Blacktooth took off with astonishing speed, he wielded the mace like it was a toothpick, swinging it left and right with ease. He made a quickdraw strike with the mace.

Bian countered with a quick parry, he quickly fell back as he realized something was wrong. He looked at the marble katana closely.

Under all the light and glamour, a light crack had surfaced on it. It was losing in durability, after twenty or less strikes, it would definitely be shattered.

"This isn't the time to space out!" Blacktooth launched himself airborne, he smashed down the mace with all his might. Bian barely managed to dodge in time.

With a mighty shockwave, debris of grass and dirt were flung into the air. A ten meter pit was formed where the mace struck the ground, steam rising from the point of impact.

"I thought you said you would keep me alive or something you asshole!" Bian yelled at Blacktooth. If he got smacked by that move, he definitely wouldn't survive.

With a scoff, Blacktooth continued his assault while Bian was in the defensive.

"You are strong, blame your poor luck for going against me" Blacktooth yelled and charged forward.

Several 'liberators' had tried to challenge him before. Unfortunately, even those from other islands with their gene lock open couldn't resist more than three of his strikes.

*Crack*

Bian took a closer look at the katana, it was covered in cracks from top to bottom. It only lasted this long due to the boost from the super beast soul aura.

Bian fell back with a sigh. "I truly enjoyed our fight, it was really interesting fighting against you. Nice power!" Bian gave Blacktooth a thumbs up.

He heard a cracking noise from his sea of soul as the Thorned Menace finished its evolution. It looked like thin strands of red spaghetti frolicking about. It was truly repulsive.

'Has he gone retarded, or does he actually have a trick up his sleeve?' Blacktooth was left bewildered by the words he heard.

He was clearly winning the fight, as Bian could only remain passive. He felt annoyed as he fought Bian, since he was clearly faster and yet he couldn't land a clean hit.

'I have to kill him now, to make sure he isn't a threat.' Blacktooth was used to being the strongest person around, he was even planning on conquering shelters in the near future.

"I just have one question before we end this fight, are you a bad guy." Bian said as though he was asking a question, but he already had his answer.

"Enough talk, are you stalling for time. It doesn't matter, I'll finish you off now!" Blacktooth yelled and ran towards Bian.

The lightning rune surfaced in Bian's mind, time seemed to slow to a crawl. Bian watched as Blacktooth dashed towards him, step by step he got closer to him.

With his dongxuan sutra gene lock, Bian could tell he was planning a feint. He expects Bian to fall back when he swings the mace.

In an unexpected twist, Bian ran towards the mace. His marble katana might be somewhat ineffective against super creatures, but it was enough to deal with the flesh of mortals.

With a clean cleave Bian sliced off the arm wielding the mace, he was quick to fall back narrowly avoiding the retaliatory punch.

"Haha!" Bian laughed at the expression of Blacktooth. "You face looks like you ate a pile of shit."

"How did I get so fast? That's probably what you're thinking right? Well I didn't get faster I simply got more agile" Bian employed cleaver hit and run tactics to wear down Blacktooth.

With the aid of Jade sun force, he didn't look to be getting tired anytime soon. The same could also be said with Blacktooth.

Although Blacktooth was covered in cuts and bruises, his injuries did not bleed. His stamina also showed no signs of drainage.

Bian fell back into the bushes for a bit before he rushed forward without his weapon. Although Blacktooth was covered in injuries his eyes were incredibly sharp.

Bian had been slowing down for a while now, he suddenly got even slower. Blacktooth summoned the mace once more and ripped off an arm of Bian.

"Argh!!" The scream didn't come from Bian but rather from Blacktooth. Another Bian appeared from behind and sliced both archilies tendon of his feet and his other arm.

The Bian in front was a doppelganger of the aqua impostor. Bian had purposely slowed down to lure Blacktooth into thinking he had a chance for a come back.

Bian unsummoned the doppelganger and the katana. With his fists he beat Blacktooth half to death, half of his initial injuries had healed during the battle.

Bian beat him without remorse but he didn't kill him, Blacktooth surely knew a lot, at least more than Labak. Bian broke him physically but his mental fortitude was quite strong.

"Well I hope this doesn't hurt too badly" Bian summoned forth the Thorned Menace. Bands of thin red spaghetti-like vines adorned with small thorns wriggled about.

They rushed forward into Blacktooth, through his injuries. It undulated through EVERY PART of his body.

"Arghh!!!"

The screams of Blacktooth were guttural and bloody. His eyes which were originally sharp and cunning, begged for mercy. The thin red spikes extended and brought his arms back to the body, burrowing through them too.

Then the screaming stopped, his eyes dulled as though he was hypnotized but the thin red vines continued to move about in his body like worms.

"Freaking disgusting!" although Bian hated Blacktooth, he didn't want to watch anyone suffer through something so cruel either.

"Can you speak?" Bian asked.

"Y-Yes" Infected Blacktooth muttered a bit before responding.

"Who are you?"

"Argh!!" Blacktooth yelled and seemed to be in pain.

"Stop! Don't answer" Bian said to him, it would seem as though he couldn't ask questions that were too personal.

Blacktooth had a strong physique stronger than an average super creature, and he had a strong will also. Bian couldn't force him to do something completely against his will.

"What a headache" Bian rubbed his temples, Blacktooth's screams were really loud. "Where were you coming from?"

"I was coming from a strange region, groups of strong creatures inhabited that area. I couldn't defeat them and was forced to retreat."

"Lead the way." Blacktooth pointed in a specific direction. Bian summoned the Golden growler in its full size and rode in the direction he pointed too.

It turns out the island was bigger than he thought. It would take two weeks to reach their destination even with the speed of the golden growler.

"What is the blood refine sutra" Bian inquired.

"It is a failed duplicate of the blood-pulse sutra, considered a failure because it can only unlock four gene locks."

"Is there anyone as strong as you on this island"

"No"

"Is there anyone who can defeat you"

"Only you, could defeat me. The rest are just small fries save for a really annoying person."

"Oh, who would that be?" Bian wondered who could have gained the ire of Blacktooth.

"Chen Ran, his usage of the seven twists makes him nearly impossible to catch" Blacktooth became more aggressive as he spoke about Chen Ran.

"Where did you meet Chen Ran?"

"Whitesand shelter"

"How did you get there?"

"I used a sacred-blood mount to sail towards the direction. It took me two months to get there"

Bian gained a lot from Blacktooth. Although he couldn't ask him some important questions because of the resistance, he was more than satisfied with what he learnt.

More than a week later Bian saw a mountain in the distance, he felt an uneasy sensation in his sea of soul.

The Emperor Manticore seemed to be attracted towards the mountain, soon night came. Bian clearly spotted a giant hole in the mountain, a large green orb was glowing in this mountain cavity.

"What is that?"

"I do not know, powerful creatures are guarding that light source." Blacktooth responded in a monotonous manner, his emotions went back to zero once Chen Ran wasn't mentioned.

A couple of days later, Bian finally entered the territory of the mountain, the ground was green and it seemed to be snowing green lights.

This light melted into Bian but had no effect on him, Blacktooth or the golden growler. The uneasiness of the manticore reached its peak.

Bian had to summon it due to its trashing about. As soon as the manticore was summoned, several green lights flowed towards it like it was the natural thing to do.

Bian finally saw a creature. It was a gray cat with purple butterfly wings. It was a mutant creature but was quite stunning to look at.

As soon as the cat saw the manticore, it flew away from its path. Bian met several creatures that looked like hybrids.

The butterfly cat was the weakest of the bunch as most of the creatures were sacred-blood. He saw Satyrs and centaurs, even minotaurs and manticores.

They all made way for the manticore, as though it was their superior. After travelling for a while, Bian noticed that the Emperor Manticore was getting strengthened by the green light, and it wasn't the only one.

There were more green lights raining down as they approached the mountain. The creatures who lived near the mountains were getting stronger.

Eventually, Bian met an adversary that refused to make way for the manticore. He unsummoned the golden growler and watched the opponent.

It had the upper body of a minotaur and the lower body of a centaur. Bian had difficulty, deciphering the energy flow. But he was sure it was a super creature. It's lifeforce burned brightly

The manticore ended the life of the minotaur-centaur with a sting to the throat.

Bian was astonished, the creature was a little bit weaker than an average super creature. But it was definitely stronger than a sacred-blood creature. The gap between sacred-blood and super was too wide to breach so easily.

Bian looked towards the green orb in the mountain cavity. "What are you?" he narrowed his eyes towards it.
