Mr. Menezes wanted to adopt her

For the next two days, she searched for a job but still got the same result every time.

Since she couldn't get a job she bought the shares of some small companies which are going to make big in the future.

So, now with her savings, she doesn't think she can make it past a month.

The doorbell rang as she was getting dressed again like she had been doing for the past three days.

She was so exhausted from the past three days that she overlooked her past life. Everything felt like a dream but she knew it wasn't.

She knew who was at the door even without checking.

She opened the door not knowing her hands were shaking. She was so nervous that she didn't know what she should do.

She took a deep breath and reminded herself to be calm and composed in this circumstance. She has the power to change her life.

"Miss Samia" the man on the door greeted her. She knew he was Ethan Menezes even without any introduction. But she couldn't act as if she knew him.

He is too smart and he will notice something.

"Yes?" Samia replied.

"I got your information from your university and wanted to have a conversation with you regarding something." He said

"Oh, please come in ." She had no choice but to ask him in.

Though her apartment was small with a living room, a bedroom, and a kitchen, it was still clean.

She served him water while saying apologetically " I only have water at this moment to serve you with you will have to make do with it Mr..?" She paused and looked at him.

"Ethan Menezes" Ethan Menezes replies.

"Mr. Menezes." if she could she don't want to offer even a glass of water to him.

Without wasting his time anymore Ethan Menezes started the topic.

"I own Menezes corporation." He thought who hasn't heard the name of Menezes corporation, it would be enough for his introduction. So he continued " I and my wife are already in our 40s, and we don't have a child of our own. So for the past few years, we have been searching for someone who can handle both us and our work. I have seen your information, you are very smart since childhood getting 1st rank everywhere. I want you to take over my corporation." He thought it was still not convincing so he added "you have already seen how hard it is to earn money and I am offering you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I know you would not deny me. You would not want to live in this apartment for your whole life, right."

He thought that it would be enough so he explained about his company a little more in case this lady didn't know how much of a bigshot he was.

Of course, he knew at this point she was already 23 so he can't talk about feelings and affection with her right? Since she has seen the world she would choose the easier path.

But what he didn't know was she chose the easier path in her previous life only to realize how wrong she was.

Samia was burning with anger. She wanted to shout at him and say Do you know how ridiculous you sound?

Like such a big person will give his company to her so easily, without any motives. She was a fool in her past life to even believe such words. They don't sound convincing at all ok. She wondered what she was thinking back then to believe such superficial words.

She swallowed the words which were threatening to come out of her mouth and said

" It's surely a golden opportunity Mr. Menezes. But I am fine with my current lifestyle" His expression eased after hearing her but became more confused and angry after hearing what she said.

Before he could say anything she continued " I am fine with my current life. And you are mistaken about us. What we orphans desire the most in this world is not money but love and affection surely money is very important but I am capable enough to earn a little amount of it to fill my stomach. I am not buying any of your nonsense nor I am going to change my decision. So please see yourself out. " She said so much in one breath. She didn't want to waste more time talking with him. She was afraid that she would do something in a fit of anger.

He really couldn't say any more now that the lady has showed him out. He was a person with dignity after all.

He sighed and stood up to leave. After leaving her apartment he murmured in a low voice " that's all I could do to bring her back if she doesn't want to come it's still her fault. Anyway, she'll come when she won't get a job. That would be the one last chance when I'll let her in. "

It turned out that he was manipulating things from behind to prevent her from getting a job.

Of course, Samia also came to realize that because so many companies rejected her even after having so many qualifications.

Samia was exhausted after dealing with Ethan, though the visit was shorter than her previous life because they discussed some more things but now she doesn't want to have anything to do with him anymore.
