Locations of super beasts

Bian found himself in a precarious situation, uncertain whether Ning Yue was a genuine person or a doppelganger beast soul in disguise. To assess the situation, he summoned the minotaur and observed its attack from a distance.

The minotaur charged toward the group of men, delivering a powerful assault, but none of them were fatally injured. Bian instructed the minotaur to deliberately avoided killing the opponents.

Bian needed a definitive answer about Ning Yue's authenticity. As the minotaur's attack reached a critical point, Bian couldn't wait any longer. He rushed forward, pushing Ning Yue out of harm's way and aided the squad members in their retreat. Once they reached a certain point, the minotaur returned to its place on the mountain peak.

"Thank you for the assist," Ning Yue said, scrutinizing the crystal-armored man who had come to their rescue, his eyes attempting to discern the truth.

"No problem, that's what any person would do," Bian replied, maintaining his facade. They decided to set up camp at a distance from the mountain.

While they sat around a bonfire, Bian discreetly practiced the Dongxuan Sutra. A pleasant scent wafted through the air, piquing the squad members' caution.

"What's that smell?" They raised their guards, fearing it might be poison.

Ning Yue, however, dismissed their concerns, stating, "There's no reason for concern; it seems to be our new friend."

Bian watched the energy flows of everyone except Ning Yue, who didn't exhibit any energy flow at all. This confirmed Bian's suspicions that Ning Yue was indeed a doppelganger.

During the night, Bian sneaked out of his tent and approached Ning Yue's tent with stealth. He overheard conversations that indicated the presence of a person who could access the records he needs.

"All right, we've verified that there is another one here. Update the archives tomorrow, and we'll return to the base as soon as dawn arrives."

Bian had heard enough. He waited until most people were asleep, and in the middle of the night, he summoned the minotaur to attack the camp. Chaos erupted as the minotaur destroyed their tents and seemingly killed Ning Yue, who shattered and faded away. It chased off the squad members.

The next in command ordered them to split up and regroup later. Bian seized the opportunity to knock him unconscious. Using the sacred-blood parasite beast soul, he sent a mushroom into the man.

After unsummoning the minotaur, Bian returned to the alliance and informed Han Yan that they would soon begin their hunt for super creatures. He had to wait until the next day when Hua Geng, the person he infected, went to the base to update the archives.

Bian sent a mental message to Hua Geng, threatening his life unless he viewed all the saved records. Since his credentials had the capability to update the system, he could naturally view a portion of it.

"Who are you?" Hua Geng asked before feeling intense pain, as if someone was squeezing his heart.

"I'd rather die," he attempted to pull out a knife, but Bian intervened.

Though it was a struggle, Hua Geng wasn't particularly strong. It seemed like he would soon be replaced.

"Just do it, and I'll release you instantly," Bian urged, pressed for time.

With a groan, Hua Geng viewed all the locations on the hard drive, totaling 24. It was a rapid scan, preventing anyone from obtaining a clear view.

"Are you happy now?" Hua Geng asked, preparing to provoke Bian or meet his demise.

"No," Bian responded and released the parasite, thereby freeing Hua Geng. Parasite beast souls were one-time use, and once terminated, they were gone for good.

Now armed with the information he needed, Bian reviewed each location using mental point targeting. The hunt was about to begin.

Bian and Han Yan discussed their plans and agreed to embark on a hunting frenzy after completing their sophomore years. In the meantime, they cherished their time together in school, enjoying each other's company.

Bian had some business to attend to as well, and he visited Manager Bo of the Echo Geckos. The band had expanded with additional personnel, including male singers for some of their songs.

"Mr. Bian, thank you so much. Because of you, my sister's dream of becoming a superstar has become a reality," Manager Bo expressed his gratitude to Bian. He then made a confession, "Also, I withheld some money from your bank to make it look more appealing for new staff and members."

Bian took the news in stride, saying, "That's alright." He was there for another purpose, and he handed over a few songs to Manager Bo. However, the manager's expression turned ashen when he noticed some Japanese songs among them.

"Um, Mr. Bian, some of these…" Manager Bo hesitated, concerned about incorporating songs in another language into the band's repertoire.

Bian remained undeterred and asked, "Can't you find someone who can sing them?"

Manager Bo replied, "I can, but will the public embrace music in another language? It might affect our reputation."

With a confident smile, Bian assured him, "You have no idea." He also handed over some classical music by Mozart, aimed at appealing to an older audience.

Bian patiently waited as the band rehearsed the songs to perfection. When he heard the first song, "Aoi Aoi Ano Sora," performed flawlessly, he felt deeply moved on a spiritual level.

Bian didn't stop at Japanese songs; he provided the band with a diverse range of songs and remixes. After they released these tracks, they also worked on an instrumental piece called "Ladyfingers." The landscape of music was about to be elevated to a whole new level, thanks to the fusion of cultures and musical genres.

Bian faced some difficulty in procuring the vials of geno solution required for the first breakthrough in Jadeskin, specifically for the hyper geno art known as microcrystal. Determined to obtain what he needed, he returned to the Alliance Central Military Academy and sought the assistance of Ouyang Ming, who was known for his connections and resourcefulness.

"Hey, can you help someone get some geno solutions for a hyper geno art?" Bian inquired.

Ouyang Ming's vulture-like eyes seemed to gleam with interest as he responded, "Yes, but depending on the rank, it's going to be quite expensive."

Money wasn't a concern for Bian, so he got straight to the point. "Can you get two vials of geno solution for a hyper geno art called microcrystal?"

Ouyang Ming didn't argue or mention the decades-long commitment required to master microcrystal. Instead, he focused on the deal and the cost.

"Just the geno solution?" he clarified.

Bian nodded in confirmation, and Ouyang Ming pondered the request for a moment before providing a price.

"Two bottles for a hyper geno art like microcrystal will cost you 700 thousand dollars. Non-negotiable," Ouyang Ming stated, watching Bian closely for his reaction.

Bian thought to himself that the price was surprisingly reasonable, not even reaching a million dollars. With a simple "alright," the deal was sealed. It took a couple of weeks, but eventually, the geno solution arrived.

During this time, Bian refrained from delving into the sanctuaries, instead dedicating himself to the study of the crystallisers, their language, and their mechanisms. The Saints Hall had already assigned his placement for after graduation.

When the geno solution finally arrived, Bian handed one vial to Han Yan, explaining, "We need to drink this solution to achieve the first breakthrough in Jadeskin because we didn't practice it from an early age."

With a shared understanding, they purchased a private room and consumed the geno solution.
