Smelly Death...

As Van is laying around his favorite couch, he is eating from a cup of ice cream as he watches a movie. When suddenly, two similar objects fell onto his lap from god knows where!

''WHAO?!? WH-WHAt ... the... how did...'' Van exclaimed as he was shocked beyond description.

As Van stared at the objects as they looked like a pair of gemstones, one being in a blue, the other in a green color. Van quickly got up as he held the pair of gems in each hand, he looked around in order to figure out where the gemstones came from, not realizing the gems starting to radiate with their respected colors as they attach themselves to Van's arms.

Van's surprise and shock turned into fear and paranoia as he speculated that someone must have thrown the gems at his house, but why? He then speculated that some people must be after these gemstones as they looked like they were beyond priceless...

Van quickly started to run in a circle, contemplating on what to do next. He then looked down at his hands and tried to open them, but to no avail as every time he tried to open up his palms, more light would radiate and force his palms to clutch the gemstone even harder!

As this was happening, Van who was witnessing the events before his eyes started to scream as he fell down to the floor on his ass because of the shock.

While this was happening, a storm of lightning suddenly appeared above Van's small house as a surge of lightning striked his little abode, reducing everything in it's path even smaller than ashes.

Inside the endless white void, a young man suddenly awakens in panic.

Looking down on himself, he quickly feels around his body, and finds out that his body is alright, not even a scratch left on it.

"Alright.... so, I had found a pair of gemstones that glued themselves to my hands...'

As Van said this, he quickly brought his hands in front of him as he started to hastily inspect his hands, with no signs of any gemstones he finally relaxes a bit as he tries to remember what had happened afterwards...

'' After that.... I was hit by a surge of lightning which just came out of nowhere... and now I'm in the middle of a white, empty space. I... don't seem to have even a scratch on me...."

Van then starts looking around in order to figure out where the hell is he. In order to relieve his tensions, Van starts to joke around.

Van: '' Good job Van... you finally managed to die....okay.... What's next? A god will appear in front of me and will tell me that my death was an accident? hehhe...''

Not a single moment passes as an old man suddenly appears before him, on his knees with his head on the ground yelling at the top of his lungs....''

"I'm sorry! I did not think that a lightning storm would appear when I suddenly farted! I'm so sorry!"

Van: ''…. Wait... what …. OI OI! OLD MAN, THE HELL A-ARE YOU TA-TALKING ABOUT?!? IS THIS SOME KIND OF JO-JOKE? W-W-WHAT THE HEL-L IS GOING ON!?!?'' he exclaimed with great shock!

Looking up at Van, the old man rises back up and says;

"I can assure you Van, that this is not a joke at all. You are currently dead. This is the space between the world of the living and the world of the dead." He start's explaining with a serious expression.

Van: ''...Alright …. I-I think I understand. I mean I finally remember everything that happened before I fell unconscious.... But!!!... What do you mean by 'when I farted'!?''

Fidgeting around, the so-called "God" start's explaining.

"Well you see, things are quite boring up here, so from time to time, I tend to come down to Earth and enjoy myself among you humans. I like trying new inventions such as games, foods, and that kind of stuff.

So as I was just descending down to Earth... I just felt my belly tingle a bit and had a sudden urge to fart.... Van?... You still there with me Van?"

God said towards a Van devoid of any expression.

Van: ''....h-hahaha.... I.... I-I died... t-to a fart...? ''

God: ''Yes.... Look, Van.... I know that you are dead because of me and my negligence. So, in order to make up for my mistakes, I wanted to offer you a reincarnation! And this won't be a simple reincarnation as I can also give you a few abilities other than your own. So what do you think?''

Van: ''R-r-reincarnate me? A-are you serious?...''

God: ''Yes! I really will reincarnate you to a world of your desires. And yes, the worlds that are counted as fiction exist as well. It is my design that some worlds receive the stories of other worlds by me sending them the story of one person's life which they think is just their imaginations. focusing on the person called 'Main Character' and use their lives in order to spread the knowledge about that world. ''

Van: ''W-well.... that's great, but what did you mean when you said that you'd give me abilities other than my own?''

"What I mean is that I'll give you abilities other than the powers of the Two Dragon Emperors "

"Oh.... I-I see..... W-W-WAIT WH-WHAAT?!?"

" W-what do you mean, 'Dragon Emperors'..." Van asked while stuttering.

"Did you not know? The gemstones that had fused with you were the Red Dragon Emperor and the White Dragon Emperor." God simply shrugged.

'' T-THE TWIN DRAGON EMPERORS?!? W-WHAT WERE THEY DOING AROUND ME?!? WAIT ARE THEY R-REAAAL?!? A-AND-D W-W-WHY WOULD THEY CH-HOOSE S-SO-SOMEONE LI-LIKE M-ME?!?'' Van exclaimed in a loud and confused manner.

'' You did not know, but you were living in the world of DxD. The dragons chose you because unlike any other previous host they had, they felt that you could unleash their full power with no drawbacks. So when they reached you, they met with each other and saw that their arch-rival had wished to bond with the same host as them. This causing them to be angered and forced them in a race of time as they started to bond with you aiming to be the victor, but they actually finished bonding with you at the same time. So they started to fight inside your body and soul in order to push the other one out and claim you as theirs. This is where the great I comes in play as my.....*AHHEM*... 'Divine Intervention'... filled with divine energy engulfed you and the two weakened dragons, and instead of merely bonding, with the help of my divine energy, both of the dragons ended up becoming fused to you. Thus making you the very last host for both of the dragons, as the three of you are now fused as a single soul, meaning that If you die, they will permanently die as well.'' God explained in a wise and holy manner.

Van: ''I LIVED INSIDE DxD!?!?! NOOOOOO, MY LEGENDARY LIFE IS OVER BEFORE IT BEGAAAAAN?!?

This made Van extremely shocked as his mind could not take the loads of information, which caused it to short circuit and Van blacked out.

- *30 minutes later* -

As Van opened his eyes, he saw an old man staring at him from above.

He quickly screamed as he leaped up and looked around.

''WHERE AM I!?!''

God: ''Oh for the love of me.....''

Then God quickly fixed up Van and made him remember everything that has transpired.

And before Van could go into another one of those shocked moments of his, God intervened once more as he made Van comprehend and accept the situation.

Van: ''phew.... so, as I was saying. I would like to be Reborn in the Tales of Demons and Gods! I want to be reborn at the age of 14, starting my first year at Holy Orchid Institute, to put it bluntly, I want to be at the very get-go of the story. So how about it?''

God: '' I can do that but wouldn't putting you in there with no background be really strange? When I put you inside the academy, no one will know you. But if you want to, I can reincarnate you as a baby and set your course of destiny for a certain time? With this, you will know exactly what will happen to you for a time and guarantee yourself a safe road to the story and know the exact circumstances of what's around you.''

God then begins to inform Van about his future destiny after Van agrees;

God: '' Alright kid, I'll make it so that the Divine Family will find you around the forest or something and they'll take you in as a step-son. But because of your low talent, few will actually know that you are a member of the Divine family, but this does not mean that you will be treated badly inside the Chen's. I will make your soul properties just like Nie Li's, meaning: red realm and no form. You'll practically be a background character that's just there in order to avoid attention. Well, that's how it normally is but I can tell you that you would not need cultivation speed anyways, as you have a pair of god-slaying dragons residing within you.''

''So what do you say, good enough for you?" God then asked.

Van: ''I think so.... I'm okay with it.''

Great. Now leaving that aside, tell me what abilities do you want to have? But remember I can only give you about 3 of them so chose wisely."

"Hmm, I wonder what should I pick...?"

Thinking things over. he finally decides.

"For abilities, I want the Conquerer's Haki from One Piece, and I wish for it to evolve with my cultivation level and not by the rules of One Piece's world. For my second ability, I want to have no limits, meaning I can get as strong as I desire and I want Instant Mastery. As for the third, I want to have the abilities of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy. Also as an extra bonus could you give me the ability to travel to different worlds and bring people along with me?"

Just as God was about to say something, Van quickly exclaimed;

'' Ah, the sorry and miserable I, having no joy in life is killed by a FART! And as for compensation, I merely wanted a single more ability. But the heartless and cruel god who FARTED on me will insist that I cannot have a SINGLE extra ability....'' with a sad and depressed tone.

"FINE FINE!! BUT! I will make it so that you cannot travel between worlds constantly, so I will restrict the ability with a cooldown of some years. Then I will make your Haki and the abilities of Sephiroth become stronger as your cultivation level rises. Exiting a room, a 14 years old Van could be seen with looks that could be defined as simply breathtaking. his spiky silver hair long enough to reach his shoulders, his wolf-like facial features that are sharp with a wild charm and a little hint of elegance. But, most importantly. If one looked at his eyes, they would notice that their colors were different. His right, green colored eye could be seen shining with power as his left, yellow colored eye was shining with a light of dominance.

In 14 years, Van diligently studied the library of the Divine Family, From cultivation arts and medical techniques to common knowledge, since his comprehension ability was far superior than even the best of the best, he was able to fully convert the thousands of books about cultivation and medical techniques into a single set of cultivation technique, which he called [The Heavenly Dragon Emperor's Ascension]. *a fitting name because of the dragons...and cultivation to ascend realms.....ya know...hehe... ok...:<...*

And after he perfected his martial skill, he began to concentrate on his other reason for coming to this world;

A few hours later, after Van managed to put together several techniques together;

"Ok, I think that this will be enough for now. This should suit her soul realm."

Using his Advanced Mastery, Van finally managed to complete the manual for Ning'er.

While he analyzing the results he got, fatigue came crashing over.

"Whoa, its night time already. I should get some rest, as I have school tomorrow."

He exited the library and headed towards his room for a good night's sleep.

In the Holy Orchid Institute, Fighter apprentice class. Van can hear that a few students were discussing softly among themselves.

The attention of the students were focused on the teacher. She had a tall figure, was wearing a lavender dress that wrapped tightly around her body, giving an emphasis of her perky chest. She had a pair of slender, white legs, and wore exquisite make-up that made her look beautiful and elegant.

Then she began to speak arrogantly;

''Spiritualist...blahblahblah....blahblah...pride...blah! check out my nine tails cosplay blah blah!''

Suddenly, Shen Xiu's face and hands underwent drastic changes. Her facial shape became sharper, her teeth and nails also became longer. Finally, a scarlet tail emerged from her back.

"After merging with a demon, I can control its strength as well as gain fire-type abilities. Among the Blah blah demon blah blood blah cultivation level blahBLAAH!!."

As Shen Xiu was boasting around, Van started to look for various students;

''Hmm, now let's look for Nie Li, he is at the back, then the ones at his side must be Lu Piao and Du Ze, the purple haired girl a sitting in front must be Ye Ziyun. Now, for Ning'er *looking around* … Ah! she's a seat below me, that is good.''

While listening to the lecture, Xiao Ning'er felt a gaze on her. Normally this would not bother her, as she is used to having people looking at her, but this look was somehow different.

She doesn't feel perverseness or that kind of bad feeling. Not being able to surprise her urge, she takes a peek and is surprised to find a handsome boy with shoulder length silver hair, and an alluring pair of different colored eyes looking back at her.

For a few moments, their sights interlocked, until Van smiled towards Ning'er. She quickly lowered her gaze as a blush appeared on her face.

Van was thinking for ways to win over her heart, but suddenly, he felt some kind of energy coming from Nie Li.

Turning to take a look, he sees the astonished gaze Nie Li hold's while looking around. This means that he's been reborn. That means, my partners are close to waking up as well! I cannot wait to see the looks on their faces when I tell them what happened!
