"Why are we going back?" asked Edgar when Evelyn pulled him the other way.

"Aren't you curious what my parents are talking about by sending us away?" Evelyn questioned.

She preferred to be alone, but feeling a sense of responsibility towards this troublemaker, she knew she couldn't leave him alone. Although Daniel asked him to take care of her, obviously it should be the opposite.

Edgar pursed his lips into a thin line and thoughtfully nodded.

The secrets of the adults were usually very interesting.

"By the way, what are you doing here?"

"I knew from grandpa that you got kidnapped and hurt. I was worried about you."

This made her look at him incredulously. Her eyes almost popped out of her socket. Her lips parted.
