Expect The Unexpected

I was still crying when I lifted my face to look up at Asaki.

" How much of the memory did you see? " I sniffed wiping my tears.

" All of it. I didn't mean to see it but it was so loud and so terrible that It just overwhelmed me to keep out of your head. " He said guilty.

" You're the only person other than Bosu to know about that. Now I know who was responsible for their deaths. Your brother slaughtered my friends and I plan on having a talk with him. " I said through clenched teeth. I would hunt Shokan to the ends of the earth for what he did that day. Rage boiled in me and I turned and walked toward my dorm. Asaki grabbed me by the arm and turned me towards him.

" Don't do that, Nikku. He is stronger than you can think, he's been training to fight even while he was human, which makes him even more dangerous as a demon. " He said pleading.

" I have to make him pay. For Kyle and for Asika. " I said my voice cracking as I said my sisters name.

" Look, killing him won't bring Asika back. You know that, he will kill you now that you know he killed them. you got away from him once but you won't get away from him twice. Please, just stay in your dorm tonight and stay safe! " He said begging.

" I can't do that. " I said yanking my arm from his grip.

I walked away from him and towards my room.

" He'll kill you, to get to me. He already knows you have feelings for me. He knows that, and he'll use that to his advantage! " He yelled.

I didn't think about anything other than waiting til night. I got dressed in my Phoenix armored mini dress that served as armor. I got on my boots, gloves, katana sheath, and placed my sword in the sheath. Before I could open the window and slip out a knock on my door sounded. I thought it was probably Kurudo and I expected to see he pink eyes but when I opened the door amber eyes greeted me.

" What do you want, Asaki. You can't change my mind. " I snapped in a whisper.

" I know, I know " He said in a hushed and grim voice.

" Then what are you doing here? " I asked irritated.

I was waiting for an answer but instead he leaned in and his lips brushed against mine. I was so suprised that for a moment I didn't kiss him back, but when the shock faded I leaned in to his kiss and kissed him back.

I guess he was just as suprised as me by my reaction cause when he leaned back he smiled a smile that took my breath more than his eyes had.

" I thought you would slap me I didn't think you would kiss me back. " He said in a cocky voice.

I slapped him hard just for good measure. He chuckled but then his face was serious again.

" Don't get killed, okay Nikku? " he said.

" I'll try my best not to. " I said the anger coming out again.

" Go Hunt, Nikku. " He said in a strong voice.

I walked to the window and opened it, slipping into the dark of night. I only looked back once I was barely able to see as Asaki walked out of my room and closed the door.

The feel of his lips was still fresh on my mind calming the anger slightly. I just kissed a demon, I didn't know how to feel about it. I touched my lips as if I could replay the feel of his lips brushing against mine. I was completely bewildered and a little astounded by it. As I leaped from building to building I shook the thought and locked it up so I could think about it later on.

I was searching the city for hours and was about to turn back and go back home when his voice shattered the silence.

" Who was that girl and why does she look so damn familiar? " He demanded angrily.

I felt the tension of more than one demon and as I peaked down from the edge of the building O recognized them all. They were all the demons from school. The four armed demons, the purple eyed demon, and the others from the files.

I quickly leaned against the roof''s edge and cursed silently. How could I have been so stupid to go looking for a demon thinking it would be alone. I should have listened to Asaki, damn all of it. Shit. There is no way I can take on all of them and come out alive. I should have used my head and listened to the voice of reason. Well not turning back now. I was already here and I sure as hell wasn't about to turn back when I just found him.

" Watch how you speak to me! You forget who made you into what you are now. I made you as a weapon, a weapon that will be of great use. " said a voice that made me want to bolt from fear. My entire body was shivering. The voice was that of a demon king. I looked over the edge and risked a glance at the person the voice belonged to. When I found it my mouth dropped.

He was the most sublime, salient, and delectable male I had ever seen. He was also the most intimidating, petrifying, lascivious, lustful and immodest demon I had ever looked at.

His hair was ash brown with gold stripes that glinted in the street lights. His light gray skin complemented his golden eyes that had slit irises. He had gold sun rays framing the outer v of his eye and a bright glowing gold sun sat on his forehead. His body was nothing but pure muscle covered by gold armor and his eyes were shaped seductively. His entire existence

His head whipped around to where I was peaking over but now hid behind. I knew I had been discovered but he didn't say anything to expose me. In Fact he went on with the conversation as if he never saw me.

" Shokan, my son. You and Debasaki are my own children. I turned both of you when you were young so I could teach you two the art of killing. You were made to be loyal children and serve your father. I never taught you to let your prey escape and now it has come back to look you in the face. Now you and your brother will have to right the mistake you made. " He snapped.

" My brother won't kill her, he is in love with the damn hashira! You only have my loyalty now not his he'll stand up for her and turn his back on you father. She has him wrapped around her finger and she doesn't even know it!. " He said falling to his knees kissing the demons boots.

" How dare you talk about your own brother like that. I doubt his love for her is real at all he probably is trying to get close so he can kill her in the worst way. My son is great at that. He is a sex demon he will no doubt enjoy himself in the process. He takes after me in that department. " The demon laughs. His laugh was so musical and seductive and it scared the hell out of me.

" Why is it that he is your favorite son, what have I ever done to become the second favorite? " He yelled.

" HOW DARE YOU. " he said angrily. Shokan was hit with a wall of light that sent him into the wall. When the light died Shokan's skin was burned and was bleeding. His whole body was burned and as he heaved himself up and to his feet he stood and cowarded.

" Forgive me, father. I didn't mean to speak such ill things to you. " he said bowing his head.

" I have no favorites but my eldest son has never failed me, you have. If you wish my favor you will do as I say when I say so. Make yourself useful and take your posse away I wish to be alone with my thoughts. " he ordered.

" Yes, Jaakuna, I mean, father " He said actually scrambling away like a wounded dog.

Once he was alone he turned to where I peaked from.

" I know your there, have the decency to face your foe in the eyes instead of creeping about. " His voice boomed.
