Heli ride over the ocean
Leo ended up waking up late, he assumed that it was because of all the stress of yesterday.
When he checked his flip phone he found out that it was already 9:00 AM.
Emilia was no longer in the bed and had gotten up earlier than Leo.
Leo got up and stretched his body a bit before dressing in some civilian clothes.
When he left his room he saw Emilia sitting on the couch, when she saw Leo her face flushed red.
Leo acted like nothing happened and sat down next to her, watching the news.
Even though he didn't understand shit about it since it was Polish, he got a general grasp from the pictures and video footage.
"Emilia, I will be departing today at 11:00 AM, Noah will be dropping me off near HQ but out of sight."
Emilia looked at Leo with confused eyes.
"Already? Aren't you supposed to stay a bit longer?"
"Originally yes, but since stuff went south with the client we will be departing earlier."
"Should I tag along with you?"
"Absolutely not, too suspicious."
Emilia was saddened a bit by Leo's sudden refusal but understood that he was only being reasonable and careful.
"Remember to stick completely to the cover story since both of us will most likely be interrogated."
Emilia nodded with a serious expression, if they found out that she was lying she would probably be tortured before being executed.
Time slowly crept closer to 11:00 AM.
At 10:50 AM Leo went to Noah's room.
Noah had already packed all of his cases and was waiting for Leo.
"Looks like you have arrived, originally I planned on putting you on that speedboat again but since you managed to get Alyona back for me I will throw in a bonus reward for you, you can travel with me in my helicopter, one is available."
Leo nodded and Noah ordered his guards to carry their luggage.
Leo got in a car with Noah and they quickly drove off.
"Leo, I need to talk to you about something," said Noah with a serious expression on his face.
"What is it?"
"You know how you have to complete a special mission for a client every month now that you are a special agent, right?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"I bid on your services again after our meeting with Carissa, I realized that you aren't only good for assassination but also for protection."
"I am, what about it?"
"a short while after I placed my bid someone else started bidding, your current offer is thirteen million, and that offer is not from me but the other guy."
Leo got startled for a bit but quickly calmed down.
"You placed a positive review right? It was to be expected."
"Usually, yes. But something is off."
"What is it?"
"I've never heard of this client before, he is relatively new and only has ordered one service before, it was for a bodyguard mission."
"How do you even know that? Isn't that information supposed to be classified?"
"When you have money you find a way, to say the least."
"So, what are you trying to say Noah? It's not like I can refuse the mission.
"I know, just informing you as your ally."
Leo nodded and thought about it for a while before launching another question at Noah.
"Wouldn't MC&D at least conduct a background check on that person?"
"Yeah, they would. It probably is just fine, for now I'm just warning you."
Shortly after their conversation they arrived at a commercial helicopter.
Noah beckoned Leo to get in and strap himself in the heli, so Leo did so.
The helicopter shortly took off and Leo thought about his time as a scientist.
"Hey, Noah. Quick question."
"What is it lad?"
"Do you know that there is a SCP site located under the rocky mountains?"
Noah eyed Leo suspiciously.
"I do, but how do you know that?"
Leo responded with a chuckle.
"Let's just say that I also have my connections here and there."
"Either way, that site is no good, too heavily armed to do anything there." followed Noah up.
Leo nodded and decided to enjoy the helicopter ride over the ocean.
