Chapter 45- Missing Her

Adrian's pov

Penelope… I couldn't get her out of my mind. It has been two weeks since I arrived in New York. The shareholders meeting went well and Dean is officially a Co-CEO of Hunt's corp. In the past two weeks I have had to bury myself in work to distract my mind from thinking about her. Yet she still finds her way into my thoughts, how smooth her skin feels in my hands, how her lips fitted perfectly with mine, how she keeps taking my breath away and making me lose control. I didn't tell Dean about the kiss, I wanted to keep that for myself. We haven't called or texted in two weeks, I know I should call first but I don't want the attraction to cloud her judgement. I want to give her time to think it through properly before speaking to her again. She needs to be sure of what she wants and not be swayed by the moment. Whatever she decides, would determine my next step. I know she has feelings for me too, I just hope her past doesn't cloud the present.
