Gabriel Was Eager To Know Whether He Stands A Chance To Win Her Heart

He was aware of the fact that Stephanie has someone dear to her so she has never kept close contact with her male admirers because she was afraid of unintentionally hurting them. She wouldn't have agreed to be his friend if she had known that he had a crush on her.

"You are right but I have made up my mind to give to him a chance. I am tired of searching for someone whom I am not sure to exist," Stephanie said changing directions. She walked towards the right corner of the hall.

Her words left Gabriel astonished. "Stephanie has given up on her quest to find her first love? This is so unbelievable, " Gabriel thought, staring at her moving figure.

"Why are you standing there in a daze? Aren't you accompanying me to search for him again?" Stephanie who noticed that Gabriel wasn't following her again asked staring at him.

"As long as we find him, I promise I won't stay mad at you so come on let's continue with our search, hmm" Stephanie urged him on. She walked back to where he was standing.

"Will you give him your heart and also your body too?" Gabriel blurted out to the astonishment of Stephanie. She did not understand why Gabriel seem so affected by her decision.

"If I get to fall in love with him why not? I will not only give him my body and my heart but also my soul. Whosoever makes me forget him completely. I will give such a person my all, " Stephanie said seriously. Through her gaze, Gabriel knew she meant every word she said.

"That means it is not only restricted to Clark right?" Gabriel asked nervously. He wanted to know whether he and every other man also stood a chance to fight for her heart.

"What are you talking about, Gabi? You are confusing me, " Stephanie said holding onto his hands. She did not know why there were talking about her when they were searching for someone she holds an apology to.

"I mean to say, any man who makes you forget him stands a chance to win your heart, right? It is not only Clark that stands the chance right?" Gabriel insisted. He refused to move an inch except Stephanie answers his question.

"Why do you care so much about that? I would have mistaken you for a weirdo if you were not my best friend. You are acting so strange with your many questions."

"Just answer my question, Ok?" Gabriel said firmly. The sudden change in his mood reminded Stephanie about what Gabrielle said about Gabriel having multiple personalities.

"Yes, any man stands a chance to win my heart, " Stephanie said giving him a suspicious glare. "Are you satisfied now?" Stephanie asked seeing his lips curled into a tiny smile.

"Mhm..., " Gabriel trailed shaking his head affirmatively.

"Can we continue now? We might miss him because of you, " Stephanie said pulling him along with her.

"Why do you care so much about him? Just like Lily had said there is a possibility that he has left so you don't have to waste your time searching for him. It is his fault for living hastily not yours," Gabriel said after they search the parking lounge but they still could not find Clark.

"Of course it's my fault for going back on my words. I know he must very hurt that I forgot everything about him when it isn't even up to twenty-four hours since he relayed his intentions about attending the event to me," Stephanie said. She felt so guilty and terrible for hurting the guy who abandoned everything and came to the event with the hopes of meeting her.

"I guess he realises that you don't like him that is why he left and I am glad he realises that early," Gabriel said beaming.

"Gabi, don't be mean. He is a nice guy, he doesn't deserve this kind of treatment from me," Stephanie chided. "And I think you should get used to me talking about him because I am thinking of getting into a serious relationship with him," Stephanie added before she made to go back into the hall but Gabriel obstructed her path.

"You are thinking of dating him? But you don't know him too well so why do you want to date him and besides I don't think he has all the qualities you seek for in your ideal man," Gabriel said looking so displeased. A moment ago he thought since the guy left that Stephanie will forget everything about him but hearing that she wants to court him upsets him.

"You don't have to worry about that, I will slowly get to know him after we start dating and about the qualities I seek for in a man I don't mind reducing my standards for the man I love...,"

"But you don't love him so why do you have to go to such extents for him? He doesn't deserve you," Gabriel interrupted sharply.

"Not yet but that doesn't mean I will not love him," Stephanie replied throwing him weird glances. She did not understand why Gabriel was suddenly interrogating her about her private life especially about how she feels about Clark.

"But...,"

"No but, Ok? I have made up my mind and that is final," Stephanie said with a tone of finality.

"Why do I feel like you are making a big mistake by giving a guy whom you met once such importance? You only met him once for crying out loud, so think twice before you decide on what to do with him," Gabriel insisted.

"I never knew you were such a nag? I would have spank you hard for nagging me if you were my little brother," Stephanie said heading towards the hall again but Gabriel's voice stopped her from walking further.

"Didn't you inform Lily earlier that you were heading home so why are you still heading into the hall again?" Gabriel asked staring at her.

"Oh...," Stephanie remarked in realisation. "I forgot," Stephanie said heading back to where she stood previously.

"Let's go in my car. I will drop you off," Gabriel accompanied her to where he parked his car. Stephanie gracefully climbed into the car. After putting on their seatbelts, Gabriel zoomed off. Fifteen minutes into their ride Gabriel spoke up.

"Hey I completely forgot to ask about something very important," Gabriel said delightedly.

"About what?" Stephanie asked focusing her attention on him.
