After dinner yesterday, Lin Xu approached Ji Tingyang reluctantly.
"What's wrong, is there something you need?" Ji Tingyang asked, seeing her hesitant expression.
"Tomorrow… I suddenly have something to do, so I might not be able to go to the dinner with you," Lin Xu said guiltily, fiddling with the hem of her clothes.
"What happened?" Ji Tingyang inquired.
"Well, I'm not feeling well and I don't want to go out tomorrow," Lin Xu answered, her eyes flickering.
No sooner had she finished speaking than Ji Tingyang's face tensed up with concern. He grabbed her hand and asked urgently, "Where does it hurt? I'll call our family doctor right now."
He quickly dismissed the idea, "No, let's not. The hospital has better equipment. I'll take you there for a check-up. Wait here for me; I'm going to get the car."
With that, he hurried toward the parking lot.
Lin Xu held him back, "Wait, there's no need to go to the hospital!"
