I Am A Vampire?

"Why are you so forgetful? You starred in a vampire movie twice when you were still an actress and yet you still cannot recognise one when you see it. And here I thought you look so good as a vampire," the voice spoke sounding disappointed.

"She is a vampire?" Stephanie asked in disbelief. Just then about five beautiful ladies dressed in black entered the strange lady's room. After bowing down to her, they all moved to the bed.

Immediately the ladies pulled off the blankets, Stephanie was stunned when she saw four men lying lifelessly on the huge bed.

"Is she a prostitute? Can't just one man satisfies her desires...," Stephanie covered her mouth with both palms when she saw tooth marks on their bodies.

"Did.... did..... Did she just suck all their blood? Is she even a human? How could she do this cruel thing to people," Stephanie said losing interest in the video playing on the wall.

"That is who she is? She is not a human but a blood-sucking animal?" The voice said. "She is undeniably the most beautiful of them all but no man dares covet her because of her cruelty and that of her parents. Any man who dares to craves her ends up becoming her food. She and her parents are the evilest fellows the world has ever produced".

"And here I thought she looks like me. I take back my word. This cruel vampire lady does not look like me. I am neither a vampire nor heartless like her," Stephanie quickly rejected.

"I bet this movie is your favourite movie right? Sorry to say this but I hate heartless wench like her so I will stop watching the movie," Stephanie said vehemently.

"Who said what is happening here is a movie like you humans call it?" The voice asked coldly. "And also who told you that you are not a vampire?"

"I am a vampire?" Stephanie asked in bewilderment when she heard the voice utterances. "Of course, you and I know that is not possible. How can I be a vampire? I bet you are just spewing rubbish to scare me," Stephanie snapped back sharply in her defence. She was surprised when she realised she was already on her feet.

"I am sorry for sounding so rude earlier. It was wrong of you to say that I was a vampire when I am a human. People say, Vampires, werewolf and witches are just legends. They don't exist and besides legends said the traits of a vampire show when the baby is a child but that is not the case with me so how could you say a 26 years old lady like me is a vampire?" Stephanie asked, slowly sitting down.

After witnessing and hearing all the creepy things she just heard, the room became so uncomfortable for her. At the moment she just wanted to leave the Mansion.

"And you believe what the humans said?" The voice asked coldly.

"Yes, I do believe them because I am one of them. Also, I have never set my eyes on vampires, witches or werewolves before so why she should I believe such creepy beings exist? If ever they were to exist, the humans would have killed them all," Stephanie said trying to sound bold but the voice could see through her fears.

"I can't believe staying with humans for such a long time has made you so foolish like them. Humans always believe in the stupid philosophy that seeing is believing that is why thousands of them are falling victims in the hands of the evil forces lurking in the dark," the voice mocked.

"Tell me, Michelle Sampson, what will you do if one day you woke up and realise that the neighbour you always thought was harmless is a vampire who lives on human blood daily for its survival?" The voiced asked sternly.

"Or let me reverse the question. What will you do if you wake up one day and find out that you a vampire whom you detest?" The voice asked.

Stephanie whose such thoughts had never crossed her mind could not give the strange voice a reply.

How could the strange voice ask her such a ridiculous question? Why does she need to think about such an impossible occurrence? She is a human, she can never be a bloodsucker. Never!

"Seeing you in deep thoughts, I guess you couldn't come up with an answer," the voice said. The strange lady's voice who's tone sounded so cold earlier became so mellowed. It was as if the voice knew the state of a mess that Stephanie's thought was in.

"Let me continue with your past life story. You might be able to come up with an answer after you finish listening to this heartwrenching story of yours?" The voice said. She talked as if Stephanie had a choice to reject her offer.
