Itachi intended to leave alone Gato for a while. He wanted his brother and his team to experience some killing first. It is going to be Sasuke's first kill. It is better, if it happens in a controlled environment. And besides fighting non shinobi goons was safer than engaging in a life and death fight against a genin. Although from the current level of Sasuke, Itachi believed that he won't face any problem facing against hidden leaf genins.

Better be safe than sorry.

In his final touch he took control of two of the strongest goons with his sharingan.

His self invented puppet genjutsu might not affect stronger opponents but in these kind of situation it was pretty handy.

(AN: Itachi the god of genjutsu has created another genjutsu that let him control other persons like a puppet. That means he can control their body however he wants. It won't work on elite Jonin level opponents but, it will work on everyone below that level.)

"It seems that we will have to fight today. But you are lucky that our opponents will be civilian goons. I want you three to have your first kill today. If you get overwhelmed, then I will intervine immediately." Kakashi said lazily.

"At first I will guard Tazuna and the other builders and you three will take the charge of counter attack. If you felt overwhelmed or one of you got injured, then I will join the fight. Sakura you will retreat and treat the wounded one. Do you understand ?"

Kakashi said the plan.

""Yes sensei.""

"Yes"

The shinobi were not wounded or tired. So Gato decided to stay behind for the time being. He knew that shinobi do wierd stuff all the time. So he didn't trust that those civilians will keep him safe. He has declared a large amount of money as reward to the one, who will kill Tazuna or any one of the shinobi.

And now all of the goons were heading towards the bridge.

No words were exchanged between the goons and the Konoha shinobi at first. But I knew the thrash talk will start soon if the fight doesn't start immediately. From the looks, on their faces it was clear that they were over confident in their victory due to there superior numbers.

But none of them knew how wrong they were. In this world quantity doesn't matter. In the Anime how Madara tore through the numbers of shinobi alliance still sends shiver down my spine when I think about it happening in real life.

Bhoot Naruto and Sasuke were ready to attack. So I threw a kunai knife enhanced with Chakra towards the crowd of upcoming goons.

I wanted to get rid of any backlash from my first kill early on. Because I didn't think that I would get any time afterwards when the real fight begin. Naruto could spam thousands of shadow clones. And if he really did at then the advantage of numbers will be ours. And by that time I might not be able to participate in the fight. Not to mention it would be very chaotic.

My kunai pierced through skull of the first goon and continued on it's way towards the other goons. Because it was enhanced with chakra vidmate a little resistance while piercing through human body. Not to mention I have also used chakra augmentation while throwing it. When seven goons, one behind the other suddenly fell down dead, the others stopped their marching.

Even though they were far away I could see the dead bodies very clearly. The fact that I have just taken their life hit me hard. One of them has died with his eyes open. And his dead eyes made me sick. I have seen blood. I had severed the arm of one of the demon brothers. I had killed other animals. But this feeling was nothing like that. The sight of dead body revolted me. And knowing I was the one who did it was also sickening. For a moment I lost the control over my Chakra. But then I quickly managed to take back the control. I calmed myself down.

'The only truth in this world is kill or be killed !'

I recited in my head and calmed myself down.

It took me longer than I expected. But thankfully no one had moved from their spot. I glanced at Sasuke and Naruto. Sasuke was taking it more calmly than I imagined. While Naruto looked disgusted by the sight. But he was faring better than me.

It was the day when I finally realised that taking someone's life isn't easy at all.
