You can’t escape

Nu Wan blushed as she turned her face away, his dirty jokes and light hearted words completely made the fact that he was holding her against her will look like a different situation.

Like whistle, Ling Xiaoting heard something fly past his ear he immediately paused and looked around.

"I'll go feed my hellhounds, this is your room. We can continue this conversation when I get back.."

With that Ling Xiaoting turned gave her a pouty smile like he was unwilling to leave and disappear.

Nu Wan eyes widened in shock when she saw Ling Xiaoting disappear right in front of her eyes. But now was not the time to be blinded by shock, she immediately turned around and dashed out of the hallway heading to the stairs.

Meanwhile Ling Xiaoting appeared at the back of the house, there were two 5ft tall dog houses where the hellhounds were kept.

His expression turned chilly and a frown appeared on his lips when he saw the green slime on the ground trailing towards the dog house.

He crouched down dipping his fingers into the green slime and bringing it to his nose.

His hissed in disgust—"Tsk! Spines, I didn't think those disgusting creatures would dare find their way into my den.."

Ling Xiating shook his fingers, the slime flying out next he brought out an handkerchief wiping his fingers clean before burning the handkerchief to dust.

"Ye Gu!"

Ling Xiaoting called out his name summoning the beta dragon before him.

"Master you sent for me?.."

Ye Gu bowed and waited to hear the reason why Ling Xiaoting called him. From his peripheral view he could see the green slime on the ground and understood why Ling Xiaoting was here.

"The spines are here master, I thought it would another few years for them to building up courage I didn't think it would be this early.."

Ling Xiaoting nodded he knew they would come but not this early why did they suddenly decide to attack now.

"F**k it's so clear now, why didn't I remember this earlier. Finding the reincarnation of that pesky goddess means the start of my 10 above the clouds tribulation, the spines rank number 10.."

Ling Xiaoting chuckled this was his first time he seen Ye Gu with any other expression.

Things were definitely getting less boring now.

With Talongs ranking 1st followed by Zephons, Fangs, the problem with fangs was that they were actual humans with inhumane abilities specifically for killing dragons next they had Turks and Wudune.

Ye Gu shivered slightly, the sheer sight of the Zephons was enough to give a grown man nightmares with how terrifying they looked.

"Where's the girl? If spines are here master then they must have sensed her presence.."

Ling Xiaoting closed his eyes and searched the eyes, he remembered leaving her in the hallway but he doubt that little thing would take in one place.

"She's gone, she ran back to her apartment. I'll bring her back while you take care of those filthy spines and get Ye Qiang to help you, he's just a beta black dragon and he dislikes light more than me.."

"Well master, Qiang's case is a bit sensitive, he's like a failed experiment to the elder gods and that's why they tossed him to you. Light and the sun itself burns his skin so he can only hide in the shadows.."

Ye Gu smiled a bit protective of his younger brother, Ling Xiaoting nodded and waved him off.

"Then get Xue Bai to help you.." he said as he turned around and disappeared.

Nu Wan walked down the stairs cautiously, she looked around for any potential threat but the house was completely empty, she quickened her steps and ran out of the house.

This was the last obstacle to her freedom.

Nu Wan paused looking around for anything potential threats or even Ling Xiaoting but after waiting the two minutes the yard was still completely empty.

This was her chance to run, she took a deep breath and ran, running as fast as her her legs could take her and soon she was out of the man.

She smiled, she had finally escaped that madman's clutches. Perhaps it was all a dream and she would make up soon but before that.

She would move out from the capital and a find a quieter city to live in.

Nu Wan ran as fast as she could until she saw a taxi, she waved her hands happily.

She had been saved!

"Dongcheng district please.."

The driver nodded and Nu Wan got into the car, she took a deep breath when the car started moving.

She would go home and pack her things, she wanted it to be a dream but Ling Xiaoting, his touch and his gaze was as real as ever. So it was better not to deceive herself that it was all a dream and instead sharpen her mind.

Minutes later she got down from the taxi and paid the driver, she was glad the small money stuffed in a compact hair pin, it was made for situations like this.

Nu Wan realized the driver was still there and specifically he was staring at her.

A little wind blew and she shiver which immediately made her body stiffen as the realization dawned her.

When Ling Xiaoting tore off clothes, she didn't actually wear anything and she had been following him around in her underwear.

She showed the driver her middle finger and dashed into the apartment.

Luckily for here, the district was quiet during the day so no one saw her.

"That bastard Ling Xiaoting!"

She immediately rushed to closet and picked a new gown to wear. She also retrieve her passport, stuffed some clothes into a traveling bag. She placed her phone, cards and some cash into a small purse.

She did a brief checklist of all the things she needed. Right now her passport was the most important.

"I just need to book a flight.."

"Why book a flight when I can carry you there..."

She closed her eyes, knowing Ling Xiaoting had found his way to her apartment but she was too scared to turn back.
