204 Possible Threats

[Special thanks to Christian_Poole for the idea of creating a Shield around the Realm of Chaos, this will help create some interesting sagas in the upcoming future.]

(General POV)

Location the Nethervoid-Castle Neo Oblivion/The Bedroom

Currently the Dark One was sitting by a cushioned chair, quite elegant as it has violet and burgundy stitching and cushion, with a golden frame but enough of that, the Dark One was sitting next to the massive bed that all his wounded wives were sleeping.

As succubi handmaidens, attend to them changing sheaths, carefully fluffing pillows, and applying some magic ointments created by the Void Wraiths, they carefully and gently rubbed on them which not only soothed their pain but also place them in a comfortable sleep to help them.

It actually relieved him seeing all seven of them, (Chi, Kiira, Scalpel, Jade, Cassandra, Ruu, and Ragna) sleep without discomfort or pain.

Laharl smiled as he saw them sleep peacefully, at least they weren't bleeding from their eyes anymore, as the lesser succubi insure to clean them, and care for all their needs.

Thinking for a moment, the Dark One knows that Khorne must he ecstatic and anxious for his wife condition, he haven't sensed the banishment of the void wraiths, that he send to help treat Valkia.

So Laharl curious, decided to check up upon them...

Location the Blood Lands-The Brass Citadel-Remodeling/The Skull Thrones of Khorne

Khorne having returned from the Void of the Primordial One, he felt stronger, perhaps another gift from Absolute Chaos.

Immediately he went to Valkia's side as she was placed gently on the ground, and was being treated by his brother's...sorcerers...but in the end, oh be it begrudgingly they have done a great job, wrapping runed bandages over her eyes and giving the Blood God some special ointments to help her heal, and sleep so she can hasten her healing and rest without any discomfort, this news calmed the Blood God's worries and fury.

Because of their deeds, Khorne allowed the void wraiths to leave unharmed as he then charged Valkia's daughters to handle all her needs but before that Khorne actually build something to better serve them and protect Valkia at all times should he need to leave for any reason, gently carrying his sleeping wife down the Brass Citadel, he place her gently on the red ground.

He turned to the open Citadel, basically a stairway that leads directly to the thrones and their exposed selves.

While Khorne doubts that anything less than a powerful Deity could even dent his armor, Anathema's attack has proven he needs better defenses around the thrones...a fortress for him and Valkia.

He summoned all his legions from the veterans to the recently spawned, charging them with building a brass fortress over the entire Brass Citadel, and he even empowered all the ore that they brought along as he commanded, offering his own Godblood of molten lava over the blood brass ingots making stronger...he simply calls them God Blood Ore.

As the Blood God refused to leave Valkia side along with her blood valkyries, and Karanak who was rubbing his head on his right leg, whining clearly worried about his mistress, he petted his loyal elder daemon-beast.

While he oversaw all the construction done by his bloodletters, bloodthirsters, and balrogs.

He has yet to start summoning his newest servents the goristros for he has yet to do his adjustment and in reality they wouldn't be usual in construction, as he saw a herd of juggernauts used to pull up more metals, brass ore and new Godblood ore to the fifth level.

He'll design this fortress tall, and powerful, with eight levels to receive the blessings of the Blood God's sacred number, that's when he received a call from not only Laharl but Nurgle, Laharl he could understand...but Nurgle what could the Rot Lord possibly want with him, at this moment?

With no other option Khorne answered their telepathic calls...

Flashback: When the Chaos Gods returned from the Void.

Location the Plague Garden-The Blighted Mansion/The Restoration Pools

After Nurgle returned he was immediately greeted by his lovely children, that came rushing in because of the screaming and thrashing he was doing, because he was being healed in a fast...but merciless way.

When they saw their precious Grandfather, fully healed and back to full strength, they rejoiced and celebrated with Nurgle joining in on the festivities.

Ohh how Nurgle wants to add his Infectors to the Garden, but he still needs to make his little augmentation to his new daemons, plus choose which of his children will serve as host carriers for Infectors, as they will be taking the infectors with them across the Materium to spread and multiply.

Regardless Nurgle he was overjoyed that he was no longer bound to the pool's water and can leave the chamber, so long as he not tended to his precious Garden and marvel at it horrendous beauty.

As he walked through the dank, dark, moldy beauty that his dear manor he entered his throne chamber, and his priced Worldblighter was there next to the his wooden, withered throne, chuckling and smiling the Plague God reached out and grabbed the cleaver's handle finally reunited with own personal daemonic weapon and artifact.

The Plague God, banished his Worldblighter, making dissappear in a thick green miasma as it returned inside his very being...

While Nurgle and all his daemons celebrated outside the manor, within the putrid embrace of the Garden, but as the celebrations were becoming most enjoyable the Lord of Decay stopped his merriment, that's was when he realized that the Anathema and probably other forces equal or close to that man's power could pose a great threat, not only to himself, but the realm of Chaos itself.

Nurgle sat down, and thunk over this matter carefully, he felt as the little mischievous nurglings climbed up and play on and around his body.

Seeing his little nurglings frolic and play made him think harder, as he remembered that his brother Laharl is capable of not only designing but creating anything by simply being, the God of Creation, but with the use of his Warp Tesseracts, he might be able to create something to protect not only his Garden but quite possibly the entire realms of the Chaos Gods.

This made the Plague God, excite and eager as now all that was left was to contact his eldest brother, but then a thought entered his literal rotten brain, that with his and Khorne's aid this future "barrier" could be greater and stronger if each God plays a part in it's creation, now with a clear plan all that was left is to contact both his older siblings.

This lead Nurgle calling Khorne telepathically, which to his surprise he was just about to talk with their brother, Laharl...

Present Time...

Location the Blood Lands-The Brass Citadel-Remodeling/The Future Site of the Gore Fortress of Khorne

Khorne answered the telepathic calls from his brothers, as guessed Laharl was surprised that Nurgle has also called as the two listened to their cheery, sickly brother regale them of the festivities, and also of the interesting plan...

He told them of building a "barrier" exclusively meant to ward off aggression towards them from entities at the Anathema's level, as he also expressed concern on what their patron said about "Agents of Order" as he told them, "If this Anathema could enter without notice, and cause this level of damage to our respective realm. What would happen if other equally or stronger entities, from the multiverse manage to enter or realm unnotice like he did?".

This revelation shocked both Khorne and Laharl, completely missing that possibility might happen, as both then turn to look at their respected wife/wives, while could only image the possible scenarios, Laharl being once mortal knows of many entities that might be able crossover to their realm from all three sides of spectrum...Order, Neutrality or Chaos...

The Dark One thought of those possible enemies that are able to crossover, and attack them from Galactus from Marvel, Unicron from Transformers, Truth from Fullmetal Alchemist, hell even DBS characters would be able to crossover with those stupid Super Dragonballs, and much more...

Laharl shutters in imagining one or more of those entities coming to the Warhammer Universe, be it for selfish desires, or whoever is Absolute Chaos opposite sending a powerful champion with super-plot armor, or simply a bored entity that came to mess things up for them.

Staring in worry at his sleeping wives, while he and the other Chaos Gods can grow to reach multiversal level of power, they and all possible Daemon Queens in the future will still be at a weaker level, and vulnerable against these kind of threats.

He knows he never thought of the possibility of another primordial entity of Order and Good, could do the same as their patron and send powerful enemies to attack, and even be able to destroy them, as Laharl readjust himself on his chair, he completely agreed with Nurgle's suggestion of create a "barrier", a eternal shield around the Immaterium that will protect them from dangerous attacks, and prevent any dangerous entities to wonder into the Warp without their knowledge.

So he told his brothers he'll create a unique eternal shield that will overseer their realm, but he asked for their aid and attendance as he was making this artifact.

Khorne standing there in his realm, listening to all that his brothers were saying and quite literally the Plague God, dropped a bomb on then, Khorne never could have imagine adversaries that even he could match.

If it was the old him, he wouldn't care for his enemy's strength only that they provide a worthy challenge and quite possibly an honorable death for him...but now, he was no longer a mindless bloody berserker, but a king, a God, as he looked down next to him at his sleeping, blinded wife, said out loud, "...And a proud husband." so Blood God, answered his brothers promising to provide his aid in creation of this shield.

Nurgle was happy and pleased that his brothers accepted his proposal, as he spoke in a sick but greatly happy mature voice, "Ohhh....how delightful,...brothers. Thou I...haven't...known...you two...long,...and our...first...meeting...was all...but...pleasant. I'm glad...to...have...kind older...brothers..." then he sighed and coughed before resuming, "...but...I...have a...feeling...Tzeentch won't...be as...easy...as I...to...cooperate." Nurgle didn't know how right he was with that statement, is what Laharl thought.

While Khorne was a little peaved by Nurgle's comment of him, the God of War, being nice but from what's he has learn that just how his younger brother is...

Khorne turned to the blood valkyries, and ordered them, "I have an important, task I must do with the other Chaos Gods. You're to protect and attend to my wife, and she's harm in any form, you're souls shall taste oblivion." the she-daemons, kneeled and swore to the Blood God none may lay a hand, on his dear Valkia.

To be at the side caution, he also instructed Karanak to guard Valkia and her blood valkyries.

Then before answering his brothers that he'll also be assisting in the design and creation of this barrier, he ordered his daemons to keep working, and constructing the Gore Fortress as he decided to name his new dwelling.

With everything set and agreed Laharl gave his opinion that this "barrier or shield" should be hidden beneath their realms, as the Gate which none of them as yet seen is probably in a neutral spot above, as Laharl was basing this on his knowledge of Chaos lore, involving the Forge of Souls.

As he went further to explain it should be underground, below and impossible for anyone except for them and their future siblings to access this shield, so each Dark God can add a piece of themselves and constanly upgrade the shield.

This way no God would have complete dominance or control over it and they'll benefit, while Khorne and Nurgle found all that their brother, said to be agreeable, the Plague and Blood Gods saw it more beneficial to be under Laharl's control and watch since he'll never risk them, or their wife/future wife and less his own well beings.

They said this to him, especially once they gain this sibling the Great Horned Rat (I'll have a name chosen by the time that Warhammer Fantasy Arc is underway.), and less Tzeentch for what their brother said about the Changer of Ways, and the God of Trickery they wish the shield to under the care of one they can fully trust.

Location the Nethervoid-Castle Neo Oblivion/The Bedroom

Laharl felt...touched by their comments, truth be told aside from his best friend that was a brother from another mother at that point, he was an only child, so this is something foreign to him...and probably for them as well.

Laharl though about how much change and influence he has done to his siblings, but shaking his head he told them, "Thank you, brothers. But now, we have much to do and prepare. Not only is our mortal enemy, the Anathema has shown himself, we must prepare to welcome are future brother the Great Horned Rat, and build this shield. See you two underneath the realm." as he cut off the connection.

Looking at his sleeping wives one last time, he told him he'll be back quickly as he ordered the succubi to watch and care for them.

They nodded and bowed to him, swearing they'll do just as he command and that no harm will come to the dark mistresses, smirking with all the defenses he has placed it would take an outher-being to enter the Nethervoid, that why he needed to create this barrier...he has even come up with a name for said barrier, "Ochain Shield" a mythological shield in Celtic myth, wielded by the uncle of the famous, Hound of Culann, Cú Chulainn.

As he started to walk out the bed chamber, and go meet his brothers for this most important project, and defense to the realms of the Immaterium...and his beloved family.
