Itachi Uchiha

(AN: this chapter if from itachi's point of view during their latest mission and shine a little bit of light on what's really going on at the borders between kumo and konoha.)

Leaving my house and clan compound I quickly ran up a wall onto the roofed and started heading towards my destination while thinking about the conversation I had with my mother. 'She wants me and shisui to help teach an old friends son I wonder who it is they have to be important for her to ask me. It could be a clan heads child hmm.' I was knocked out of my thoughts by a whistle.

"Yo itachi what's up looks like you got something on your mind." I voice said to my right sounding more like a statement than a question. Looking over I saw a black haired young man with 2 black eyes and hair. Smiling a little I remarked.

"Yes my mom asked me to help teach an old friend's son." I answered politely.

"Hmm what's so interesting about that that you would think so hard about it?" He asked genuinely curious now. 'Not that I can blame him I'm usually focused and stoic.' I thought.

"Oh that's not all she also asked for your help so it can't be just some random kid they have to be important." I said while dipping back into thought on who it could be.

"Why didn't she tell you who it was that you were training?" He asked.

"Mom told me that it was a secret and that there are ti many ears in the compound." I said absent mindedly.

"Hmm it's probably a clan heads kid or some super prodigy like you we need more prodigy's with how our last few missions went the battles at the borders are only getting worse." He said bitterly.

Wincing at the reminder that war was right around the corner I decided to finish the topic and change it.

"So you ganna join me in training your super prodigy." I asked letting a little teasing tone in at the end.

In return shisui let that always present smile grace his features as he spoke, "Yes you got my curiosity peaked I'm going to train the best anbu prodigy ever." He spoke with confidence making me chuckle a little. Shisui and I stoped on a building overlooking a seemingly normal shinobi clothes and weapons shop. Looking over at shisui we both went back to our stoic mode that was trained into us. As we opend the door the man at the register looked at us nodded. We let some chakra out in a specific pattern and he went back to his news paper. Walking into the dressing room we tapped on the door in another specific pattern and a hidden hatch opens up and we went inside.

Following the well lit hallway we saw a few people in the bunks and cafeteria. 'This place always looks so desolate with everyone out on constant missions and border patrols I wonder how it's like during peace time I bet these halls would be filled and not empty at least.' I thought as we made our way through now fully garbed in anbu gear and masks. Shisui's mask being a crow and mine a weasel. After 20 seconds of walking we came across a door marked *TEAM RO* walking up to it and opening it up we were met with a 3 anbu 2 men and a woman they were dog, lion, and cat our team members.

"Weasel and crow nice of you to join us how was your walk over." Dog spoke and I winced at the meaning of his words. Both me and crow glanced up at the clock and noticed we were 2 minutes late.

'Shit' was the simultaneous thought we shared between each other "Sorry captain but my mother had personal matters to discuss with me and shisui." I said quickly.

"Hmm I see I'll be increasing your training when we get back." Than motioning us to line up he walked over to a desk and grabbed a folder. "Ok now that we have that out of the way it's time for the debrief, it's a routine patrol mission along the kumo border which most likely means another confrontation with some kumo nin. Same rules as always don't interfere or act unless on our side of the border and capture their squad leader for T&I." He paused and added as an afterthought "I heard anko had been getting pretty good at torture now that we constantly bring her victims *cough* I mean prisoners." Shaking his head he poked back at us and spoke "Same formation as always cat leads, weasel and crow on the sides, while me and lion take up the back. And remember no talking once we get out hand signs only we're going silent." He spoke as cat headed towards the door with me and crow following.

*one day later*

While hopping from tree to tree not making a noice at all we traces the kumo border passing other anbu patrols along the way and making sure their friendly and not enemy's with anbu code. After a few more hours cat suddenly rose her hand and stopped on a branch and her head shot to the right. Forming up silently dog asked what is it in code and she replied movement 70 yards. Nodding his head he signed to us to focus right and wait in the shadows.

After 20 seconds we heard footsteps as a kumo team came towards us. As they became visible we spotted 1 chunin with 3 genin looking towards dog he sighed for us to wait and see if they cross the line. Just than they came to the border and stopped.

'Are they just a border patrol like us and not one of their testing teams they do seem a little weak to be testing our defenses.' I thought while looking at them with my sharingon seeing that they have only genin and chunin level chakra 'any one of us could completely dismantle their squad single-handedly.' Signing to dig their chakra amounts he nodded and looked back at the kumo squad curiously.

Just than they looked around than the chunin went to a rock looked around than picked it up revealing a folder underneath.

'They have a spy or we have a traitor.' Was my immediate thought on the matter. As the chunin was rounding up his genin I looked at dog for a order that folder could hold valuable information.

Looking back at his squad and than the chunin he gave the order. 'Take them out quickly and without any evidence.' And as soon as it started it ended. Three dead genes and one knocked out and tied up chunin grabbing the bodies we made it back over the border to our side. The whole conflict lasting a mere 5 seconds. Looking at us dog signed 'make it look like they invaded our territory and leave the genin bodies.' As he hoisted the chunin on his shoulder.

After a few minutes of setting up the bodies we got ready to finish our mission and report back. Dog took position in the middle between me and crow.

*one day later*

The rest of the patrol went smoothly only a few annoyances with having to knock the chunin out again. Arriving back at the village we used a hidden tunnel for anbu only to get into anbu headquarters. Sog told us to write our reports before heading to T&I with the chunin I gave the chunin a pitying look as he had a worse fate than anyone dealing with anko. But as I was writing down my report I also couldn't help the happy smile that appeared behind my mask at the thought of getting back home to my girlfriend Izumi. Also about finally figuring out who my mysterious student is. Looking at shisui as he looked at me we had the same thought 'let's finish this and hurry back to my/itachi's house.'

After another 10 minutes we finished our reports we were about to leave when cat stopped us "you 2 seem to be in a hurry anything going on?" She questioned.

"Yes my mom asked me and shisui teach an old friends kid." I answered trusting my team mate.

"Oh she asked 2 anbu prodigy's to train some kid who are they?" She curiously replied.

"Don't know all I do know is that it's a young boy." I answered.

"Interesting well whatever I have shit to do." She answered loosing interest mostly and she left through the door her purple hair fluttering behind her.

Doing the same me and shisui made our way to the compound I went to visit Izumi while shisui got some supplies for training.

*A few hours later*

After spending some time with my girlfriend I made my way to shisui's house to find him on his couch past out with a good amount kunai and shurikins in a bag nodding my head I clapped my hands to wake him up. We're shinobi and you never wake up a shinobi with a touch that will just get you killed. He startled awake while yawning and rubbing his eyes.

"Come on shisui it's time to meet our student." I said.

"Hmm ok *yawn* just give me a second." He spoke.

Sighing I went towards the door. As he got up and prepared. As he did he looked at me as his eyes widened and a shit eating grin came across his face, I didn't see it because I was turned around. As we made our way to my moms house I kept hearing him giggle and look at me. Gaining an eye twitch I looked at him and asked

"What?"

"Oh nothing." He said innocently and looked away. I just ignored him as we arrived at my door to knock on it. When it opens revealing my little brother.

"Big bro!" He yelled in surprise. Than grinning he asked.

"Can you help train me today dads busy and mom said she has something to do."

Softening my eyes at him I replied.

"Sorry sasuke but I have to help mom with that thing so how about tomorrow."

He pouted and answered "fine but promise me."

Grinning I spoke "I promise to train you tomorrow. Now where's mom."

"She's in the back and you better keep your promise." He answered back.

Nodding while going around the house into the back we saw my mom watering the plants while humming. Noticing we were here she turned around and a smile fired on her face before it disappeared and she bosy flickered next to me grabbing my shoulder and exclaiming

"Who defiled my innocent little boy!" As shisui busted out laughing and his giggles and side king glances made a lot more sense now.
