CHAPTER 7: Departure

'immortality can be a curse and a blessing, we've been blessed with it but I fear the curse might be at the door waiting to devour'.

phoenix stood at the top of the mansion as he gazed as the sun rose from the horizon setting it's light on the world.

"pity we can't change what's about to happen" James said as he walked out standing beside phoenix as he too gazed at the beautiful land that was covered in the morning sun.

"I fear what's predestined to happen will be the birth of a new horror" phoenix looked at James as he gave he gave a slight smile "I also sometimes fear you for your abundant information".

"oh come on we all know I'm just an ordinary Wayne ISH" James couldn't make an eye contact as he too knew he was one of the greatest Wayne's to exist.

"I admire your freedom and your decisiveness, but everyone has their own path and I hope our path doesn't lead to the abyss" phoenix eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the sky.

"I'm sure it's all gonna be alright, cause we also got a sign" James smirked

"yeah -..... David.....Wayne" phoenix smiled as he remembers when David released his powers

weapons colliding could be heard in a field as Eden and Elden swung their swords at jack forming a parallel arc light as both attacks were timed and decisive but were not enough to deal a damage.

clang!, both swords flew from the twins hands landing not far from they stood "good good you guys improved a lot" jack commented as both beamed with smiles on their faces making both look identically cute.

"okay I think it's time I teach you how to use your powers in actual combat and be in sync with your swords" jack smiled as he swinged his sword slightly creating a wind blade that went for miles after that he stomped his feet on the ground making an earthquake as a five meter gap appeared in the earth.

the looked into the hole as their mouth widen in amazement "I wanna do that too" Eden said "yeah me too" Elden spoke out too.

"well lucky for you both I'm here, the greatest teacher in the universe" jack smirked as he posed like a king.

"pfft greatest teacher my ass" Lin said as she walked into the field.

"aunt lin!" both rushed to hug as she had already spoilt them the other night with lots of sweet and cookies.

"awww look at my cute little Wayne's" she said as she gave a mocking smile to jack.

"oh the betrayal" pretending to be hurt as jack fell on the ground trying to get their attention, seeing none he tried going over and dragging them away from Lin but quit at the end as he gave a big sigh.

"why don't you train the boy and Lin trains the girl" James said as he ate a cookie while riding on a huge rhino walking in their midst.

"great idea great uncle"

"yes great idea great uncle"

both the twins jumped high in excitement as the feeling of competition filled the air

"ain't I the smartest" James smirked at the two who found the idea great.

jack carried Eden as he ran towards the end of the field "ahaha" he laughed like an evil scientist as he sprinted away.

James nodded while lin and Elden looked at jack dumbfoundedly.

"alrighty let's begin, I heard your elemental is water" Eden nodded as she hummed "well lucky for you I'm also a water elemental well I also control earth so lets begin" a ball of water suddenly appeared as it formed into a wide crescent shape.

eden eyes sparkled as she could only form tiny droplets "mhm I'm ready to learn big aunty"

James smiled as he rode the rhino away

a smiled filled Jacobs face as he and Carla watched what had happened from David's room "I wish David was awake so we could all go to the field" Carla said as she kept looking out the window.

"don't worry he's just asleep for a while he'll be awake soon" Jacob kissed her head as he hugged her closer.

Finally the day for the departure came as everyone assembled in the field.

"we are all leaving to do our duties not as heroes and not as villains but as Wayne's let's all bring glory to the Wayne's" phoenix gave a little speech as he was well dressed in a dark green robe with a silver line that spread acrossed it complimenting his white hair.

"great grand pa phoenix wait me and Eden have something to show everyone" Elden spoke out with full confidence as he dragged eden give a little distance.

Eden nodded as water droplets formed in the air joining together to form a two small daggers as sweat fell down her forehead which combined with the dagger before she finally fell as exhaustion was evident on her face.

marthar ran over as she carried Eden who suddenly went to sleep "wow she can already do that " jack commented at the side as he stared at her with a smile.

"of course she could she's my student after all " Lin said boisterously

everyone gazed at Elden who smiled as he punched the ground creating a small earth wall as he split it into two making a humanoid earth golem that suddenly fell apart.

Elden looked down as he looked disappointed "I'm sorry I couldn't make it last" he looked up seeing the shocking expression on their faces as he became confused.

"son how did you do that, who taught you" jack asked as he gulped while James smiled at the side.

"great uncle only told about the humanoid golem, so I decided to try it out" Elden explained quickly as he didn't know if what he did was wrong or good.

"you're really talented Elden be proud and keep up the good work" phoenix finally commented as he looked proudly at Elden while Jacob smiled nodding his head in approval.

jack hugged Elden and Martha who was with Eden as he kissed both of them and looked at Elden "your a man now take care of your mum and your sister" Elden nodded as he hugged his father.

Jacob kissed Carla "take care of our trouble maker" Carla nodded.

phoenix, jack, Jacob and Lin stood a few distance from the rest as they said their goodbyes shortly after three doors came forth as jack and Lin left first since their armies are together then Jacob, last was phoenix as he said to James "take of the rest" before he stepped into the door as the three disappeared.

lily looked at the empty space where the door was before as she muttered "come back safe" before she started chatting with the both marthar and Carla while they walked inside.

"it as begone" James muttered as he saw a glint of darkness far away as he dashed into the building
