Kito couldn't help but smile upon seeing the skills of his new companion. Even though it was still weak, he felt it had great potential. Moreover, its ability to camouflage in shadows could prove very useful. As he approached the little dragon, a new window appeared.

"How do you wish to name your companion?"

After a few seconds of thought, an idea sprung to his mind. "Lysar, I'll call him Lysar."

At that moment, the small black creature emitted a cute little roar, as if to signify its appreciation of the name. The little dragon seemed full of energy, and when Kito stepped towards it, it licked his finger. He couldn't help but laugh at Lysar's affection. Deep down, a bond, though weak, seemed to have formed between the two. Watching his familiar play around him, he promised himself to do everything to protect it. But one question arose. How could he walk around with his dragon without drawing attention? For now, he didn't want others to know.

At the same time, he felt his ring activate, and his AI told him:

"Your ring allows you to create a dimensional space for your familiar to flourish. For now, you are still weak, so this space will be limited, both in size and what composes it. Currently, this space extends over 1 km, with meadows, some trees, and a small stream. Increase your level and mana to expand this space."

Kito was delighted, this was perfect timing! He could have his companion always near him without others noticing.

Approaching Lysar, he said: "I'm sorry, I know you just hatched, but we'll have to part ways for a while as I go to the forest. But it won't be long!"

The dragon nodded its head, as if it understood.

Right after, the dragon was teleported into this dimension, provided by the ring.

After having a hearty breakfast, Kito prepared to set out for a new adventure. With Lysar by his side, Kito headed towards the forest, ready to face new monsters.

On the way, seeing no one around, Kito decided to let Lysar out.

Lysar let out a playful squeak, making Kito smile. They seemed to be on the same wavelength, as if they were meant to be together. The dragon happily played with Kito's shadow, moving from one shadow to another, as if dancing between darkness and light.

"Lysar, you're an amazing dragon," Kito said, gently caressing the dark dragon's head.

Lysar purred in response, delighted with the affection and recognition from his master.

They arrived near the entrance to Kito's lair. He decided to show it to Lysar.

"If you ever find yourself in trouble, don't hesitate to take refuge here. For some unknown reason, no monster comes within 300 meters of this place. Let's take the opportunity to visit the interior while your size allows it."

Kito went down with the little dragon perched on his shoulders.

After a quick tour of the area, they went back up, intending to explore the forest. Kito wanted to initiate Lysar into combat by facing it against were-rabbits. They set off in search of these fierce creatures and, after some time spent exploring, they found one.

Kito was about to teach Lysar how to fight, but the little dragon, as if guided by natural instinct, leaped toward the were-rabbit. Kito watched, anxious and ready to intervene at any moment. As the were-rabbit prepared to bite Lysar, the dragon vanished into the shadows and reappeared behind its opponent. It delivered a powerful bite, defeating the rabbit with its Dark Bite. Without wasting time, Lysar followed up with claw strikes and a second bite.

The were-rabbit lay on the ground, lifeless. Lysar had just proven that it was not only cute but also a formidable fighter.

Kito stood there, amazed and proud. Together, they continued exploring the forest, battling other were-rabbits and accumulating experience for Lysar, who quickly reached level 2.

Kito noticed that although his companion's strategies were quite basic, for a newborn, it seemed rather naturally gifted in that regard. Moreover, its level was still very low, and he couldn't imagine what it would become!

For the time being, Kito stayed behind, allowing Lysar to continue hunting while he kept an eye on the surrounding monsters and made sure nothing bad happened. The young dragon seemed to take immense pleasure in the hunt.

Over the following days, the two companions returned to the forest, hunting day after day, and Lysar's level gradually increased. Kito's level, on the other hand, only increased a little, but seeing the young dragon's abilities, he took the time to gather materials and ingredients for continuing his alchemy. He had told Lysar not to venture too far and only fight were-rabbits for now. He wanted Lysar to learn strategies gradually by itself and thought it was safe to do so.

Meanwhile, Kito dedicated himself to alchemy, seeking ways to improve his own body. He thought about the possibility of optimizing it and first considered eliminating the impurities that accumulated within him. The battles, stress, and food quality could potentially have a harmful effect, leaving waste in his system. He decided to find a way to purify his body. Maybe by eliminating these toxins, his body would function better and allow him to fully exploit his potential.

Kito spent hours studying the plants and minerals of the forest, searching for the perfect ingredients to create a purification elixir.

A first lead was beginning to emerge from this research. He hoped to achieve his goal in the next few days. Maybe he didn't have all the ingredients yet? So he continued to collect new ingredients while Lysar had fun exploring the surroundings and continuing to hunt, while feeding himself at the same time.

Then, finally, Kito managed to reach his goal.
