Shufen is walking in her garden, thinking that very soon, her bastard of a father will start to act. He will not sit while he gets trampled by Master Mu. Knowing his attitude and behavior, he won't stop until he gets revenge.
"Fen-er, I'm sorry."
Shufen looked at her and smiled lightly.
"For what? For being a daughter of our parents? I know that we didn't choose them as parents."
"No, I'm just sorry." Yaling smiled at her and held her hands as they continued walking in the dark, and the moonlight was their only light source. Seeing sisters this close without biting each other was an incredible sight.
"And I, too, am sorry for what I could do in the future."
Yaling knew what Shufen meant by that, and she guessed it right. Be it a parent, child, or relative, once a revenge decision is made, nothing and no one can stop it. Once pain and misery runs too deep, it won't stop. It will flow until the carrier dies of it.
