Rose's heart raced when she heard Evan's cheerful voice from the other end.
"I miss you, hubby!"
Evan instantly stood from his seat when he heard her voice low-spirited. Like half of her soul left her. What happened?
Gavin, who sat opposite Evan, was stunned, looking at his boss' face, becoming worried. He was sure their meeting was over. He quietly left the room, waiting in his room.
"Wife, I know what you felt right now, and I just want you to know I am here. If I can help you in any way, please say so…" Evan wished he could fly to the capital and accompany his wife. He can sense she is sad now.
