Reborn as a Cursed Spirit

Hajime Inei, a writer as well as a coward, had been reborn into the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. There was just one problem, he was now a cursed spirit. Determined to stay alive, he shuts himself in his domain, passing the time by reading manga and watching anime. Unfortunately, that didn't go as expected. ------- Also, if you haven't watched the Jujutsu Kaisen anime or manga, I suggest you do so. After the School Festival arc it will go in a different direction, so anime watchers don't have to be too worried about getting spoiled. ------- Cover is not mine. All rights go the original owner. Change of Plans

"Kekeke"

In a dimly lit room, a shadowy figure was giggling maniacally. In front of the figure, a crystalline tricycle could be seen.

After a moment of silent praying, the shadowy figure hopped onto the tricycle and started riding it in circles.

"HAHAHA! It works! VROOOOOOOMMMM VRRRRROOOOOOMMMM" The figure was now cackling with laughter as his mouth started mimicking the sound of an extremely fast vehicle.

"SHUT UP, INEI! I NEED TO GET MY BEAUTY SLEEP!" From behind the wall, Nobara's voice could be heard, a lingering threat mixed within.

Immediately, the figure visibly flinched before sighing and taking the tricycle outside.

Soon, Inei was riding his tricycle through a park at around 50 mph, cruising speed for him.

If any normal person were to see this, they would look past it, think about something, look again, and realize that no one was on the tricycle. Then, they would run away, come across a wandering llama who claimed that they were cursed, get scammed into buying fake talismans, and convert to Buddhism.

After he had assimilated Mahito, he found that his Spades had gotten much easier to control and were able to create exceedingly complex objects, like the tricycle he was currently riding.

Of course, if one assumed that the tricycle was just a regular old tricycle, they would be mistaken. Firstly, it was extremely hard. Secondly, it had boosters on the back as well as smoke bombs.

And lastly, it could turn invisible. Although it couldn't turn the rider invisible, it would distract other people. After all, who could keep a straight face when someone is coming at you like Crazy Frog.

Oh yeah, it could also teleport the rider through shadows.

It had been about a couple of weeks since the fight with Mahito, and the Goodwill Festival was next month. Although he had trained a lot this month, he wasn't as productive as he was before. The reason for this was because he was wondering what to do about the break in.

Going by his previous plans, he was planning on stopping Mahito from robbing Jujutsu Tech of the prison realm, the cursed wombs, etc. If he wanted to, he could easily bring Gojou to their hideout to wipe out Geto Suguru, Uraume, Mahito, Hanami, Jogo, and Dagon. Although some of them would be able to escape, it would be a successful operation overall.

Of course, he had made that plan when he was weak.

His power had increased dramatically and with it, his thirst for more.

"My knowledge of the plot will become obsolete in a few months anyways, so I should make the most of it while I can. After the Goodwill Event Arc is the Death Painting Arc then the Shibuya Incident Arc. If I want to make the most of my future plans, I should wait until the Shibuya Incident before making any moves. This way, the main characters will continue to grow and I'll be able to carry out my plans. Hmm... I should be able to convince Gojou to follow me, for now at least."

Inei nodded as he looked up at the moon, shining brightly in the sky.

"I feel like I'm forgetting something. Oh yeah! There is a new TV show starring Takada-chan!"

Thinking of this, Inei hopped back onto his tricycle before zooming back home.

...

"My secondo besto friendo!"

A large muscular man strutted into Inei's room, wearing a white shirt and a black school blazer.

"Yo, Toudou."

After muttering a greeting, Inei turned full attention on the TV. Toudou's eyes lit up as he saw what Inei was watching.

"TAKADA-CHAN!!"

A sharp needle pierced through the wall, shooting towards Toudou, who merely smacked it away.

"SHUT UP YOU SH*TTY OTAKU!!"

Nobara yelled from the other room. Toudou's exclamation had made her flinch, causing her to mess up her makeup.

"Tch. Women".

"Agreed".

"Do you have any drinks and snacks?"

"Sparkling apple cider and beef jerky".

"You really are my secondo besto friendo!"

"I'm not giving you any".

"I'll bring my limited edition merch, signed by Takada-chan herself!"

"I'll give you half"

...

Satoru Gojou was currently relaxing in a nice hot spring. All the fatigue that had been accumulating had faded, the tension in his body leaving.

While leaning against the wooden sides of the bath, Gojou started to think about the proposition brought forward by Inei.

It had been a week since the special-grade cursed spirits had broken into the School Festival and had robbed the storage facility. It was far too collaborated an attempt for this to be a singular party.

Although Gojou was THE strongest jujustu sorcerer in the world, he was not omniscient. He could kill them easily, but he could not find them. They were like rats that jumped out to bite you before scurrying away. The only way to catch them was with a cat. A cat that had been offered to Gojou by Inei.

Inei had told him that he knew where the group resided and what their group was. And he would give up the information... in exchange for Gojou's full cooperation in his plans.

Although Gojou has a fair bit of trust in Inei, he still didn't fully trust him. After all, however friednly Inei is, he is still a cursed spirit, the bane of humankind.

"Oh well... It'll be fine. After all..." Gojou smirked.

"I'm the strongest"

-------

The reason why I haven't been uploading lately is because I didn't know how to write this chapter.

There were so many thing I wanted to write about, but once I wrote them, it would feel off and unoriginal. This is also why I skipped the entire Goodwill Event. I kept feeling like the fanfic was no longer a fanfic but a written version of the manga and I hate that.

So from now on, I'll be focusing a lot more on the MC and his plans/actions, but I'll also add in some POVs from other characters, like what I did at the end.

Currently, the MC is stronger than Hanami/Jogo/Choso, if he faces them without domains or the powers he wants to keep secret, but is weaker than Sukuna, Geto, Gojou/the shamans.

He is around 12 fingers of Sukuna, when not at his peak, and 15 when at his peak.

FYI, 15-17 fingers is the strength Sukuna had when fighting the Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga.
