"Anyway when are you going teach me how to kill a vampire" Jeremy was already getting sick of the weird talk he was having

"What you need to know is that even though vampires are superior to humans in physical prowess thats why we have to be sneaky and deceptive otherwise you will never beat a vampire

The weaknesses that we are aware of is that wooden stake to the heart kills them and wooden bullets can cause them great harm. Vampires are extremely flammable proving to be very effective in killing them and disposing their corpses. The sun will incinerate them but some have an item that shields them but most vampires will die to the sun. Finally, vervain is a deadly substance to them open the trunk I left a small vial in there"

Jeremy felt bored listening to the lecture but he had to feign ignorance so he pulled the trunk to find a small vial of vervain

"Is this all" the amount was so small it wouldn't actually have killed a vampire

"No I have a larger amount but the source isn't exactly infinite so I use it more for a distraction so I can stake them"

"We're here Jeremy" he stopped at a bar called the Yankys

"So we travelled for more than 4 hours so you could have a drink"

"No recently there has been reports of victims drained of blood in this area so we will stake here until midnight then You will kill a vampire" he said bluntly as if it was the most normal thing ever

"I have literally never killed before and you expect me to kill one now!" Jeremy genuinely felt outraged at what was being demanded of him

"Don't worry about the details since I will be bait" John showed off his ring

"Jeremy this ring makes it so when I die I come back after a bit of time, this was your fathers and eventually I will pass this to you when you become a professional vampire hunter"

"So why did my father die if this ring make you immortal?"

"It only protects you from the supernatural such as vampires

No time to feel sad since we're vampire hunting, I will drink vervain and since this is still a recent vampire who is still very is messy it will most likely drain my blood since I seem like an easy target and an unexpecting victim for it and when it does drink my blood it shall cause excruciating pain and just incase that isn't enough help I will stab its leg with a stake"

Jeremy felt like the plan was well made and it appeared that John had thoroughly investigated this vampire

"Just know if you hesitate you will be killed with no mercy since these are monsters don't care about human life especially someone that tried to kill them

The duo had waited until midnight where Jeremy was nicely hidden while John stood on the pavement pretending to talk on his phone

Just when Jeremy was starting to think that the vampire would never show, John was abruptly slammed against the ground as the hooded figure bared it's fangs into John

"Arghh" let out groan in pain as the creature started sucking the life out of him

John stabbed a stake through his stomach as the vampire jumped back screaming in pain as its throat was burning

Jeremy saw his chance and ran up to the back preparing to stab it in the chest

The vampire had heard him turning around and immediately changed targets pouncing at Jeremy

He was suddenly shocked causing him to get pinned and dropping the stake. Jeremy tried to push the vampire off him and succeeded due to it being weakened

Jeremy pulled out the stake on its stomach and plunged it into the vampire's heart without any hesitation

His breath had become unstable, the adrenaline passing through his body started to disperse

He stood up seeing that the slin of the vampire started to dry up and cracks spreaded across its body

"Well done Jeremy. Lets go get a room for the night" John was relieved his nephew survived and managed to kill the vampire instead of hiding

"What about the body?" Jeremy asked

"It'll burn away when morning comes around, I'm way to tired to deal with it. Now are you coming or not"

"As long as it gets dealt with someway or another I don't care too much, i'm exhausted after all that" Jeremy got in the car

"It will feel easier to kill vampires everytime you do it just don't think of them as humans also I'll be teaching you some defensive moves and workouts so you don't run out of stamina throughout this month when we're not hunting vampires

The two of them drove away to a hotel nearby that John had booked beforehand
