Meanwhile, after the lesson concluded, Eveline and Alex rose up to leave.
"Are you going to the library?" Alex inquired as he watched her load her items.
"No, Gabriel won't be tutoring me today, he needs to head to the police station as they found a lead regarding the culprit," Eveline mumbled normally.
Alex's face drained of blood as soon as she said those words.
"Lead?" he mumbled.
"Yes, so he postponed the plan," she murmured casually, her eyes fixed on the shift in his facial expression.
"What happened? Why does your face look pale suddenly?" she inquired.
Alex quickly snapped out of his thoughts and ran his hand through his hair.
"I am suddenly not feeling well. I should go." he said.
Eveline nodded silently and watched him leave at the speed of a bullet.
His departure interrupted Eveline's smile, and she pulled out her phone to alert Gabriel of everything before leaving the classroom.
