Chapter 3

The light shown on the stage again as the actors lined up to take their final bow. Wendy's mother, Sarah Zhou stood up along with her daughter and the rest of the audience.

Wendy walked over to Shen Rou and thanked her again for the invitation. She promised to take Shen Rou out for a meal when she found an appropriate time.

By the time they walked out it was around 7pm. Wendy dragged her to the nearest shop and bought two ice creams with the rest of the money she had with her.

As they were nearing summer it was hot even in the evening. The two walked the streets back to their home as Wendy pondered the various means of earning money.

On reaching the house, Wendy sighed with relief when she realized that her father's vehicle was nowhere in sight.

As they unlocked the door to enter the house, Wendy heard a high pitched dinging sound that made her head hurt and an image flashed through Wendy's mind.

it was more of a holographic image that appeared blur. It was a little girl with wide eyes and pigtails. She was so cute.

"Hello, Master. I'm Bao-yu", the girl said as she smiled. Her smile made her eyes look brighter.

As much as Wendy was charmed by her cuteness, she knew needed to understand what was happening to her.

After they entered the house, Wendy headed for her room after she entered the house and laid on her bed.

"So, who and what are you?" she asked out loud feeling weird.

She did not know whether or not she would get a reply and she was not even sure if she imagined what happened earlier.

But the chiming sound was heard before the cute girl appeared in her mind again.

"Hello, Master. I'm Bao-yu but you can call me Baobao", she said.

"Yew, you said that earlier but why and how are you in my head.

Or... Are you a part of my imagination", she wondered.

"No master, I'm not your imagination. I am system 067 and was created to help you. I chose you because I had faith that you will be a perfect fit for the character I'd pictured.

A strong and independent person, who would strive for success and an extreme talent.

When I first saw your soul, I knew that you were the one and so expended almost all of my energy and power on bringing you back.

As you further progress, I will let you know how to gather energy and do other things.

But for now, you need to gather and train yourself. You are too weak to do any real damage.

If you want to get revenge and take back what belongs to you, you have to start improving on yourself".

"And, you do know that you can speak to me in your mind, don't you? I don't want people thinking you are..."

Wendy frowned in displeasure.
