Chapter 48- I Don't Want To Get Hurt Again

"You are not eating" He said pointing at my food. 

"I don't feel like" With all the thoughts in my head right now, I don't think I can eat. 

"Should we grab a burger after?" A smile found its way to my face hearing him say that. "Mom would take that personal, if she heard you," I warned him. He smiled back at me, "If that is what you want, I don't mind your Mom's wrath". Feeling a little better and less paranoid, I picked up the cutlery to start eating. Adrian poured some juice into my cup, placing it beside my plate. I mouthed a thank you to him. 

Mom brought back a fluffy chocolate cake with frosting on top. My eyes were about to pop out from their sockets just looking at the cake. Mom placed a slice on each person's plate and I glared at her. Dad chuckled, dividing his slice into two halves and giving one to me, "Stop glaring at your mother Nene." He said, smiling at me. I smiled back at him pushing away my plate of food before forking down the chocolate cake.
