special, I'm different"

"*Eh? Rei you don't mean..."
