Suspicion

Hua Mulan and Lee Jianguo went inside the study first and were waiting for Lu Meirong to come inside so that they could have a proper conversation. When Lu Meirong entered the study both of them just sat in their seats without uttering a single word.

Lu Meirong's hands started sweating, she couldn't take this silence anymore. She did nothing wrong and she is still a kid, should they really treat her like a criminal brought of interrogation. She was very dissatisfied with this couple's behaviour. She decided to wait patiently until they speak. She should be acting normal like a 15 years old kid. No one will notice or understand her mind unless she speaks it out loud. From a young age her mother had thought her how to act and how to control her emotions. Her mother always said if she wants a better future first thing, she needs to do is control her emotions, her anger and her desires. Over the years, she has managed to train herself well to control her emotions. Her biggest dream is to become a world-renowned actress. She will take her revenge and fulfil her dream at the same time. No one can stop her from getting what she wants. Thinking about her grand future plan, she calmed her mind and focused her attention on the matter at hand. With a slightly red eyes she looked towards Hua Mulan and Lee Jianguo who were sitting on the sofa in the study.

Lee Jianguo looked at Lu Meirong and thought for a second if he was overthinking. The girl Infront of him is just a 15 years old girl, how can she be capable of thinking about the loss and gains, control his daughter and make him do things for her? Was this even possible? But as an experience business man he could sense that he can't read through this little girl's mind. She seems way too calm for her age. He had a feeling that he missed something and it's very important. Even if he is wrong, he still wanted to test her out and see to himself, what a little girl can do!

Hua Mulan had similar thoughts to Lee Jianguo, she also thought this little girl seem to be matured beyond her age. If anyone else were in the same situation as hers, facing their guardians they should be nervous and panic or get angry and fight. That's what normal kids do. But Lu Meirong on the other hand is standing calmly here waiting for them to speak as if nothing can make her waver. That shouldn't be right. Why did they never saw such a side of Lu Meirong, why did they never cared about a person who was so close to their daughter and she seems to be able to control every move of her daughter. How could they be so careless of not understanding such a big issue. If today's thing didn't happen then they wouldn't know that their daughter was being controlled. No wonder, if we think carefully, till date whatever their daughter asked or did; everything was related to Lu Meirong. Nothing was for her own, everything was to make Lu Meirong happy. After realising the situation Hua Mulan turned to look at Lee Jianguo, who also looking at her. They understood the look in each other's eyes and decided to look out for the counter measures. They seem to have spoiled their daughter too much, and gave too much freedom which made her willful. And they didn't even realise that there was someone with her all the time controlling her like a puppet. They failed as a parents keep their daughter safe. Were they little too late is realising the issue?

Each one had their own worries, first one to break the silence was Lee Jianguo. He looked at Lu Meirong and said,

"Tell me about your friend and their family's situation. I will see what I can do to help them. Let me be clear first, I will not help them directly and our families will have no ties. Tell them clearly that they can never use our family name to gain any benefits. Once this favour is done, I hope you can listen to me regarding your future and let me settle it for you".

Lu Meirong understood the meaning. This was not a favour but a preparation to send her away from Lijuan. Huh… what a great father. To protect his daughter born to this woman, he is sacrificing her life. Do they think it's easy to send her away? Really? Let's see if Lijuan would be happy after hearing this. Will that fool agree to send me away? Never!

Lu Meirong went on her knees and bowed deeply to Lee Jianguo and Hua Mulan and said,

"Mr.Lee, I am really grateful to you. Thank you for everything you and Mrs. Lee have done for me. I will definitely return your favour in the future. Thank you for your willingness to help my friend. I am fine with every arrangement you would do for me. I will leave my future decisions to you. I know whatever you decide would be best for me".

Lee Jianguo paused in action for a second and looked at Lu Meirong. He didn't expect her to agree so easily. Whether what they thought about her was right or wrong he didn't want to leave any danger to lurk around his precious daughter. He gestured her to stand up and sit opposite to them.

"Then it's settled. You can concentrate on you studies this year, by earliest next year I will settle your application overseas and get you a seat in a good college. I hear from Xiao Juan that you want to be an actress. I will get you into a good acting college with good facility. I will support you until you can depend on yourself".

Lee Jianguo meaning was quite clear, 'once you become an actress you can fend for yourself. You will be adult by then and can take care of your life'. Hua Mulan agreed to Lee Jianguo's thoughts. She felt that it was the best decision for her own daughter and Lu Meirong.

"Yes, I think it's the best decision for you. You like acting more than studies. So you can take acting as main course and other subjects as secondary just to gain required knowledge. What do you think Meirong?"
