Let's see how he survives this crazy world and escapes the clutches of the Devil who sees him as his destined vessel to bring about the end of the world. (Author Note: Hello everyone! For those who know me, been a while. A couple years I believe, but I'm back and as promised with this fanfic. Though I've taken some creative liberties in how canon is. First things first, Chuck isn't evil, the so called other pantheons pagan "gods" are tulpas and even though God in this fictitious story allowed their existence, He didn't create them to place blame on them like it was in the show. Also this is completely a fictitious story and nothing of it should be taken from it as reality, my beliefs are completely different. This is not in line with my true beliefs about how the world works, about God, Michael, Lucifer, Satan, etc. So, these characters have their names, but in actuality are not representation in anyway of the real deal. This is all for fun and entertainment. Now Enjoy!)

Preperation

"So, let me get this straight, we had a younger brother this entire time -- who apparently is possessed by a frigging angel from an alternate universe -- and you never told us!?

Causing his death in this said alternate universe!?" Dean questioned furiously with his arms crossed, glaring at his father.

"It- that is a way to summarise it, but what I did was what I believed best for your brother Dean," John stated, seated on the couch, Kate Milligan next to him, while Sam and Adam sat on another sofa there-- Sam being the only one comfortable sitting next to someone possessed,

Kate fearful, while the rest of the hunters very trigger happy --, Ruby leaning against the wall, all of them at Bobby Singer's place.

"Keeping me ignorant was protecting me? How does that even make sense!?" Adam suddenly interjected, drawing everyone's attention to him.

"Look, son, this world is not something I wanted for you-"

"What you wanted doesn't matter dad! Keeping me ignorant, and hiding the truth was the thing that would have caused me and my mom's deaths!" And that is what it came down to.

Adam was of course angry at having things hidden from him.

Still, he could have understood, hell he could understand his death and wouldn't even blame it on John because thanks to him he'd at least had a better childhood, but when it came down to his mother's death, that is where he drew the line and his current rage was rooted.

"Okay, enough," Sam interjected, commanding silence before his father could retort.

"What happened, happened. We can't change our past choices, but we can deal with the now.

We should all be grateful that we aren't in the situation where our other selves would've been at this point in time." Sam stated as he turned his focus towards Adam next to him.

"Adam, sorry, but I need to speak with Castiel, would you mind giving control over to him for a little while?" Sam requested gently.

"Sure... But I'll be listening too," Adam answered.

He had gotten used to having Castiel with him these past months, but giving control to him was still something new and a bit scary to him. He knew though that it is necessary so didn't complain.

"Wait," Kate interjected, "Shouldn't we talk about this angel possessing my son? Is there a way for him to leave?"

"What? Mom! Cas and I are fin-" Adam began in protest.

"No, Adam! How could you ever be fine with being possessed!? How can I be fine knowing there is always some stranger within my son's body listening in and able to just take control whenever he wants!?

You may think you're fine with that, but I'm your mother and I am not!" Kate countered vehemently, as she turned her head to address Sam, knowing that he was the most knowledgeable person on the subject in the room, drawing everyone's attention to him as well.

Sam sighed, "Look, Miss Milligan, currently- no matter how harsh it may seem to you - our best course of action is leaving Castiel and Adam be.

Currently, the angels aren't interfering, but if they find out about Castiel, who's from another universe, it will get quite ugly." Sam explained.

"Why is that actually?" Dean questioned,

"Why is it that they're not just here driving us around like puppets and making us dance to their tune? Aren't we going off script?"

"I can answer that," Adam- no Castiel answered, his voice more gruff and deep with Adam's vocal cords, as he emerged, his eyes glowing electric blue for a moment.

Everyone but Sam tensed at Castiel's appearance, but he paid it no mind as he continued, "The angels don't have the whole -- as you wish to call it Dean -- 'script.' What they have is the outlines, the rough beginning and ending, and a bit in between.

They are believers in fate, predestination, and the archangel Michael most of all, and he is the one with the most say as the Commander of the Host.

No matter how things are going, the angels will not interfere until the first seal on Lucifer's Cage breaks, upon which a garrison of angels will be sent to retrieve the Righteous Man -- that is what I was commanded in my world, I raised Dean from perdition -- and will continue believing that everything is as it is supposed to be."

"Then why would they care if they know you're here in the first place then if they believe everything is 'fate'? Why would they care if they knew about you?" Dean questioned, though tense, still reeling at being reminded he went to Hell in this other world after selling his soul to bring Sam back to life.

"It's because the Apocalypse already happened in his world," Sam interjected, deciding to answer Dean's question.

"They believe the Plan has ended for him, he's now in a state after the Plan. Essentially they believe he has free will and can deride the Plan from its course." Sam continued.

"But that doesn't make a lick of sense. If it truly is fate then it would happen the way it is supposed to no matter what. What is this nonsense about deriding it?" Bobby interjected, voicing his thoughts on the matter.

"Tell that to Raphael and Michael, they're the ones most adamant about it. Personally, I have lost belief in fate. I believe we just make it up along as we go, now." Castiel stated.

"They're not the ones we should be worried about right now," Ruby began, "The demons have different thoughts on the matter and believe they must drive it along for it to happen, personally. Hence their continued interference with your lives."

"From where do we go now, son? When do we go after that Yellow-Eyed son of a bitch?" John questioned Sam gruffly.

"Not yet, not till we're prepared for everything he may throw at us."

"Sammy, come on man, we are finally ready! We have everything we need to go after that demonic piece of crap! We have a weapon, we have you, we have a frigging angel on our side, what is there left!?" Dean questioned frustrated, wanting to after that thing already.

"No, Dean," Sam stated in a tone leaving no room for argument. "We are still not ready. Azazel is a Prince of Hell, none in Hell are stronger than him save maybe Lilith, and she's the first-ever demon.

The difference between us and them Dean is that they don't have any external weaknesses. They don't have people they love or care about beyond themselves and Lucifer.

Nothing will come before their Apocalypse plan, we though, we care about people. We have people that can be used against us, even the dead. We have to remove these weak points."

"Wait... Am I understanding it right son, do you have a plan to bring Mary back to life!?" John questioned as he rose from his seat in shock.

"Wait what!?" Dean questioned as he also looked at his brother in shock, and everyone else as well.

Sam nodded, "Yes, that among other things. But you all need to listen to me, Dean.

I need everything to be as I plan it to be otherwise we may as well leave mother in the hands of malicious angels, ready to do anything and everything to bring upon their blood-born Paradise." The younger Winchester.

"Okay, Sammy, whatever you need," Dean responded, awe, hope, faith and excitement clear in his voice, though soon after he turned a glare towards everyone else in the room, daring them to even think about disobeying Sam now.

"How will you manage that though Sam? Souls in Heaven can only be brought back by angels, and I'm the only angel on your side, but as you very well know, I am in no state to perform a resurrection." Castiel remarked.

"Wait, If souls that already passed on to Heaven can not be brought back, how the Hell did I sell my soul to bring Sam back from Heaven?" Dean questioned bewildered.

Castiel looked a bit uncomfortable, not wishing to answer what was already on the minds of the rest of the people in the room, "It's because I wasn't in Heaven, Dean," Sam explained, deciding to save the angel from his predicament.

"What do you mean you weren't in Heaven? Where else would you be?" Dean questioned confused.

"Isn't it obvious genius?" Ruby interjected, annoyed, seeing Sam's discomfort at Dean's continued questioning.

"Wha-" He began, until it suddenly clicked, "No, no, no! No way Sam was sent to Hell!" Dean roared, angered at even the suggestion of it.

"Dean, it's okay-" Sam began until Dean turned his gaze to him, furious, "There is nothing okay with that Sam! The fuck do they mean you were in Hell!?"

"I already knew Dean... Whether mother meant it or not, I am sold to Hell, my soul is bound to it."

"Son, can you explain what you meant when you said you'd bring Mary back? You still haven't told us how." John interjected, very uncomfortable at being reminded of his wife's choice therefore changing the topic, sparing Sam as well from Dean's continued denial of it.

"It has to do with the deal mother made with Azazel. She may be in Heaven, but Hell has marked her, which means she is not completely unclaimable by it. It is simply because of her usefulness as a vessel that Heaven has claimed her." Sam answered.

"You're talking about a deal," Bobby stated.

"Yeah, I am." answered fast, throwing Dean and John a glare, hinting at them to not explode in anger at his words, and let him explain.

"And whose soul are you going to offer in exchange Sam? Certainly not yours or anybody else in this room, correct?" Castiel questioned even more confused.

"I know a demon that can be useful and trusted enough not to stab us behind the back. Demon deals are in their essence after all simply spells powered by the soul of a person in exchange, who truly is willing to trade it for what they want.

I will sell my soul and receive it back soon after, and before you ask how I know, I'll simply ask you all to trust me.

I know what I am doing, and it is in the best interest of this demon to help us, he's helped us in all the worlds I have seen after all." Sam explained.

"You're talking about Crowley," Castiel stated, surprised at him, himself having not thought of this.

Sam nodded, earning a thoughtful and surprisingly fond look from Castiel. "Yes, Crowley was a powerful ally in my world, he even sacrificed himself for Dean and I's plan once against Lucifer."

"I saw," Is all Sam states as he then looks towards everyone else for any other sign of protest. When there isn't he slaps his thigh as he rises from his seat.

"Well, I think that's enough for now, though Cas, I will need you to come with me, I need your help with something important."

Castiel was confused but accepted as he rose from his seat as well, ready to follow Sam.

"Father, Dean, I need you both to stay here. I know you don't want to, but I need everyone here to be safe and this is the safest place we currently have. We are in a very sensitive situation right now, so please, don't fight me on this." Sam pleaded.

John and Dean reluctantly nodded, and as they did Sam smiled and left, Castiel following along with him.

'Now, it's time to find my dear lost Grandfather.' Sam thought to himself as he and Castiel- who had allowed Adam back into control, Adam and Castiel already having discussed and accepted to follow after Sam- entered their vehicle, started the engine, who came to life with a roar as they left towards their destination.
