Chapter 3 Seraphim House (1)

Cecilia was dressed in her finest clothes as she was sent away to House Seraphim first thing in the morning. She was nervous and she looked over to the castle then the carriage moved. For a second she thought she could see Clair glaring out the window.

'That girl needs a beating.' Clair sighed as she turned her attention to her other surroundings. 'How was the previous soul of this body, mother, was killed? If her mother was an outstanding warrior and a Seraphim. If house Ophelia can weight the same power as Seraphim meaning they are a stalemate. Talia must have something that can weakening the Seraphim powers.'

"Seraphim...Ophelia" Cecilia said blankly as she held the house's badge. As the carriage slowed down in front of a manor, Cecilia noticed that the property was almost a palace with a statue of a female warrior with wings guarding the entrance.

As she step off the carriage and approach the entrance. As the statue eyes glow it proceeded to block the door to the entrance of the house with its sword.

"Halt." A booming female voice calls to Cecilia. Cecilia looked up nervous at the statue.

"Who are you? I never seen or notice your presence before, you smell of Seraphim blood and of the ancestral blood of the Heavenly Emperor. You are domineering in power."

"I am Cecilia Luxio Aetos. Daughter of Empress Stellar Seraphim and Emperor Xander Aetos."

Cecilia answered the statue as it looked her in the eyes.

"You may continue on. But you must leave a drop of your blood with me so I may remember you, Princess of Seraphim Blood." The Statue stated gently as it put its sword away.

Cecilia prick her finger on a needle and leave the blood stains on the statue's hand.

"Will this do, gaurdian?"

"Yes."

As the gates open the statue remains back on gaurd. As Cecilia crossed into the gates and watched as no one was in the courtyard. The property seems empty but in reality there was family members.

She felt eyes watching her as she was on alert.

'Where is everyone?' Cecilia open the door and a sword almost meets her face.

"Who are you?" the voice demanded as he looked down at Cecilia menacingly.

"I-I am Cecilia Luxio Aetos the daughter of Stellar-"

"Stellar?" the voice sounded depressed and confused as the door open to reveal an man roughly in his late 50s but looked a tad older due to stress.

"You are my granddaughter? You are Cecilia my first Granddaughter...I sense the Seraphim blood from the front gates. I am Thalus Seraphim the head of the family."

Thalus looked at Cecilia with the most sorrowful and compassionate look of a grandfather. Have Thalus saw Stellar in his eyes?

"You look like Stellar from the hair to the hairstyling but you have his eyes. The eyes of domineering energy and to rule heaven." Thalus sucked his teeth but sighed with relief as he felt like he was hugging Stellar through Celine.

"Come in my child, we must talk I expected your arrival."

As Cecilia followed Thalus to a main hall where all the members of the family appeared from the shadows.

"Are these my relatives?" Cecilia looked around the relatives looked nice and loving. Knowing that they are trained to defend and be cruel on the battlefield for heaven's sake was strange.

"Yes, they are child. They also knew of your arrival they know you are the princess and they know you are Stellar's only child."

"Grandpa, I came to try my hand at the trail. Will you allow me to?"

"Yes, my dear, you are at the perfect age the elders will watch. You will compete with the other children of the house. First, you must train for seasons pass, your father have arranged for you to train for a while. He is safe in the castle if he is poisoned or killed house, Ophelia cannot afford. He also can't touch that house without an answer to the Supreme Emperor that he will succeed after. Just like how Stellar protect him its your duty to protect your father since your mother is gone then your future husband." Thalus pats Cecilia head and snap his fingers for a maid to bring tea and cookies.

"Chocolate fudge cookies and Blueberry tea?!" Cecilia eyes sparkled at the treat in front of her. She grabbed a cookie and took a sip of tea.

"Oh, you are her daughter. Stellar had a habit of mixing sweets with sour or bitter flavors. But anyways to achieve the power to finish your trail completely you must state your pledge to the Seraphim's ancestor, Seraphine."

Both Thalus and Cecilia walked to the sacred room of a hilt of a weapon pointing at the sky. It was omnipresent in the atmosphere of the room it was a relic.

"Is this Seraphine's sword? What is this weapon?" Cecilia questioned as she walked up to it.

"This was said to be the remaining hilt of Seraphine's sword when she fell to earth with an injuried wing her sword shattered. Her sword shatter to particles and was left with a hilt. An omnipresent God who assist her in her battle healed her and took her hilt. He could not replicates heaven's weapon. So he grabbed a ray of light and a piece of the crown from the emperor to give her weapons of any form to challenge her energy. Your weapon can be a whip, a Lance, a sword, bow and arrow..etc...or just your powers being amplified to use without a weapons but you have to be skilled and mastered."

"Seraphine, was also skilled at hand combat according to the legend but it took her 3 years of concentration and constant combat." Cecilia stated as she remembered the book she read at home that her father gave her the night before.

"Yes, it did took Seraphine 3 years. In those days she did not fair well because she was schemed against by the house of Opehlia's Ancestor. Even so she became the Emperor's favorite to the point he made her an adopted sister. She had many children who had her blood by chance of survival but only House Seraphim is a direct line of decendants. She married the Omnipresent God who saved her and had children of all specialty of war. Now my child concentrate and draw your weapon."

"Ok!" Cecilia wrapped her hands around the hilt and pulled the hilt slowly. Everyone anticipated. All the master weapon users lined the room.

"She will be a sword it fits the princess."

As the hilt was drawn out the length was more then a sword.

"A lance user she will be powerful."

Longer than a Lance it seems to everyone.

"A whip? I can see that."

"Longer than a whip, this is rare. She is that strong?!"

The hilt disappear and a boost of power spread in the room as angel wings and a crown incircle her head.

"Nonweapon user, the only non-weapon user is our grandfather and Stellar."

"Molten Heavenly is coating her hands and not a weapon. Just like Stellar when she pulled for her weapon."

"It is final, I'll teach Cecilia how to use her powers for hand and magic calculations combat." Thalus announced as he walked up to Cecilia who looked bewildered.

"You must come to the estate at night every three days and twice a week in one day. You must master this skill by 1 years time. Starting today."

"But Grandpa doesn't it take 3 years?" Cecilia looked shock as she looked down at her hands.

"Stellar learned it in a year I have high hopes for you, my dear."

As time went by in the day, Cecilia struggled but progressed into the night. As she spent the night using her powers from a distant and learning on her own after.

"First day is done my dear go home and rest. See you tomorrow" Thalus said as the sun rised leaving a tired Cecilia to collapse on the ground.

"To deactivate from your current state you can just think of your normal appearance. Sometimes your powers operate when your emotional or sense danger."

Cecilia closed her eyes and sighed as she felt the lightness fade and she felt heavier.

"Thank you, Grandpa. I should get going."

As Cecilia left the estate a shadowed figure was watching her from afar. The malicious energy leaked out to the point that Thalus can sense it.

"Cecilia, I hope one day of learning can keep you safe. May Seraphine posses you and keep you safe during combat."
