(Cas's POV)

"Consider it a different world." He cryptically said as he stepped forward

She froze at what he was implying.

If what he was saying was true, that this was another world. Then that would mean that while in this world, he was not a lord, and she was not an aide.

Taking a step back, she needed to think as something deep within he was screaming at her not to cross that line.

Seeing that she took a step back, he stopped and looked at her with complicated eyes.

"Cas." He began, "I want you to know that I will always love you no matter what. Nothing will ever stop me from loving you. The past three years I spent without were the hardest, and I never want to go through that again." He finished looking at her

So many thoughts were running through her mind, and she was unsure what to do. Something deep within her was screaming at her to avoid what was about to happen, but something else deep within her was whispering, telling her to move forward, and accept what was to come.

Unsure of what to do, she was frozen by the unknown.

"Cas, do you know why I want to become an adventurer?" He suddenly asked

"To avoid your demise at the hands of Leonard Whiteguard." She automatically replied, lost in thought.

"True, but there is also another reason." He paused to let it sink in

Another reason, she wondered, looking at him for a moment before realization dawned on her.

"You don't mean…." She faltered as she saw him nod

"Yes, while others may call me stupid or an idiot for my so-called grand plan, I don't care. All I care about is you, and if that means becoming an adventurer to lose the status of nobility, so I can be with you. Then so be it." He finished showing a soft smile.

This news shook her to the core. He was willing to throw away his nobility so they could be together. While she was beyond moved by what he said, she knew it was the wrong answer. The screaming within her was getting louder, telling her to back away. But the whispering within her was also becoming more prominent, telling her to embrace him.

Suddenly a memory? A vision? It flooded her mind, and what she saw crushed her, and forever changed the future. For better or worse? Only time will tell.

-----------------------------------------------------------

(Vision? Memory?)

In a fortified city that was deserted except for three figures fighting side by side against an endless wave of mutated creatures.

"There's too many of them!" A beautiful woman with purple eyes said

"Of course, there is. This is the final boss battle, after all!" The man said as, with a simple flick of his wrist, thousands of creatures were cut down.

"This isn't a game Ci!" The woman with purple eyes said as she summoned a tree spirit to fight on her behalf

"It's always a game!" Ci said as he laughed hysterically, "All this XP coming to me is a blessing. I must thank the All-Father when he shows up."

The third figure stayed quiet as she summoned tornados that decimated millions of creatures.

The fighting lasted for almost three whole days before the endless tide of creatures thinned down, allowing the trio a moment a breather.

Summoning an abode made of wood, the purple-eyed woman beckoned the other two to come inside and rest.

"So." The purple-eyed woman began as she started taking off her gear. "How long do you think it will take before the All-Father shows up?" She asked

"About a week, if I'm not mistaken." Ci said, preparing dinner for the trio

"Cas." The purple-eyed woman said, shaking her." What's wrong?" She asked with a concerned look on her face. "You haven't been yourself since the fighting started."

"Sorry." She heard herself say.

Since this started, Cas had been a passenger within the body she was possessing, and only now did she realize that it was herself. While residing in 'her' body, she could feel the emotions of her other self; she felt longing and despair every time she looked at Ci.

Many questions were in her mind. Who was this All-Father? Who were these creatures? But the main question was, what happened to CI? Every time she looked at him, it looked as though he was broken, and every time they made eye contact, the feelings within her would intensify. The guilt with her would grow.

What happened between us? She wondered.
