Ciaran Vs. Ma'grin (2)

(A/N)

This fight will be done in the 3rd person, and it will be from a general POV. That means I'm not going to go into the fighter's inner thoughts, just what we can observe. Let me know what you think of the fight, as it will be my first time writing an actual fight scene. Thank you!

-----------------------------------------------------

"Saving your fellow humans, how considerate." Ma'grin said as he slowly clapped his hand

"I don't want them to see what's about to happen." Ciaran said as he unleashed his triumph card.

Suddenly the pressure emanating from Ciaran nearly doubled, and for a moment, Ma'grin felt a chill run down his spine. Watching the shadows consuming Ciaran, he was unsure of what was about to happen, and when the shadows disappeared along with Ciaran, he instantly became alert.

"Ready or not." Came the wispy voice, as Ciaran appeared right Infront of him and slashed.

Caught off guard, Ma'grin barely had enough time to block the slash before Ciaran disappeared again. Ma'grin was able to catch a glimpse of him, and what he saw gave him pause.

Gone was the human before him. Now he looked like a Shadow demon. A being made of pure shadows that only had a form when it chose to attack.

"You contracted with a demon already?" Ma'grin yelled into the emptiness. "Then why are we fighting?" he asked.

"You hurt Liz." Came Ciaran's whisper as he appeared to his right side and without hesitation, stabbed him.

"Gah!" Ma'grin grunted as he jumped back, nearly avoiding another strike from Ciaran.

The fight lasted a few minutes as Ma'grin was slowly being pushed back due to Ciaran's hit-and-run tactics. Ma'grin was stronger than Ciaran, but that strength meant nothing if he couldn't hit him. Being sent across the field, covered in wounds.

"Impressive, little human." Ma'grin said as he lifted himself off the ground. "But how long can you keep this up?" He asked as he grinned

"Long enough." The voice near his left ear came, and he quickly reacted and slashed to his left, only to hit thin air.

Suddenly the hairs on Ma'grin's neck stood up, and he barely reacted in time to the blade that was aimed at his throat and redirected it towards his shoulder, where it dug in.

Grabbing the sword, Ma'grin grinned as he lashed out with his fist and connected with Ciaran's midsection, causing him to go flying.

"Nice try, little human." He said as he chuckled and walked toward him and pulled the sword out of his shoulder.

Ciaran, whose spell was dispelled, coughed up copious amounts of blood and struggled to get up off his knees but failed.

Ma'grin walked up to him and looked down upon him for a few moments before taking a knee.

"Listen, human." He began, "You're strong, and I don't want to kill you." He paused as he looked at the barely conscious Ciaran. "Sign a contract with me, and I will make you stronger." He said hopefully

Ciaran slowly looked up at him and, for a moment. Before slowly raising his hand and pointing it at Ma'grin, and suddenly smiled.

Ma'grin suddenly felt a magic attack approaching him, and as he prepared to move out of the way, he suddenly found himself unable to move.

"Shadow lock." Ciaran mumbled as he jumped out of the way.

"Damn you!" Ma'grin yelled as a giant ice spear pierced him.

Suddenly a beautiful woman with blue hair appeared before Ciaran.

"Thanks." He said as he unsteadily stood up.

"You were taking too long." She responded over her shoulder as she stared at the frozen demon.

Not even a moment later, the demon broke out of his frozen prison and roared angrily.

"You bitch!" Ma'grin yelled in anger. "I'm going to enjoy breaking you." He snarled as he stepped forward. Black blood poured from the large wound in his chest.

"Are you still good to fight?" She asked as she looked over at Ciaran, who was beyond battered and blood covering his face.

"Of course." Before letting a cruel grin slip from his face, he said, "Round two is just now beginning."
