Future steps

The entire capital was in buzz at the return of emperor and the crown prince couple from the hunt. The court was much calmer with the new people in charges. There wasn't any special report to present so the court was dismissed earlier.

Yusheng was in her villa preparing to invite all the elders and general yan for it had been too long they had met. She also had some things to discuss so after writing two letters she sent them to their respective places.

She was about to sit for lunch when both Pei brothers arrived. Thus the three of them had their lunch with Pei brothers bickering now and then.

Sipping on digestive tea Yusheng informs "tomorrow I have set a little feast for yan family and elders of valley...Jin I am hoping to discuss about the iron ore matter why don't you come with minister Chen... also Zhang'er starting from the day after I will raise your strength be prepared.. you have to reside and cultivate inside the biju forest for about 2 weeks.."

Pei Jin nods "okay.. I will come with uncle..Yu'er have you written back to huajin?"

Yusheng shakes her head " not yet.. may be the day after.. let them dangle around for a day more.. more importantly Jin i think we have to start preparation for Caimin, Green Wind and Baidu cities for winter... though the situation seems good but winter will hit hard on these cities as the resource is already scarce.."

Pei Jin nods "I was also of same mind.. and the preparation has been started... I am also planning to raise the strength of the army with a capable General in charge"

"Hmm.. indeed we also have this matter to settle.. seems like we will have much to discuss tomorrow..."replies Yusheng.

Pei Zhang who was busy eating snacks is glared and scolded by his brother "why are you eating like having been starved for years?..and why did you come here in the first place?"

Pei Zhang puts backs the snack which he was about to put in his mouth and without looking at his brother replies to Yusheng pitifully "sister in law.. I was thinking of visiting the fighting arena.. if you want I can take you there.. the place is fun and exciting not to forget the dishes there are also very good.."

Without waiting for Yusheng to answer Pei Jin roars "you little... trying to crook your sister in laws mind ah.. what fun it's just a place where rowdy people gather.. good .. good .. wait for benwang to have it uprooted by today.."

Yusheng puts her hand on her forehead tired then giving a sigh she pats his hand gently "now.. now why are you breathing fire..though I haven't been there but have heard about it... it is not that bad like you said.. in fact we may indeed find some hidden gems.. also we might hear something interesting there who knows.. these places sometimes do give suprises...do not worry we will be fine"

Pei Jin didn't want to rebuff her this could only glare at his brother whose chest was puffed up to show his victory. He snarls "see.. how benwang will peel your skin layer by layer.. if heard anything happened to your sister in law... "

With the matter settled Pei Jin says some sweet words leaving to the piled up work he had yet to finish but not before giving that home chiling glare. While Pei Zhang felt out of the cage with his brother gone and immediately snitches to Yusheng "sister in law.. ah... brother is so petty... his pettiness is increasing by miles these days... you have to keep him in check or I fear in time even stepping a foot will be difficulty for you at this rate.."

Yusheng too felt that this matter was indeed true thus nodding solemnly she answers "hmm.. indeed..your brother's mood swings a lot.. I shall have a nice chat with him later about the issue"

Pei Zhang was laughing inside his heart for having been able to dig a pit for his own brother than gleefully takes Yusheng to the fighting arena.
