Kumo

(AN: back on track with the real story)

Getting up I blinked as I yawned and groaned. Looking down I saw Mito wrapped firmly around by a fox tail with another one wrapped around me. Gaining a bit more control over myself I made a clone and switched with it. Cracking my neck and back I headed for the bathroom to freshen up.

After five minutes I came out showered and ready. It's been a five days since mito's birthday and a kumo team would be arriving in two days. Going into the closet I got dressed I'm my anbu attire, while putting my mask fox mask on the side of my head. Making sure I had everything I needed I opened the door and closed it. Arriving downstairs I looked at the clock and saw 3:00 AM. Looking towards the table with tired and sleepy eyes I saw kakashi looking normal with his itcha-itcha while in full anbu gear with his mask on the side of his head. Next to him was shisui who had his head planted firmly on the table dressed the same as me and kakashi. Slowly making my way to the table I slumped down only now noticing itachi doing the same. Blinking at each other we asked "where you come from?" Gaining a snort from mikoto who was also in her anbu gear. As she hit shisui upside the head making him jump in surprise. After hitting shisui she and her clones poured us some coffee and gave us breakfast burritos.

"Thanks mom/mikoto" came our replies.

Nodding she spoke "be at the hokages office in three minutes so down your coffee and eat on the way. I'll meet you there." As she finished she disappeared in a body flicker.

Looking at the two uchiha and myself I spoke "we'd be fucked if it wasn't for her."

Chucking kakashi put away his book as he downed his coffee and grabbed his food "damm right but her cooking is to good if we stopped eneeding her we wouldn't be able to have this." He spoke while raising his breakfast burrito.

"He's right mikoto's food is to addicting, maybe this is how she controls us so easily." Shisui added as he narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the burrito.

"Hmm she's teaching the girls how to cook as well." I added

"We're doomed." Came itachis voice as he took a bite of his burrito. After a second he added while heading towards the door. "If just mikoto cooking alone tastes this good imagine them all cooking together."

"Shit." Came our replies as we followed him.

As we got out I locked the door as we jumped up into the trees and headed towards the hokages office while eating.

*two minutes later*

As we made it to the tower we finished eating and put on our masks. We felt as lion came and greeted us. As kakashi spoke "alright no more messing around. anbu mode it's mission time."

Nodding we controlled our emotions as our eyes hardened and gained a serious glint to them. They turned im from the eyes of family men into those of trained killers.

Climbing into the office through a secret hatch we lined up and kneeled down in front of the woman in front of us. While dragon watched from the side.

"Hokage-sama" came our stoic and monotone voices.

Missing at us she spoke "stand." After doing so we stood straight and waited for our briefing. "As you know kumo's sending a team to us for a message your job is to intercept and watch them make sure they don't do anything suspicious and get here safely we don't need one of them dying and kumo starting a war. Secondly one of you will note down their appearances and names if you recognize them. You'll then use a summon to deliver this information. Any questions?"

After a second dog asked "if they turn hostile?"

"Then they become enemies of konoha." Was her answer. Nodding at the answer we stayed quiet. "No more questions good. Dragon anything else?"

Walking forward dragon spoke "yes kumo has sent a team to each of the three other major villages so we can conclude that this will probably be a kage summit. If so than stay ready lady tsunade made it obvious who she wants as he guard detail if that is to happen." Dragon spoke in a emotionless monotone but everyone could hear her annoyance.

Smirking a bit tsunade let it known "yup I want MY best anbu team to guard me YOU will be in charge of the village if I leave. Now dismissed go intercept the kumo team they are going to pass through Nita village it's right on the edge of the land of fire and land of hot water."

As her words fell we quickly disappeared with body flickers and headed for the anbu tunnel that was in one of the training fields that lead outside.

*later that night*

Arriving in Nita village we set up a fire and waited Juno should be arriving tomorrow than make the day trip to konoha after. "I'll take first watch, than lion, crow, fox, and then weasel last. Get some rest we had a long day."

Nodding we sat on tree beaches and waited for our time for watch while resting up.

After about eight hours I was woken up by

Crow. Shaking the sleep from my mind with a small minutiae drop of kurami's chakra I stretched for a few seconds before jumping up to a higher branch. As I got there I asked "want to join me or pretend your asleep."

"How did you know I've trained my body to breath and keep my heartbeat at the perfect intervals for sleep." Lion asked in a monotone as he got up next to me.

"That's the reason why listen to the other's heartbeats and breaths. There all similar but not consistent if you want it to be believable than mix it up but not by much." I stated

"Hmm I see." He trailed off

"We trust our lives with each other like any good teammates should but I have to ask do you not like me for the kyuubi." I asked

"What no why would you ask that." He asked back

"Because you never join us for when we go over to my house before missions." I stated

"Well I ahh." He seemed stumped so I helped him.

"Kurami doesn't hate you for holding the wood release power." I stated bluntly

"How can't she though." He asked letting a surprised tone out.

"Simple she hates hashirama for sticking a tree up her ass and that's about it. So as long as you don't do that your fine." I stated while patting his back.

"Still shouldn't she be mad at me I hold his power." He asked

"Simple she believes that you can't punish the child for the father's mistakes it's the same with you. You and hashirama arnt blood related but you have his power and cells artificially added to you so your like his child in a way." I said before continuing "now after this is done your ganna meet my fiancé." I stated as if it was fact before finishing "now go to sleep."

Hesitantly nodding he went back to his spot and I listened and felt as he tried to take my advise on fake breathing into action as I whispered "fake sleep practice can wait it's kumo they have two jinchuuriki we might need you now sleep." I smirked a little as I felt him trailing off to sleep and I asked "how'd I do."

"Good I never had the heart to tell him that even shisui could tell he was faking." Said a lazy voice besides me.

"You know your supposed to be asleep." I asked

"Meh I wanted to keep my little brother company." Dog spoke from my side.

Nodding I added "you have a bad feeling too."

Sighing he just nodded in agreement. "Yes, your theory of a jinchuuriki is probably right I just hope it's the two tails. We can handle the cat easily if we all work together. The eight tails on the other hand."

"Hmm I agree but if the right tails shows and starts a fight I'm summoning kurami to put the squid in its place." I hummed and stated. "Even if it reveals that we have what they would think as a fully realized jinchuuriki I'm not risking loosing any of you." I spoke leaving no room for argument.

Putting a hand on my shoulder her spoke letting a little pride into his voice "I wouldn't expect anything else from my brother and the kage no akuma of konoha."

Smiling up at him I just kept my sensor ability at max before we both looked at the beautiful night sky.
