Chapter 698: Save it for Tonight

She caught him staring at her again and asked, "What's wrong?"

"N-nothing. I was just wondering if you liked the food," Ferdinand quickly said but it was easy to tell he lied.

His words made the chefs tense though, worried that they may have made a mistake and he did not like how the food tasted today which was why he was asking Arabella whether she liked it or not.

"Oh, yes. I like it. It's delectable as usual. Is there something in it that you do not like?" Arabella wondered if Ferdinand indeed had something he might not like much in the food.

"No, it's good. I like it too," Ferdinand responded and the chefs sighed in relief. He continued eating and he did not seem like he had any problems with the food.

'Then what's wrong?'

Arabella wanted to ask verbally but it might make their personnel tense again so she simply continued eating and listened to her husband's thoughts.
