Christopher left the room to grab Leo's new gun.
Leo was wondering what Christopher would have in store for him since he didn't suggest that Leo would get to choose this time.
After a while, Christopher returned with a black weapon case and a box of ammo.
Christopher opened the weapon case and Leo instantly recognized the gun.
"This is... a Heckler and Koch MP5, right?"
"Yes and no, to be exact this is the MP5SD. It is integrally suppressed, meaning that the suppressor is built into the rifle barrel. This weapon does not require any attachments but I added in a reflex sight for you for comfort. Now let's move on to the ammo."
Christopher moved the box of ammo in front of Leo.
"Please, inspect a bullet." said Christopher.
Leo picked up a bullet and took a closer look.
He didn't really notice anything different and handed it back to Christopher.
"This is a subsonic round, you know all too well that there is a loud crackle when you fire a gun, and that mostly is because the bullets travel faster than sound for a while, resulting in a sonic boom.
These rounds will slow down your bullet velocity, but you mostly play an assassin-like role here, so that isn't that important.
These bullets will significantly reduce the noise your gun makes, at this point the loudest thing in your gun would be the bolt and the spring. However, your gun is not completely silent, don't forget that."
Leo understood the impact that removing the sonic boom would have, he would not be able to take out long range targets and lethality was also slightly reduced, but the penetration power of an MP5 was formidable, there was a reason why it was used in a lot of armies and spec ops.
However, he had one major complaint.
"What about the size of the gun? I need to be able to conceal it."
A smirk appeared on Christopher's face as he picked up the MP5.
"I modified it and added an extendable stock to it, this way you can conceal it similarly to your MAC-10, it is only slightly bigger and way more reliable."
Leo nodded, he was quite content with this weapon.
"Can I run the gun for a test in the shooting range?" questioned Leo.
"Yes, but I will only allow one magazine, subsonic ammo is quite expensive." said Christopher.
Leo obliged and Christopher brought him to the shooting range.
He put the magazine in the gun and turned the safety off before cocking back the bolt.
Leo shot his first ten bullets in the semi automatic mode before switching over to full auto for the last twenty bullets.
The recoil was very manageable and mostly backward against the shoulder, resulting in borderline laserbeam precision.
Leo cleared his gun and ensured no bullets were chambered before switching it to safety.
"I will take this gun Christopher, this is pretty much perfect. It isn't too loud, even more quiet than my MAC-10, you have really outdone yourself.
Christopher had a proud expression on his face before handing Leo the weapon case.
"I added five magazines so you should have enough, if you run out of bullets report to me. all five magazines are loaded and you should be able to reload your magazine with the bullets I provided for now."
Leo nodded and took the case before leaving the shooting range.
This time he chose to go back to the dormitory.
He was happy with his new gun, it was way better than the MAC-10.
To start with the MAC-10 was quite inaccurate, not to mention the recoil of it.
When Leo entered the dormitory he saw two heavily armored guards talking with Alex.
"I told you I have no idea where he is!" said Alex in a desperate tone to the guards.
Alex's eyes locked with Leo as he entered the dormitory.
Leo completely ignored the two armored guards and walked to his bed, storing away his gun.
The guards did not flinch at all upon seeing Leo ignore them and walked up to him.
"Special agent Nightmare, you have been summoned to report in to Miss Dark."
