CHAPTER 1

"Did you really think that I ever loved you?" Steve Lin asked with a sinister look in his eyes as he looked down at the trembling Wendy Xie.

Tears fell from her swollen red eyes as she bit her lower lip.

He bent down and grabbed her by her hair before slamming her head against the cold floor.

"I was only with you so that I could get your money and property and since I have them now, you are completely useless".

"And all these years, I fed you with those drugs that made everyone think that you were crazy because of your hallucinations", her loving sister added shaking her head in amusement.

"Steve....let's make this quick, our parents are waiting for us", Cassandra Xie, Wendy's stepsister said to Steve as she leaned on his arm and acted coquettishly. She send a victorious look Wendy's way but she was too heartbroken to focus.

She never would've expected her caring and loving boyfriend to show his true colors just as they were planning on getting eloped. Everything felt preposterous to her.

At that moment, she would've done something if she could but she felt extremely weak and she had no idea why.

'How could he betray me?' she chanted on in her head and started to lose consciousness slowly.

'Have they decided to kill me too?' she thought as she frantically tried to force herself to stay awake.

As if reading her, Cassandra responded, "Don't worry. You were not poisoned. We don't plan to kill you. At least not yet. It's just something that will make you weak as my men have fun with you. You should be happy that I didn't get one that'll make you lose your consciousness or you would not be able to enjoy your first".

Cassandra cackled.

Although weak, she managed to cuss at Cassandra.

Pretending to be offended, Cassandra replied, "Are you not the kind and pretty one? Prove yourself to be a nice person by taking care of their needs when you know you can".

Soon enough, five men walked in, three of whom Cassandra recognized to be Steve's men.

She then placed her phone at an angle were Wendy's face could be seen before exiting the room.

The only thing Wendy felt was intense pain before she blacked out.

Her eyes fluttered open when she felt a cold splash on her body. Her father and stepmother stood in front of her with their own differing expressions.

Her father's expression held disgust and her stepmother's held gloating.

The sudden sharp pain on her left cheek brought her out of her daze to face them.

"You are a disgrace to the Xie family. I hereby disown you as a member of the Xie family. We have never had a daughter like you", he said before grabbing a knife and plunging it deep in her stomach.

Steve used his hands to block Cassandra's gaze and grabbed her hand to pull her from the room. The only person left in the room watched the receding figures as she lay in the pool of her blood.

"I won't spare any of you even if I die. I will drag you all to the pits of hell with me", were her dying thoughts before she fell into the pit of darkness.

Keeping in mind those who had hurt and betrayed her.
