Failed Rebellion: The Hanged

The guards separated them into different cells, Karyan found himself alone once again, in a wet, cold and silent place.

After laying on the ground, grunting in pain, he heard a footsept coming.

Once again, a familiar sound, "you came so fast, did you miss me…?"

When Mateo stepped into his dimly lit space.

The tension grew thicker, even without the presence of the others to witness their exchange.

"Karyan, even in chains, you pretend to be a king of snakes," Mateo began, his tone was with scorn.

Karyan, wincing in pain, met his eyes. "And you, Mateo, playing the loyal God as always. Who's really in chains here?"

Mateo's laugh echoed off the cold stone. "Me? I'm not the one who's about to break. How does it feel, knowing you've lost everything?"

Karyan's reply was simple, calm and slow. "You think you've won? This? This is just a setback. We've sparked something you can't extinguish with chains or threats."
