8 Snap Back to Reality

I started to walk out of the cave when I felt killing intent. I start to back up and see a single man clad in pure white armor with a golden cross running through the middle of his armor.

He unsheathes his pure white sword and points it at me.

(Leo) - "After 5 long years of hunting, I found you, you little bastard!"

He rushes at me and even though he looks to be a pure man on the outside. He had the darkest look that is looking right through my soul and the most horrifying smile I have ever seen in my life. Even though I have been 'alive' for 28 years, I have never been more frightened in my life.

I stand still as I do not know what to do. This man is fully blood-lusted and I believe that he wants to kill me for fun rather than me being a threat.

Damn, even though I fell thousands of feet off of a mountain, it was hard to move due to his aura.

Oh man, some of his stats are at least in the 5 digit category... I don't stand a chance against him with the way I am now. This man is the person they probably sent after me when I took out those A ranks. This man is on a whole other level.

(Leo) - "You know it is very rude to look at someone's status without their consent!"

(Parthenia) - "Alderam!"

I snap back to reality and look in front of me to see Parthenia with a bright sword running through her wing. The sword moves up to make a pure cut through her left wing.

No... Stop... Stop it!!

I run towards Leo, but am interrupted by a tail smashing into me making me fly backwards.

(Parthenia) - "You need to go now! I will be fine against this puny mortal. I wasn't your mother's right-hand woman for nothing!"

Tears start to come out like a waterfall and I use the skill [Darkness Breath](A) to smash through the top of the cave as I start to fly away.

(Leo) - "Oh no, you don't! I won't let you get away!"

He then creates a light spear out of magic and hurls it like a javelin as it pierces through my side, right next to my heart.

(Leo) - "Damnit, I missed. Don't worry, I will kill this bastard if its the last thing I'll do."

(Parthenia) - For that, thy will suffer from the heavens all the way to the hells. For thy swings like a little BITCH!

I leave as they continue their battle over me.

What was all of my training for if I can't even help the only person who hasn't tried to kill me since coming to this world? She is the only person I care about and the only person I could truly call mother. My mother in my previous life abandoned me after she gave birth to me.

I was almost going to use [End of Creation](SSS), but I would have hurt Parthenia in the process and who knows if it would have actually worked on that holy knight. He is superior to me in every way. His main form of magic is light and I have a weakness to light at (A) rank.

No matter which world you are in, humans are pure trash. They only want to make themselves better than everyone else. I know that more than anyone.

Damn, I have a hole straight through me, it hurts like a bitch.

I check my health and realize that it is down to 2600/9500.

And that was with a single spear that guy threw at me. He really is my worst match. To be honest with you, I don't even believe that someone as strong as Parthenia can kill him. I saw his title of [God Slayer] so I wonder if he is the one who helped take down my mother who was also a darkness dragon.

God damn it all, I am about to pass out from that. I slowly descend as I spot another cave.

I crash land into the cave as I pass out. My body, all broken...

Timeskip 2 days in the Kingdom of Dawn

(King Percy) - "So Leo, how did the fight end as I presume that the darkness dragon has been slain."

(Holy Knight Leo) - "I nailed him next to his heart and he should be dead from the shot. The only being that could tank a hit from those blasts, was the world eater herself."

(Percy) - "Oh my god, did the darkness dragon take your arm!?"

(Leo) - "No, I fought an ancient dragon, but I lost an arm in the process. I can probably get it healed somewhere, but I need to find someone who has [Heal] at rank (S). That is the only way one can regenerate full body parts."

(Percy) - "We will give you half of the discussed amount for now. Once the dragon is confirmed dead, then we will pay you the re--."

Leo grabs king Percy by the throat.

(Leo) - "Do you have any idea what this fucking dragon did to me? It is going to cost me a fortune to get my arm back. You will give me 75 now and full payment for my treatment! You know what happens if you don't listen to my demands, yes?"

Leo lets go of king Percy and he falls on the ground coughing repeatedly.

(Percy) - "I wonder if that 'Holy knight' is all talk because you act more like a damn demon than a human! Fine, your demands will be met."

(Leo) - "I appreciate the business, but do not piss me off. Something might mysteriously happen to the king if you make me more upset."

Back to Alderam POV

I slowly awake in this cave and stand up slowly, for my chest still hurts like hell. I check my status to see if anything has changed.

At least I am not dead, but... but... but... Parthenia...

God, I know that you gave me all of this for me to enjoy, but please don't let her die on me. I don't want any more people to get hurt because of me.

I will get stronger, and then I will kick the shit out of him. When we next meet, he will be the one trembling in fear. With the new power that was given to me by Parthenia, I will get stronger to then be able to get a life to enjoy and protect the people that I love.

Adventurers Guild, Leo walks in

The whole guild goes silent as they see the Holy Knight Leo, but with a torn-off arm.

(Peoples thoughts) - [What the hell happened to him?] [How did he lose his arm?] [What being did this to him?]

Someone stands up and starts talking...

(Jean) - "It was probably that dragon, wasn't it? That thing was too much for you as well!"

(Leo) - "Oh, if it isn't the A rank weakling who pissed his pants over a small dragon. It wasn't that little shit that gave me issues. I had fought an ancient dragon. It protected the darkness dragon as I shot it out of the sky when it tried to make his escape. I ended up losing my arm in the process."

He gave Jean a smug look as Jean slowly sits down regretting what he just said.

Leo then walked up the stairs to the guild master where he received his current payment for his quest. He walked out of the guild letting out his full aura, knocking out everyone there including the guild master.

A claw twitches in the Demon Mountain...
