Anger

Two days had gone by in a flash. Ad hadn't entered the Dungeon since his date with Iman. He also wasn't able to talk with Misha, as she was busy with helping the Ganesha Familia organice the Monster Feria.

Hestia wasn't around either. She had said earlier that she was visiting Hephaestus, but Ad knew her real purpose. She wanted to pick his weapon up and give it to him herself. Hephaestus had, at some point, called Hestia over, which led Ad to think the weapon he was getting would be similar to the Hestia Knife Bell got.

Knowing what was bound to happen in the Monster Feria, Ad left the Hearth Manor to walk around the city. In a matter of minutes, he foind himself in the area where the Silverback would be freed. He watched the espectacle to kill time and, at some point, a scream was heard.

Ad rushed to the place and found the Silverback running after Hestia, who had a sword hugged tightly to her body. Without thinking, he rushed towards her, passing the Silverback easily with his speed.

When he reached his Goddess, he picked her up in a princess carry and jumped above one of the buildings.

Adalwulf: Hestia-sama, you shoud be more careful.

Hestia: Why? I never doubted my Ad-kun would save me.

Adalwulf: *sigh* Is that my sword?

The petite Goddess nodded her head affirmatively. She took the sword out of it's package and presented it to her beloved. The guard was pitch black inscribed with runes that, in his language, were read as "Fenrís Synd". Fenrir's Sin. That was the name of the blade.

It had the shape of a chinese sword, a guard with the shape of a wolf's mouth swallowing the blade. The eyes of the wolf shined with a teal energy. The hilt was also pitch black, being decorated by a white cord. As soon as he grabbed it, he felt a connection to the weapon.

Feeling contented with the quality of the blade, Ad jumped down from the building. The next thing he did was put up a espectacle, so the people would be able to enjoy at least a little part of the Monster Feria.

Activating his Shadow Trigger, Ad began to do different stunts of pure flexibility and acrobatics. From twisting around the Silverback's attack to jumping between shadow in flashy ways, he pleased the crowd.

He looked at his blade once he had decided to end the monster and, to his surprise, it had kept most of it's appearance. The wolf head guard became a bit bigger and more menacing and the blade was now of pitch black colour. The entire blade took on the same highlighting colour from his clothing, teal.

Looking at the Silverback, he smirked. He began a slash that would've cut nothing but air, only to teleport midway behing the Silverback, effectively cutting the back of its knee.

Now incapacitated, it had no way of stopping Ad from jumping on its head and piercing it with his blade.

After a few seconds, the crowd was able to process all that had happened, and began whistling and clapping at him. He gave them a smile and bowed, as if it had all been a show from the beginning.

When he lifted his head, he had to catch Hestia, who had jumped on him from the top of the building he had left her at. While he hugged his Goddess, he caught sight of something that turned all the air around him cold.

Hestia could feel it. It was something she had never felt from her Ad-kun. Something that somehow scared even her, a Goddess. It was anger. Not just any sort of anger. It was an anger that promised death.

She looked in the direction he was aiming that chilling hatred, and saw a person talking to another shady-looking man. The man had a tattoo on his hand, one that Hestia recognized. It was Laverna's Emblem.

She wondered why Ad would hate a man from her Familia so much, but decided to ask later, as it might be something very personal. Still, she felt that it wasn't something related to him directly, as she couldn't think of any possible interaction between him and the Laverna Familia.

After the Monster Feria was over, Ganesha himself had thanked Ad for his help in keeping the situation under control, and even making it look like it was planned. His Captain, Shakti, prepared a sum of 200,000 Valis for him, as the service he had done to their Familia was equal to saving their reputation.

According to Shakti, hadn't he intervened, their Familia would be over.

Back at the Hearth Manor, Ad was still in a bad mood. His entire demeanor turning cold, and his mind overwhelmed with only one thought.

Adalwulf: 'I will erase those bastards from Orario.'

He had seen a member from the Laverna Familia. The same Familia that had killed Natsuki's friends. He wasn't a merciless killer, he didn't want to be one. But those people... he couldn't leave them alive. They would kill anyone as long as they could profit from it, and they took pleasure in it.

He looked at Natsuki and remembered how much pain he felt from her when she told him about that moment. How heavy the weight of guilt was on her. How scared she was of running into them once again.

Ad knew one thing. He would have to kill if he wanted to avoid people like that. He wouldn't stay a nobody to not pick up their attention. He would gladly attract them. And when they went for him, he would take them down.

With those thought in mind, he stood up. His Familia stopped whatever they were talking about and looked at him. Hestia, Iman and Natsuki had a troubled look on their faces, as they could feel that whatever he said, would bring a fight.

Adalwulf: I plan on challenging the Laverna Familia to a War Game. We have to train and every single one of you must Level Up.

They all felt something within them. This wasn't the Ad they all knew, always merry and smiling... no, that was wrong. He was still the same Ad they knew. But there was something else. Something that had awakened withing him. His usual charisma now felt like that of a commander. Like his word was absolute to them.

They didn't doubt their Captain. If Ad, who was gentle and caring, had a reason to do this, it would be a good one.

Natsuki, who had her head lowered, tried to hold in the tears that threatened to spill. She smiled warmly at him and got closer to him. Her next action brought him out of his thoughts.

In front of everyone, she had kissed him deeply, throwing him to the floor. If it hadn't been clear when they saw her fighting the tears, now it was. Whatever was going on, had to do with her.

Sorry for the lack of chapters. What happened is that...

A major update hit Warframe yesterday. As someone who had over 900 hours into the game, I instantly began grinding and farming for mats and stuff. So... yeah, I've been grinding for almost 36 hours.
