The Spiny Boar

Kito came to a sudden halt, his heart pounding as if it were about to explode. He carefully examined the creature standing before him. It resembled a wild boar, but its eyes shone with a sinister glow, and its fangs dripping with saliva seemed ready to tear his flesh apart. On its back, strange spines protruded from its skin, as if they were an integral part of its body.

Kito knew that caution was necessary, but he couldn't help but feel a certain fascination for this creature he had never seen before. He wondered if it was a more powerful monster than those he had fought so far. Could he defeat it, or should he use the teleportation sphere his grandfather had given him?

He decided to look at the beast's stats:

What had happened the previous times happened once again. A new quest appeared:

"Quest: Kill 10 Spiny Boars. Reward: 1500 exp, random equipment."

Kito quickly analyzed the situation and estimated that he had a chance of defeating this monster, even though it wouldn't be easy. The monster had a lot of strength, defense, and life, but it was very slow and couldn't use magic.

He got into a combat stance and cast his "Earth Bullet" spell at the Spiny Boar, to chip away at its health.

The earth bullet formed quickly in his hand and was forcefully launched towards the creature. The projectile violently struck the boar's flank, causing it to grunt in pain.

The Spiny Boar then charged at Kito, its eyes filled with rage. Kito barely dodged the beast's charge, feeling its deadly fangs brush against his skin. He took the opportunity to cast another "Earth Bullet," this time aiming at the monster's hind legs.

The spell hit its target, causing the creature to stumble. Kito took advantage of the situation to get closer to the Spiny Boar and deliver a sword strike to its flank. The blade sunk deeply into its flesh, eliciting a piercing scream from the monster.

The Spiny Boar quickly got back on its feet, despite its injury, and charged at Kito once more. This time, having learned from their previous encounter, Kito waited until the last moment to dodge to the side. The beast sped past him, its spines grazing the young man dangerously.

Kito knew he had to keep his distance to avoid the animal's attacks. He quickly retreated and cast his only spell again, aiming it at the Spiny Boar.

The spell hit the creature head-on, leaving several gashes on its body. The Spiny Boar growled in pain and anger but didn't falter. It charged at Kito once more, with increased speed and determination.

Kito managed to dodge the attack just in time but felt a sharp pain in his leg. He glanced down and saw a deep gash caused by the monster's spines. He needed to end this battle quickly, or he risked succumbing to his injuries.

He focused and cast his earth spell at the Spiny Boar, aiming specifically at its right eye. After the spell hit the boar, it screamed in pain and stopped momentarily. Kito had already anticipated this and appeared behind the boar, bringing his sword down on the monster with all his strength.

The Spiny Boar, severely wounded, tried to get back up, but Kito didn't give it the chance. He quickly approached the beast and delivered a final sword strike, ending the monster's life.

"Congratulations on defeating your first Spiny Boar (lvl 12). Exp gained: 200."

Kito was very pleased, but before celebrating his victory, he decided to use the potion that would allow him to regenerate his health. He poured it on his wound, and it instantly healed.

Kito sighed in relief as he saw his wound disappear. He felt much more confident and ready to face other Spiny Boars to complete his quest. However, he knew he had to be careful and not take too many risks. As usual, he collected the monster's core and its body.

He set out to find more Spiny Boars, while remaining alert to his surroundings. After covering some distance, Kito spotted another one of these monsters. He prepared to attack it, keeping in mind the lessons he had learned from his previous battle.

Days passed, and as Kito defeated more Spiny Boars, he realized that their weakness was their slowness and inability to use magic. He decided to adapt his strategy accordingly, using more ranged spells and staying constantly on the move to avoid the beasts' charges.

As the battles went on, Kito gained experience and skill. He learned to better anticipate the movements of the Spiny Boars and exploit their weaknesses. He felt increasingly strong and confident.

Finally, after defeating the tenth Spiny Boar a few weeks later, Kito received the notification that he had successfully completed his quest:

"Congratulations on completing the 'Kill 10 Spiny Boars' quest! Exp gained: 1500. A random piece of equipment will be awarded to you."

Kito felt a surge of energy fill him, a sign that he had gained experience and had probably leveled up. He decided to check his stats and saw with joy that not only had he leveled up, but he had also gained new attribute points to distribute. He thought for a moment about the best way to use them before allocating them to his main stats.

As for the promised random equipment, Kito received a pair of boots with golden engraved patterns. Upon examining their stats, he noticed that they provided additional dexterity, which would increase his agility and speed. They also had a unique feature that multiplied his dexterity points by 1.2. Very happy, Kito decided to return home to rest a bit and visit his grandfather. The old man had told him the day before that he had some interesting things to give him, so Kito was very curious to find out what they were!
