One part of him wished that Karlin was safe and protected, and another part wished they'd never met. 

He was a fully grown man now, like Karyan, so he obviously wanted answers that only Karyan was able to answer. 

But this…he never wished to explain to Karlin why his hair was now dark green and why his eyes were different from his, even though they both looked the same when they were children. 

"Ho-how did you get here, how did you survive?" 

"I didn't. I escaped the country a long time ago." 

"You…I was thinking about you day and night, every single morning, I'd wake up and hoped you and Barbara were still alive…"

"We-, I mean I am alive."

"I will be more cruel to it, nothing to worry about."
