Beautiful Facade
Currently Pei Jin was in his own carriage shared with his brother while Yusheng was in her owns with Xiaoqing. There long line of carriages were right infront of the capital gates in grandeur.
Qingfeng and Chen yi's were placed first and second followed by Pei Jin then Yusheng and so on. There party was grandly welcomed by the cheering of crowds and long line of emperor with his entrouge.
With the mark and exotic looking one it was clear which was Yusheng's carriage. Emperor quick on his feet stops before the entrance of Yusheng's carriage and speaks very humbly "esteem lord of the valley welcome to huajin...it is an honour and fortune of huajin and this emperor to have you on our lands..."
Yusheng gives nod to Xiaoqing who then removes the curtain. Emperor couldn't help but awe at the young figure whose beauty and composure didn't give justice to what he heard. His thought was interrupted with that soft yet firm voice
"Emperor...for you to leave your Jade throne just to welcome this lord..is giving more than enough face...likewise this lord thinks it was in fate for this lord to be in huajin...emperor though it gladdens this lords heart and spirit for having received by you personally... it is not appropriate for you to leave the jade throne for a long period..this lord is already here and we will have plenty of time to chat.."
With Yusheng's acknowledgement and polite gesture emperor becomes happy and agrees on her each words. His hope to connect an amiable relation with her leaps in his heart. Thus after some polite words both parties leave towards there destination with emperor's personal eunuch and General Hao as the guide.
On the way Yusheng could see the beautiful city decorated grandly with celebratory colours and wonderful smell of various flowers through her heaven silk curtain...the excitement of crowd flanking them left and right...it was undoubtedly a grand welcome with nothing to be picky on.
Though polite words but Nanling also gained a big face from this incident. Pei Zhang who was sitting opposite to his brother asks "was he really that eager for to have come to welcome personally?..it seems a bit far fetched...what do you think brother?"
Pei Jin smirks "yes and no...his greed to gain favor has indeed made him happy to have her in huajin..but the matter of welcoming in person is his way of showing his sincerity..and a way of trying to mend the hole that his daughter dug back then..like father like son..beautiful facade with rotten core...forget them just be well behaved...benwang won't help you clean your mess and if somehow you implicate your sister in law then tighten you skin for I will have it peeled.." finishes Pei Jin.
Finally they reached to their temporary residence for their stay in huajin. They were impressed by huajins preparation as the residence was very grand befitting the royals. For Yusheng it was even more grand as the place for her as even within the same compound hers was the biggest mansion.
After the briefing the party of their residences the people of huajin left from the vicinity without even getting a peek of any of the masters. Though they felt slighted and humiliated still kept that polite and smiley face till the end.
After the big gates were closed only then did all of them stepped down from their carriages. Qingfeng was cracking his bones here and there for he felt his entire body was stiff. While Pei Zhang was bubbling with excitement.
Chen Yi as the oldest and eldest had started to give orders to check through the vicinity for any possible dangers and series of works to servants. While Pei Jin was already attached to Yusheng and checking on her for any discomfort.
Zhu geng, Tao and Xiaoqing immediately took charge to settle down the things and prepare for their masters comfort while Zan and liu bai worked on their security and scouting of the place.
As the servants brought were not your normal servants but men and women who worked as warriors and spies there hands and feet's were quick and nimble. After the confirmation of nothing suspicious finally everyone entered the residence.
