Cute Sight

Amelia stood there, leaning against the wall. She held on to Evelyn's bag. Anxiously and impatiently, she tapped her feet on the ground, waiting for Daniel to arrive.

Nausea churned her insides, and the fear gnawed at her heart. She found it difficult to breathe. Her hands trembled.

Daniel arrived soon and ran to the scene. She turned her head to look at him. Cold sweat gathered on his forehead, and those blue eyes of his held worry in them.

He walked over to grab her shoulders and asked, "Are you alright?"

"I am fine. What will happen to me? It's Evelyn who—"

Her bottom lip quivered. She found herself unable to continue. This made him pull her into a hug, and the tears she held in for so long came rushing out of her eyes, wetting his suit.

He patted on her back.
