Lord Daval Prestor's True Identity

The nobleman from the grand kingdom of Stormwind, Lord Daval Prestor, was not who he seemed to be.

Beneath his facade of wealth and power lay a more sinister identity - Deathwing the Destroyer.

This powerful being, also known as Neltharion the Earth-Warder, was one of the five Dragon Aspects and leader of the black dragonflight.

Ages ago, Neltharion had been bestowed with immense power by the Pantheon to rule over the earth and its depths.

But corruption and madness consumed him, turning him against his fellow Aspects during the War of the Ancients.

He renounced his title as Aspect of Earth and chose instead to be known as the Aspect of Death.

With this newfound role came fear and contempt from both mortals and dragons alike.

His presence was enough to strike terror in the hearts of all who knew him.

It is said that he even played an active role in the Second War, taking on the form of Lord Daval Prestor in order to infiltrate and destroy the Alliance from within.

As a human, Prestor's appearance was described as tall and slim with jet-black hair and a clean-shaven face.

He moved through society effortlessly, cunningly manipulating those around him without anyone suspecting a thing.

Only Arthas, with the knowledge of his past life and the System, are aware of this imposter's true identity and reminded himself to keep a vigilant eye on him.

He knew better than to underestimate Deathwing's schemes, for they could spell doom not just for himself but for his family and people as well.

Until he felt confident enough to protect them all on his own, he would remain cautious and calculating in his future interactions with the shrewd Lord Daval Prestor.

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lord Daval Prestor," Arthas says with a polite smile.

His words are met with a slight nod from the disguised Deathwing, his eyes gleaming with a hidden knowledge that sends a chill down the young prince's spine.

As Arthas studies the regal figure before him, he can't shake the feeling that this encounter is no mere coincidence.

He knows there is far more at play than meets the eye.

With a quick glance towards his father, King Terenas, who remains oblivious to the danger in their midst, Arthas realizes that he must act swiftly and discreetly.

Deciding to play along for the time being, Arthas maintains a façade of courtesy towards Lord Daval Prestor while his mind races with thoughts on what purpose Deathwing could possibly have in visiting his father.

"Forgive me, Your Majesty, but as someone who hails from Stormwind myself, I must respectfully disagree. The threats posed by these so-called 'creatures' are greatly exaggerated by rumors spread amongst the residents. There is no need for military reinforcements," Lord Daval Prestor states confidently.

As he speaks, Arthas can't help but wonder what ulterior motives may lie behind his smooth words.

As the court officials exchanged uncertain glances at Lord Prestor's bold statement, King Terenas regarded the disguised dragon with a thoughtful expression.

Arthas could sense the tension in the air, a silent battle of wills unfolding within the grand throne room.

"Lord Prestor, while I appreciate your insight, we cannot dismiss the threats faced by our allies in Stormwind so easily," King Terenas spoke with a measured tone, his gaze unwavering as he addressed the nobleman.

Arthas watched as Lord Daval Prestor's mask of congeniality slipped for just a moment, a flicker of annoyance crossing his features before he smoothed it away.

"I assure you, Your Majesty, I speak only from a desire to prevent unnecessary panic among the people. My sources have provided me with information that suggests these 'invaders' are nothing more than a minor nuisance that can be dealt with swiftly and efficiently by the local guard forces," Lord Daval Prestor replied smoothly, his tone laced with persuasive charm.

Arthas studied Deathwing carefully, noting the subtle tension in his stance and the calculating glint in his eyes.

It was clear that there was more to this noble visitor's agenda than met the eye, and Arthas knew he needed to proceed with caution.

"Your concern for our people's well-being is duly noted, Lord Prestor. However, I believe it would be wise to exercise prudence in such matters. The safety and security of our kingdom and allies are of paramount importance," King Terenas responded firmly, his voice resonating with authority.

Lord Daval Prestor's facade of composure wavered slightly at the king's words, a fleeting look of frustration passing over his features before he regained his mask of indifference.

"As you wish, Your Majesty. I will defer to your wisdom in this matter," Lord Daval Prestor replied smoothly, inclining his head in a gesture of acquiescence.

Arthas observed the exchange with growing unease, then as the court session came to an end, King Terenas rose from his throne, signaling the dismissal of his advisors and courtiers.

Arthas seized the opportunity to approach his father once more, a sense of urgency gripping his heart.

"Father, we need to talk. It's about Lord Daval Prestor," Arthas began, his voice low

and urgent as he conveyed his suspicions to King Terenas.

The king regarded his son with a mix of concern and interest, recognizing the gravity in Arthas's tone.

"What troubles you about Lord Prestor, Arthas?" King Terenas inquired, his voice betraying a hint of wariness.

Arthas's mind raced as he carefully chose his words, weighing the consequences of speaking out against Lord Prestor.

He needed to warn his father at least about Deathwing in disguise.

"Father," Arthas began, struggling to keep his voice steady, "I have a bad feeling about Lord Prestor. I believe he may not be who he appears to be."

King Terenas raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "What evidence do you have to support this claim, Arthas? Accusing someone without proper proof is a grave matter."

Arthas took a deep breath, steeling himself for what he was about to say.

"Please, father, promise me that you will keep a watchful eye on him. Do not provoke him or make any hasty decisions. Trust me, even though my behavior today may seem incredibly odd."
