CHAPTER 11:Will

'This felt like when I and Sarah went on a date after I finally retired it was peaceful and the environment gave me a serene feeling.

the love I had for Sarah was bounds as my only dream was been with her for the rest of my life until Sarah got shot in the head Ah now I remember the anger that turned me senseless and into a wild beast.

I cried but saw no tears, I yelled but nothing was heard it felt like I had lost my own soul as I dashed through the traffic getting hit by a car yes I remember now a black car that was when a man carrying a guitar case walked out.

I chased after him ignoring the people who rushed to my rescue, getting to him I gave a sharp punch was I missed or rather he dodged it making the cap fly high and seeing my best friends face made me feel all rounds of misery as I looked down feeling a warm liquid in my chest that was when it all went blank'

"David David wake up" opening his eyes to the voice of James as he gripped his chest his eyes widen as he stared at James in absolute terror "...." he couldn't feel his voice anymore.

"I guess you got a deep scar in your soul" James said as he pulled David into his embrace "I'm sorry but there was no other way to check,.... please forgive me" James tone was sad and apologetic as his faced showed utmost sincerity and his being gave out a comfortable and warm aura.

calming down as he looked at James then his hands as he understood what James did was for him to overcome his own fear.

"I'm alright great uncle don't worry about me let's do it again tomorrow" David said as he hardened his heart but it was visible that he was shaken.

James stared at David thinking he was going to hate him for life but now James didn't see a 5 year old but a grown adult who as seen life and gained experience, "I'm glad to hear that, we will begin when the morning arrives" James gave a simple smile as he showed great approval in his heart.

David nodded as he lay down on a brown blanket and fell deeply asleep.

"you really are unique, David Wayne" James patted David's head as he covered his body with another blanket.

David yawned as he woke up two hours to before the sunrise as he saw James standing on a edge looking at the distant forest that seemed to go forever.

"great uncle james" David called out as James looked towards him "I'm hungry" James smiled as he brought out a orange container in the shape of a square.

"let's see what we are having for breakfast" he turned the head revealing a steamed hot rice with sauce and grilled fish at the top "well let's have our last meal shall we".

David salivated as his nose got bathed in the steam making him rush out for a spoon about to dig in before his hand got slapped.

"I don't care if we are in the forest or not, always wash your hands" James said as he browl out a pouring some water into giving it to David.

David pouted as he washed his hand hurriedly and cleaning his hands with his clothe as he dugged into the flask shoving the rice into his mouth "ahhh food" he sighed as he rushed the food into his mouth.

James smiled at the side watching him devour the whole thing as the sun finally rose above the mountain shining it's light.

drinking some water as he stood up facing his great uncle james with great determination "great uncle james I'm ready" David showed fearlessness and resolve that was what it seemed like but deep inside he was afraid and heart wrenched about his former life.

"okay that's very courageous of you for someone your age, but.... if you don't want to do it we can go back home" James praised him but also gave him an option.

David shook his head "I'm here to train and to train I shall fulfill" he took his head high as he gave a boisterous smile.

James chuckled as he led the young boy to the end of the edge looking down below at the near mudd that seemed to be flowing downwards but wasn't "I'm gonna throw you now good luck".

"wait no just pu..." James threw David up in the air as started falling to the hard ground rather than the mud.

feeling his heart beating faster than an average athlete and as he suddenly gets dizzy about to lose consciousness again 'no I have to face this even if death calls Im willing to do my best, to be stronger and to be able to stand on my own and save papa'.

David bit his lips as blood flew in the air 'the will to live and the will to be stronger is what I need now, a strong will' his eyes opened as he stared at the ground fearlessly "I'm gonna live and be stronger".

feeling his body been pulled as he finds himself in his great uncles arms safe and unscathed David looks at his uncle with joy filling his eyes as he hugged him.

"I guess you made your breakthrough, pretty impressive for a 5 year old" James smirked as he put David down.

"heck yeah great uncle I overcame it" David bounced around in joy as he yelled.

'heck yeah? where did that come from' James shook his head thinking it was something kids made up " now gets some rest it's time for the hardest part of your training".

"mhm I'm ready great uncle" David smiled revealing his whitish teeth.

"yeah that reminds me, from now on call me uncle james...great uncle seems a bit strange"

David nodded "yes uncle james" he looked at James as his body shook making him fall on his but the thrill was still visible on his face.

"read this and keep it with you at all times no matter what" James gave a scroll displaying beast sketches and their class, each one indicating the weakest to the most dangerous.

the weakest rating from the bronze class are just the normal wild animals rating from

F-D

and the silver class are beasts rated from

C-B

the gold class are higher grade beasts able to destroy half a town

A

the diamond class are low dark creatures also called legions able to destroy an entire town in a few hours and always go in groups

the sapphire class are dark creatures, darx or the original rippers as they consist of werewolves, vampires, the headless horseman, sirens and wendigos

the platinum class are demi demons or demi gods with the power to wipe out an entire world though they conceal themselves from mortal activities

David memorised it all as he became fascinated but scared at the same time,

James gave him another scroll that shined blue he opened it seeing a well sketched map of the forest "uncle james why are you giving this to me".

"forgive me but you will have to journey through this thick forest alone" James looked down as he saw it impossible for a 5 year old as even an experienced human hunter won't make it to the other side.

David raised his fist to his chest as he yelled "I promise to bring glory to the Wayne's" .

James looked at him dumbfoundedly as he smiled at his courage, though he seemed brave but ignorance is not bliss in this world.

"uncle james when I was falling how did you catch me without a rope" David finally asked a question that had been kept for later.

"telekinesis, you might not have the affinity for it now as you will have to train your elemental skill first" James explained.

"mhm" David hummed as he looked at the map trying to get a good look at the the millennial forest as he looked back at his uncle seeing an empty space.

"mhm I'll do my best uncle james" David glared at the millennial forest with full determination
