Armia watched as Isabella raised a perfectly sculpted brow, her emerald eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"A party?" She leaned back in her chair and crossing those long, slender legs. Smirking up at Armia, she put her head on her hand. "And here I thought you only liked having me around when you could throw fireballs at me."
Armia huffed.
"Don't flatter yourself. It's not like I'm asking you out on a date or anything."
"Aren't you?" Isabella teased, a mischievous grin tugging on those plump, glossy lips. "Inviting me to a fancy party... One Melisa won't even be around for... People might start to talk, you know?"
Rolling her golden eyes, Armia sighed.
"Look, it's not like that, okay? General Neal proposed to me, and he's invited me to this party to give me a taste of the high life or whatever. I just... I need someone to go with, and I thought you were the woman for the job."
