Chapter 4

A girl stands beside a window in a dimly lit room, staring through the rain storm.

9:30 pm

Jina looked at the the busy night light, even though it was raining heavily, the outside was still lively.

Looking back on her memories. It feels unreal to be alive again, seeing familiar faces and emotions.

Jina smiled and walked to her table. She took her bag and exited her room. She glanced at her third brother's door and saw dim lights through the gaps, and listened to the sound. She made sure there was no noise coming from the room and walked silently to the front door of their house. She turned her gaze to the heavy rain and opens her umbrella.

On the side of the road

"Taxi!!" Jina motioned with her hands to stop the cab.

The car screeched to a halt in front of her.

"What are you doing here in the middle of the night, little girl, where are your parents?" The cab driver asked.

"I... My friend was in an accident, and I want to visit her in the hospital... my mom is still working, so she can't come with me, but I know the hospital, so could you please take me there?" Jina said. "I... I have money, and I'll give you more... please take me there," Jina said, her eyes welling up.

"No, I'll take you to your mother; tell me where you live, and I'll take you there!" The driver stated stubbornly.

Jina sighed, this driver is so nosy...

"My mother works at that hospital!" I can't contact her right now because she's too busy, and it would bother her. Maybe if you take me there, she won't be as busy and I can call her again.... and... and she said I'm still not healed from sickness and kids aren't allowed in the hospital because they're noisy and messy, but I'm not... I really want to see my friend. But I'm fine now. I'm not sick anymore...Uncle driver, see to yourself if I still have a fever," she said, putting the uncles hand to her forehead.

"See, I'm fine now!" Please take me there!" Jina sobbed pitifully.

The driver sighed; this child told a lie; all she wanted was to see her mother. Nowadays, parents simply leave their child all alone. I'll just take her to her mother and be done with it. "OK, kid, tell me where the hospital is and I'll take you there."

"Thank you very much uncle!" Jina smiled as she opened the door to the passengerseat. "The hospital's name is Kxxx, and it's located at 12 Road xxx.

"All right, girl, fasten your seat belt." The driver reminded her.

...Jina looks at the passing lights through the car's window.

I have to save Mom whatever the cost and change the future...

"Kid, we've arrived!" The driver told. "Call your mother right now"

Jina was roused from her Stupphor. "Oh, thank you very much, uncle here's the money."

"Girl! Call your mother and wait inside, it's still raining outside." Jina opened the door and ran outside while the driver counted the change.

"Come on, little girl!! It's pouring outside!! If you go please open your umbrella. Don't run so fast....!" The driver shouted helplessly behind Jina.

Jina standing near the hospital.

What should I do to stay in the hospital....

"Ohh..." Jina mumbled quietly...

about an hour later.

Jina showed up at the hospital's main entrance.

Someone noticed her at the door. "Hey, little girl, what are you doing up this late? "Where's your parents?" Jina did not respond

"hey kid, are you listening? Where are your parents?"

Jina passed out suddenly. They started to notice she was drenched all over and rushed to her side.

A staff member placed her hands on Jina's head and cried, "Oh my God!! The little girl is burning!! Get the stretcher immediately! Hurry!!" The staff yelled.

They carried her inside on a bed stretcher.

"Whose kid is this?" A male nurse questioned of the staff.

"I don't know, she suddenly fainted in front of the door," the lady staff pursed her lips.

"41.9 degrees!!! What happened to this child? Hurry to the ER and get an IV and ice. Her organs can be burned at any time if not treated right away!!" The male nurse hurriedly tell the other nurses.

"Shen, what's the matter? "How come you're all freaking out?" Su Mian inquired.

"Sister Su, there's a child with a fever, it's really bad, she could die from it." Nurse Shen expressed her concern.

"Where is the child's parents? "How did it get so serious?" Su mian furrowed her brow.

"Sister Su, you're good with kids right? Help me with this. I'll return you a favor" nurse shen said.

"Okay let's go" Su mian walk hurriedly.

"Wipe her body with ice towel, it can lower her body temperature."

"Doctor Tian, Nurse Su is here" Nurse shen said.

"Su, come here and put the iv drip on the child"

"Yes doctor Tian" Su mian walks over.

Su Mian was taken aback when she saw the girl's face.

"Nana..." Su mian ran to the side. "Nana!!! Nana wake up!! Nana!!"

"My baby, what happened to you?" Su mian cried.

Nurse Su calm down!! is this your child? " Doctor Tian questioned. "Give her an iv drop first or she will get dehydrated!"

Su mian nodded and trembled while putting the needle in Jina's arm.

"Nana..." Su mian cried while holding her child's hands.

Doctor Tian sighed "Let's go out, the fever is slowly dropping , nurse Su will be guarding the patient"

After everyone has left. Only Mother Su and Jina are in the room.

"Nana..." Mother Su sobs bitterly.
