The servants of "Light"

=========THIRD PERSON'S POV========

The ruler of the Holy Light Kingdom is Pope Sophia Dia Light. "Light" is a surname that only a chosen one can have. Bearer of the surname Light comes with some important responsibility. Only a true believer can have this surname. Light is a surname which is given by the Light Goddess Sherry Nova herself. So, a Light surname bearer is the only true person who have seen Sherry Nova in this Nexus World.

Pope Sophia Dia Light is considered as the most powerful and popular Pope in the history. She has already served 200 years as a Pope. Even though she looks like she is in her late twenties, she is already one of the most powerful people in this world. People says she is already in the Viscount level. So, you can normally say that she lived a long life.

Her beauty, kindness and courageous truly fits as a ruler.

Pope Sophia sit in the throne and after that everyone sit on their own seat.

"Sophia-sama, D-did something happened?" An old cardinal asked timidly.

"Yeah, something major has happened. That's why I gathered you guys." Sophia said dignified.

"W-what happened, Sophia-sama?" a lady Cardinal asked.

"I have just received words from our Goddess. It seems my duty is finally finished as the head of this country." Pope Sophia said with a straight face.

Hearing her words, the atmosphere became tense.

"Don't tell me, you are going to ascend to the Upper world?" Another Cardinal asked.

Yeah, in the throughout the history there were several Pope who bear the name of Light. They were head of the religion and all of them were immortal. But after few hundred year serving as the head of the religion, most of them ascended to the Upper world(Octagon). After that, a new Pope has been chosen by the Light Goddess to serve as the head of the religion.

It has been repeatedly happening from the time when the religion was discovered.

"Does that means, someone will become the new head? It's gonna be a great pain to find that person. It's almost random. Or rather, I wish someone from us were selected." A Cardinal said.

"We have to arrange a big festival. Sophia-sama's send off should be grand. I will do my best. Please live a happy life there." A young cardinal said.

"You guys are thinking too fast. I am not ascending to another world. I will still serve the role as a Pope. It's just there will be someone upper position than me." The Pope Sophia said.

"What does that means? How can someone get into a position upper than a Pope? Wait, will a previous Pope descend? If so, we have to make an major preparation." the old Cardinal said with an excited look.

Hearing that Pope sighed and said,

"Have you guys forgotten the prophecy? In the chapter 10 in the holy book, it's said that there will be a final Goddess who will appear in the end of the time. She will brought peace to this land and after that our world will fuse with the Upper world."

Hearing that everyone shocked.

"Don't tell me..." a cardinal said while astonishing.

"Yeah, Light Goddess-sama said that the last Goddess has appeared in this land of EKOX. We have to find her hurry, no matter what. According to Light Goddess-sama, she is a bit weak. But she does carry the Goddess aura. She is now hiding among the humans. So, she must be using her human form." Pope Sophia said with a serious face.

Hearing that everyone began to enjoy.

"To think I would be able to see a Goddess with my own eyes. I am glad being able to be alive. This old man will definitely do his best to see our Goddess." The Old Cardinal said with his eyes filled with tears.

"I am glad that I am alive." Saying that the female cardinal started to cry.

"Goddess-sama. Goddess-sama. Goddess-sama." Another cardinal started to repeat those words like a broken machine.

"Stop, you guys. Don't forget that Goddess-sama is weak right now. So, we have to find her and give her total protection. We have some bad persons lurking in the shadows. It's a secret. Those evils will definitely try to kill her if they learn about her existence. That's why our mission is to find her before them. That's why I gathered everyone here." Pope Sophia said.

"We will do our best to find her." a cardinal said.

"From where we should began our searching?" Another cardinal asked.

"We should keep an eye on politics of this region. If my prediction is not wrong, she will definitely change a major thing in this EKOX CONTINENT. I am sure she won't be able to watch people suffering. So, keep an eye on the countries with tyranny ruler." Pope Sophia said.

"As you wish." All of them agreed in unison.

"Okay, then let's talk about our strategy in finding her and other stuff." Pope Sophia said with a serious look.

"Yes." everyone agreed.

After that they had a long meeting. Everyone was cheerful and serious about finding Serene.

That's how Serene got some trusted followers before she could even meet. That's how Serene got into a position even she doesn't know how she ended up there.

But in the Samatot City, the atmosphere was silent. Totally silent. It's was just like an atmosphere before a storm.

Yeah, a storm will coming which will definitely change the order of this EKOX CONTINENT.
