Turai had just woken up when he heard a knock on his door, followed immediately by Gareth's thick voice booming from the other side. Despite the late night of drinking, Gareth was up earlier than Turai, who had gone to bed shortly after sunset.
"Turai!" Gareth called out, his voice echoing through the quiet corridor. "You still sleeping in there, lad?"
Turai groaned, his mind still half-asleep, and blinked at the sunlight peeking through the small window of his room. He stretched his arms, his muscles sore from the constant travel and battles. "What time is it?" he mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"It's already daybreak, and most people are up starting their day!" Gareth barked back. "Get your lazy self out of bed!"
