Visit

Shun left soon after talking with Kaitani and headed back home.

On the way, he stopped by the market and bought some groceries that his mom asked him to buy.

He walked the same route he always did and reached home early because he didn't participate in the practice.

Shun got home and stocked the cupboard with the groceries that he bought.

After that, he went to the bathroom and turned the tap to fill up the tub for a bath.

While the tub was filling, he washed the lunch box he took to school.

Then he went to the bathroom to take a good bath.

After taking a bath, he did his daily self-study at home and ended it after one and a half hours later.

Shun closed his books and notebooks and finally allowed his back lean into the backrest of the chair.

Shun: "Hmm... well, that is over. What should I do know?"

Shun thought of the things he could do.

Shun: "Watch TV, read something, should I clean my room, or maybe I should fold the laundry.

Okay, I should fold clothes while watching TV."

Shun packed up his books and headed downstairs, just as he reached the ground floor, he heard the doorbell ring.

He headed to the door and wondered who it was. He switched his home slipper with his outdoor slippers and looked through the peephole in the door.

Outside the door stood Satsuki in casual clothes.

Shun opened the door and greeted Satsuki.

Shun: "Hey."

Satsuki looked at Shun to check his expression. Shun smiled as he understood what Satsuki was doing.

Shun: "Come on in, and you don't have to worry about the incident at the finals. It was nobody's fault."

Satsuki let out a sigh of relief and thought.

Satsuki: 'Phew, it seems he is not angry. I was afraid that he would be angry about what happened.'

Shun led Satsuki to the living room and asked.

Shun: "So, what would you like to drink? Hot, cold, juice, tea, coffee."

Satsuki shook her head and said.

Satsuki: "No, it is alright. I don't need anything."

Shun smiled and replied.

Shun: "My choice then. Wait for a moment. I will be back in a jiffy."

Shun exited the room before Satsuki could stop him.

Satsuki sighed and looked around the room nervously. She saw photos hanging on the wall, she stood up and walked to them, to get a proper look.

She saw a lot of family pictures, and there were a lot of them from Shun's preteen years.

Satsuki: "He looks so small. Aww, So cute."

Satsuki looked at a photo of Shun and his father fishing near a pond, a photo of Shun and his parents on his first day at elementary school, a photo of a little Shun in his mother's arms kissing her on the cheek, and a lot of other family photos.

Satsuki found herself smiling as she looked at the smiling Shun in the photos that represented many happy memories.

As she was looking at the photos, Shun returned to the room, but Satsuki didn't notice him and kept looking at the photographs.

Shun noticed Satsuki, who was near the photos. He silently set the tray down on the table and sneaked behind her.

He smiled mischievously and leaned closed to Satsuki and said.

Shun: "What are you looking at?"

Satsuki let out a cute squeal, startled from Shun, suddenly sneaking up on her.

She turned to see a beaming Shun behind her. She raised her fist and hit Shun on his shoulder.

Satsuki: "That scared me! Why would you do that?!"

Shun laughed off the soft hit attempt and said.

Shun: "Sorry, sorry. You looked so focused that I had to mess with you. Now, come on, and take a seat."

Satsuki puffed her cheeks and sat on the couch and looked at the drink Shun had prepared.

She looked at Shun and asked.

Satsuki: "What is this?"

Shun picked up one of the glasses and set it on a coaster in front of Satsuki, and replied.

Shun: "The name is Glow Water. It is seltzer water with cucumbers, sprigs mint, and lemon in it. It has a cool refreshing after taste to it."

Satsuki picked up her glass and took a sip. Her face brightened as she exclaimed.

Satsuki: "This is nice! You are right. It really has a refreshing after taste."

Shun also took a sip from his glass and asked.

Shun: "So, what brings you here today?"

Satsuki froze and carefully put the glass back on the coaster.

She nervously glanced at Shun as she fiddled with her fingers.

Satsuki: "Uhm... I wanted to check how you were doing..."

Shun put up a soft smile on his face and said.

Shun: "I am feeling fine. I will go back to operating at full capacity tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, it definitely won't be later than the day after tomorrow.

So relax, and as I said earlier, I don't blame anyone for my collapse."

Shun thought of something and said.

Shun: "I noticed that Teiko knew the players move patterns that we didn't show throughout the tournament. I am guessing that was your contribution."

Satsuki looked at him and said.

Satsuki: "Eh. Ah, yes. I precited the growth of Tokiwadai's players."

Shun showed a thumbs-up to her and said.

Shun: *Sigh* "Your ability is seriously a cheat. Teiko is seriously lucky to have you."

Satsuki blushed at the compliment.

Satsuki: "Thank you."

Then Shun and Satsuki heard a voice from near the entrance of the house. They recognized the voice as Shun's mom.

Mom: "Shun, do we have guests?"

Shun shouted back to his mother.

Shun: "Satsuki-chan has come to visit."

Satsuki realized that she didn't think about Shun's parents and thought.

Satsuki: 'We were alone?!'

Her blushed deepened to deep red.

Shun's mom entered the living room and greeted Satsuki.

Mom: "Welcome, Satsuki-chan. I hope Shun took care of you..."

Shun's mom trailed at the end of the sentence as she saw Satsuki's blushing face.

She smiled and put a hand in front of her mouth and said.

Mom: "Fufu~, it seems I am disturbing something. You kids enjoy yourselves, I will not intrude any further.

I need to tell this to Hana, she would be so excited! Fufufu~."

Satsuki's face was now steaming, and she said in a hurry.

Satsuki: "Mrs. Kageyama! It is nothing like that!"

Shun looked at Satsuki's right face and then recalled his mother's words. He put two and two together and the thoughts connected.

His eyes widened, he too turned to his mom and tried to clear the misunderstanding.

Shun: "Mom! What are you thinking?! Nothing happened, please don't misunderstand!"

Shun's mom didn't say anything, she just smiled and walked away while humming a cheerful tune.

Shun tried to call out to her.

Shun: "Mom! Mom! MOM! Please listen!"

But alas, Shun's mom didn't say anything, only the voice of her happy chuckle sounded back to the pair.

Shun turned back to Satsuki, and both of them just sat in awkward silence.

After a moment, Satsuki stood up and said.

Satsuki: "I should return home."

Shun also stood up and said.

Shun: "I will see you out."

Both of them walked to the door, and Shun opened the door.

Satsuki walked outside and turned back to Shun.

Satsuki: "Good Night."

Shun nodded and replied back.

Shun: "Good Night."

Satsuki nodded and then walked away, but she turned immediately and asked.

Satsuki: "Uhm... in the summer vacation, would you like to go out. As friends, I mean."

Satsuki added the last line in a hurry.

Shun blanked for a moment, before replying.

Shun: "That sounds great. Yeah, let's do that."

They both say their goodbyes, and when they both turned away from each other, they had big smiles on their face.
